Food / Russia vs Poland Vodka war [70]

Wódka is Polish. It's been proven and most people who know anything about alcohol may/should know this. I think "vodka" was adopted as the official spelling in the west because in Poland the W is pronounced like a V so they settled on the easier, less confusing Russian spelling of Vodka.

Travel / Why do people say that Poland is so unsafe? [60]

So why do people describe Poland as a super dangerous place?

It's the Jew media of the west that likes to stereotype Poland like this. Because there is no other logical explanation for why you would think this, is there? What brought you to Poland?

Travel / Why do people say that Poland is so unsafe? [60]

I just can't see why everyone in western Europe describes Poland as dangerous when their countries (our countries) for what i experienced are way more dangerous.

It's anti-Polish propaganda. I think dumb westerners assume the "east" is automatically less safe. How many school shootings happen in Poland? I have heard of a few incidents in Germany for example. Now, maybe Poland can be unsafe for people that stand out or are too arrogant (ex.blacks trying to pick up a Polish guys woman) but when I was in Poland I only felt uncomfortable once- when I was on a train full of rowdy skin heads going to a soccer match in Opole.

UK, Ireland / Are Polish people importing a new wave of ancient racism into the UK? [402]

English people are as racist as Polish. They just won't say it to your face. Poles will :)

Agreed 100%! hehehehehe
I guess Poles are not used to seeing Paki's, Indians, Arabs and Africans spreading like a virus in a country that has a "rich" and "proud" history like England. But the English are letting their country be raped.

Life / 3 reasons why you hate Poland. [1049]

2. Bad wather

C'mon. Poland has the same weather patterns as Germany and most of France. And we all know England, Ireland and Scotland have the worst weather in Europe :)

Food / Russia vs Poland Vodka war [70]

I have a s'tupid Bulgarian house mate (he's in Bulgaria now for the summer). He believes that Absolut is the best vodka in the world. S'hit for brains. Here in Canada, Absolut seems to dominate the market. I dunno how but they have done it. This proves that humans are s'tupid by nature. Kinda like saying McDonald's is the best cuisine in the world cuz it's everywhere. Absolut is not great. Very watery in taste. For puss'ies. That being said, there are a lot of Polish vodkas sold in Canada.

Anyways I gave him Zubrówka to try and he liked it. Liked the after taste and strength. If it was not for me, he would not have known. I was expecting more knowledge of Polish vodkas from an Eastern European.

UK, Ireland / Brit Polonia fighting anti-Polish stereotypes [46]

On second thought, I can even extend the challenge to include all plastic Poles,
and Polish emmigrants in various countries around the World - they are Polish too after all
and you have written "Polish anti-semites" and "complete lack of Polish people"
countering anti-semitism.

I've written about not liking Jews but I gave my reasons. The reasons were that they pretty much blame all the Poles for not helping them in WWII and believe we owe them compensation in the year 2010 for lost property. Jews give Poles a bad name. Ant-Polonism is in their blood. Pretty soon Germans will be innocent of starting WWII. I live in Toronto.

It's a wine region. Why should they be experts on wódka?

Ok smart a'ss. Look, he sees Absolut as the best, which is a farce. And favours Russian over Polish. He's clearly insane ;)

Life / Why are the Italians and Polski so much alike? [90]

I think it's the Catholic connection. I also think the two groups like family life a bit more than the colder atheist and protestant nations like the UK and Germany. Let's be honest, Poles are more hospitable than the cold, heartless Teutonic German or the snobbish, morally corrupt Anglo. I'm gonna use stereotypes here but I believe Poles and Italians are more festive and are willing to share more with a stranger. So religion and a festive lifestyle can go a long way in uniting people.

Life / Who's Leaving Poland? [138]

Poles are NOT leaving Poland. They are going abroad for a couple of years to earn some
money and come back. Most of my friends, who emmigrated in 2004 and after, are already
back in Poland.

true. Just like my cousin from Brzeg.

News / Poland - the least liked German neighbour. [210]

Another provocative article. If these stats are true then let it be. It shows the evil and intolerant nature of the Kraut. It also shows the lack of logic and intelligence. What the h'ell have Poles done to the Krauts? Anyways, this nation has to die out and it will - before Poland. I hate the German. A good German is a dead one :)

News / Poland - the least liked German neighbour. [210]

Germans seem to look left at France and right at Russia...and that's it....

Are you saying they have a better opinion of Russians? I don't know what to make of all this. Seems like the Germans are the ones being ignorant and overlooking Poland. In that sense Poles are more worldly and knowledgeable than Germans will ever be cuz we learn about other countries next to us. Do the Russians have a bigger media presence in Germany? Poles will never really love Germans if they continue to be so ignorant. And then you guys wonder why Poland has a love affair with America and listens and does business with them? A german/Russian love match is worrisome to Poles.

PS: A Polish girl who's lived in Austria for 20 years told me there is still a big divide between west and east Europe.

Polish car thieves etc etc. They will never say they dislike Poles for being a major obstacle to German expansionism.

Here's one : hide your children. The Germans are here :)
This is one stereotype the Polish media can take advantage of :)

News / POLAND LEAVING WHAT COUNTRY FOR A BETTER LIFE?? [73]

Poles are often thought to be the ones leaving Poland in record numbers for countries like the UK and Ireland. What other countries are compelling their citizens to leave? I've heard there's a lot of Italians in the UK as well. And isn't unemployment in Spain around 20%? Where are they going for work? And in Toronto recently I've come across a lot of Brits and Frenchies. They seem to be leaving in big numbers too.

Why are Poles the only ones seen as "invading" Europe with cheap labour?

Life / WHY DO POLES USE ENGLISH WORDS IN CONVERSATION? [396]

There is no Polish equivalent to the "last minute" notion - maybe if you find a nice Polish phrase which would describe "bilety albo zakwaterowanie kupowane w ostatniej chwili i dlatego o wiele taniej niż normalnie", you might be able to eliminate this borrowing. Please feel free to try. ;-p

How about "bilety z oztatnej chwili"?

Travel / My friends advise me not to go to Warsaw because people are horrible there? [30]

One of my mate who lives in Turen keep saying not to go, that people are horrible there, uneducated

Don't listen to this nonsense. Warsaw is the most cosmopolitan city in Poland. It's the center of everything including higher education. Poles are better educated than their western counter parts concerning the world.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

I don't hear Polish jokes in Toronto BUT it annoys me how some young Polish kids refer themselves as "Polaks" all the time. A lot of the older Canadian generation refers to Poles as "Polaks" as well.
