Food / What do non-Poles think about eating the following Polish foods? [1303]
Pumpking would make it a bit sweet would't? Sweet and spicy is good if you like. It makes the sauce also thicker.
I'm not a big fun of aubergines (egg plants) :)

Sushi? Yumm!! Everybody should give it a shot.
Lecho also yumm. Bell pepper, tomatoes, kielbasa, some boczek, spices... Good for winter! And Hungarian paprika-impotrant :)

Sexual education is very important and should be mandatory in Polish schools.
Abortion should not be treated as a contraception.
The truth is that it is a woman's decision. I'm not saying that a man should't be involved. But, first of all, it's her body and second of all in many cases a man disappear when the problem of unwanted pregnancy occurs in a relationship. Sad, but true.

Let a woman decide. At the end of the day, she will live with her secision, no one else.

As a matter of fact, biology is fantastic and somebody with passion would talk for hours about cell's organellas. Many doesn't know that because it's not in a textbook, and somehow rightfully so at that level.
But do not shot down a kid who wants to speak up.

I don't think that memorizing textbooks is a form of thinking out side of the box. There was no other option, and you were ignored when trying to state your way of thinking. That's what I remember from my Polish school days.

I think that Polish education system is flat wrong, doesn't teach thinking out side the box and talented kids are not given a chance.

I don't agree Barney. Many kids are too smart to be in the class with other avarage kids. And it is not because of a teacher, some kids are just gifted and it is lowering their level when they have to sit in a classroom where a teacher is explaining 5th time the same thing to students when the smart kid got it in 5 mins. Waste of their time and their future.

Yeah, the averages. That is why I was wondering if Poland gives the chance to kids who are above average, on more advanced level of their classmates. If not, it is such a waste.

Is a kid with high grades and ambitions stay in a class with other B and C students or will be moved to a school where more kids smart like him are to challenge his knowledge on higher level than usual in schoold.
I'm talking about elementary or high school, because uni is up to the kid mostly anyway.

Maybe if in Poland more taxes were invested toward education, to pay for faculty hours, equipment, experiments, field trips etc, Polish high education schools were on the top of the list.
