sorry mate but it seems that your grandma wasnt polish but slovak. Halupki isnt americanized name for golabki but slovak name for the same stuff. halushki is slovak national dish but its not with cabbage but with cheese. maybe the one your granda made was some variation of the original recipe.

m not that sure if they are coming back but more likely some of them go after polish citizenship. and i guess this move is not caused by sentiments but rational thinking. its good to have EU passport.

I was talking to an Architect friend of mine and he was saying that Witkacy put together the existing mountain style, that it was there already, Witkacy just popularised it.

Witkiewicz wzorował się na tradycyjnym budownictwie górali podhalańskich wzbogacając je elementami secesji.

he based his style on the traditional polish highland architecture enriching it with elements of secession
