Life / Do Polish people have a temper? [53]

My mother does not have a temper. At all. She is typical slow thinking observer. That's the reason I love her so much.

Life / Why are Polish people so obsessed with race? [160]

I don't think Polish people are obssesed with race. They just like to look at people who differ from them. They like originality, they seem to think that from other country means more exciting, interesting, compelling, astonishing. Why? Because many of Polisfhpeople do respect different nationalities and we treat the same way we wanted they treated us.

It is not strange for me at all.
I'd rather say that foreigners who come here have to fight with stereotypes they have about poeple from my country and, when they talk to real us they have to change their opinion.

For many of them it is funny.
My friend who was born in Australia used to laugh on all bus when some Polish people where looking at him and his friend from RPA, who is black. When he was describing the situation he was laughing like crazy.

Po polsku / Czy polskie PF jest reprezentatywne? [13]

Nie, nie sa.
Wielu Polaków to indywidualiści i niechętnie zgadzają się z opinią ogółu. Opinia większości jest opinią osób najmniej zdolnych.

Expose premiera? Nie oglądałam, bo akurat nie mogłam. Mogę Cię prosić, żebyś mi je streścił, Polonius?

UK, Ireland / Poles and Irish, what do you think, are we friends or enemies? [62]

Enemies?
I don't know Irish people. My friend from high school spent two one or two years in Ireland and she said Irish people have a lot in common with Polish. I don't know exactly what did she want to say, I guess that we have similar sense of humour.

Work / Job opportunities with Hungarian-Swedish-English languages in Poland? [51]

Opportunities of getting a job in Poland are similar to any other countries.
You are taking a good mood, and a positive attitude, plus, of course you neeed to have targets: three per day?
You can have a list of companies you want to work for: you go and ask for a job.
I can almost assure you foreigners are welcome in Poland.
One more thing : it's better to work in a place yuo want to work, not in a place where poeple want you to...
Just: it 's better to look for job you want.
If you want the job, you'll get it.

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

To continue the topic:
The more I try to see reality around me - the more surprised I am. actually many things change for tbe better: everything changes and the pace of these changes just surprisees me:he is horrible from one point of view, but, on the other and hand it's good.

well, I can only say that the world changes only if we are ready to notice it. If we aren't and everything around us just seems to grey (like polish films) for example.

I have a friend who used to say every single time I was with her to see a movie that polish firlms are grey. I don't now what did she want to say, but, watching films depends od your personl abilities to see what the screenplayer or director want to show.

Travel / Lesser known places in Poland? [8]

"Dolina Śmierci" is a symbol of martyrology. Sad, abondonned and very depressing place. Some people were trying to pay tribute to victims of September 1939 who were murdered there in many ways.

Life / Do Polish parents let/encourage their kids to **** outdoors? [40]

It's interesting what foreigners notice in Poland.
I saw some funny and disgusting scenes during studying at a sport camp. Yes, it happens. To drunk or a very tired students.
I really don't remember many people who do it in public places. Even if I see something like it I go on the second side of the street or I just don't pay any attention.

Food / What a typical Polish family eats. How do they prepare food and who cooks at home? [37]

Yes, why not?
Fish covered with salt and pepper, some onion, sprinkled with lemon, other seasoning, not too healthy French fries and a lot of ketchup or garlic sauce (if a guest wished) that make the meal more spicy.

It's just one example.
Fish can be prepared in many ways. An imagination and experience of a cook has the biggest meaning.

Food / What a typical Polish family eats. How do they prepare food and who cooks at home? [37]

I like various food.
for breakfast: cereals, (many kinds) and dark bread + many types of cheese or jam at breakfast, sometimes eggs and bread...
for dinner: soups, (all kinds, especially tomatoe soup which is my favourite) pasta with green vegetables, noodles with chicken, meatballs, cutlets, rice with apples and cinnamone, fishes, potatoes, cabbage, beetroots, green vegetables, and so on...

for supper: sanwiches, tomatoes with onion and basil, pancakes, pizza (sometimes) or other deliciousness from exotic restaurants.
Young Poles make food at home but their recipies are often a mistery. Some prefer to order food in restaurants.
My favourite Polish meal is: fish and chips although it's not traditionally very Polish. Why? Because it's very tasty, very healthy and very spicy. You can make a piece of culinary art having just some ingredients.

I don't know if food changes form area to area. I guess so.
