Travel / What is the ugliest city or town in Poland? [89]

. In the UK cities can have ugly estates.

|You are right there.I live not from from Portsmouth and that place is the pits.Ok there is lots to do.But the planners seem to let private money build a nice retail outlet and housing and neglect the old shopping areas.

As for housing estates,Buckland and Sommers town are depressing run down.

most are very fake, all make up and tarty clothes.

So the girls waiting outside a club near me at the weekend with their fake orange tan, peroxide blonde hair and wearing skirts 2 sizes to small which just covers their ass must be Polish then?

[quote=ReservoirDog]Give the men hell once they get one !!!!
Bad experience then?

Law / Opening a Polish Bank Account by a foreigner in Poland. Recommendations. [299]

told me i needed a contract from work to prove that money will be going in

Most strange it took about 1/2hr of form filling and id checking to open my PKO account.I personally have never had any problems with them over the last 4 years.I transfered money from the UK with no problem and still do.But it is interesting to see most of the posts on here saying stay away.I guess you all had problems.

Polonia / Polish satellite TV abroad [40]

just wondered if needed subscription and Polish decoder

Get the card and cam whilst over in Poland. No you do not need a Polish decoder but you will if you buy just the card.I have a Technomate 5400Ci + and Technomate 1500 Super Ci.As long as the box has a CI slot you should be fine as mine works with no problems,When you register the card they do ask what decoder you are using.Im sure that Polsat Cyfra use a 80/85cm dish.If you are on the limits you can legaly go up to 1.2mtr dish on your house with out planning permision.

Take a look at these sites they are a very useful tool.
