Life / Are you too selfish to leave Poland? [22]

More than 1 way to skin a cat!

the fact anyone would 'want' to skin a cat lol ;)

Its an interesting topic in the 'what are you thinking about when considering to leave Poland'
I still think the 'selfish' aspect you mention is not as key a player. Selfishly, I would imagine your more disposed to doing whats best for you - which is usually more money init.

Life / Are you too selfish to leave Poland? [22]

I can see this topic is going to have some 'interesting' remarks made.

I wouldn't g so far to call it selfishness. It is a very big decision. Many an Irishperson faced these until the recent economic boom and it was not an easy snap decision.

My father took us to the UK to get work and I was too young to understand the economic background to it at all.

I think that its people's call to decide to follow the money (historically proven to be a large drawing factor) or to try make the best of it at home.

UK, Ireland / Your opinion about cheap and easy Polish Girls in UK? [30]

This type of women know that they can make quick money so they do it...Like I said, it works both ways......Nothing is pointless about it...

I think your from another world! MEN forced women into too! women force women into, MEN do it too! your crass generalisations and sadistic view of women is disturbing.

it wouldn't be also men to disrepect them

BULL! men force women into that industry also some choose it some have no choice. its a POINTLESS example! it exists as people will pay for it.

my point was and is it works both ways - you initially made it out to be one sided until i posted the opposite

USA, Canada / CULTURE SHOCK! (of my Polish finance who visited the US) [210]

Did i miss the general thrust of this thread then D? I thought that was an accurate summary.

i havent said you have or have not. are you saying you werent being a little tongue in cheek?

Thanks K for the reminder, i'd forgotten.

Poland is a big bad backwater where crime is rife, no one is friendly and there is no hope, only vodka.

well there IS vodka, but i know your taking the p1ss. I love the family values in Poland and find my many friends there are great! but to paraphrase pulp fiction 'it's the little things, i mean they got the same **** we got here but its just different'

we all grow up in our own society and WILL of course notice these little things from another society. I for one, find it fascinating.

History / Poland's January Uprisings of 1863 [76]

The Warsaw Uprising was a continuation of the unfortunate tradition of unsuccessful Polish uprisings, which were cultivated in the 20th `century

so were the irish successive rebellions and uprisings. you only need to succeed once :) (in theory)

Its all very well to attack it now - in hindsight.

but imagine you were there. you could no more stand by an injustice. no human could live like that. (a decent human that is)

all we can do, is use the lessons of the past and learn from them in the future. to learn from the errors and build on the successes

what did the Warsaw Uprising achieve?

your the type of person that says 'the end of the world is today!'

you only need to be right once!

i saw again, re the uprising (as you seemed content to repeat yourself rather than discuss further points)

its all very well in hindsight - if they knew then what we know now, they may have done it differently (may - as its moot point)
