your life is going wonderful, then the rug which you stepped on, seems to be pulled
out from under your feet.

Women will always get on with life, whatever is thrown at them P, my friend's husband actually left her for someone older and to be honest I threw a party because he was such a loser all the girls were happy to see the back of him...he however still keeps going on how much of a mistake he made, she has moved on!

But getting back to topic, I dont really think women are that different around the world...you will get easy women and women that are not..

LoneStranger

I think your comments are so lovely but.....you dont have a crystal ball so how can know how you will feel....things change people change....thats life

Life / Alcohol problems of Polish people [141]

You see Miranda....In UK with this huge drinking culture if you said it, some people would think that you are not "cool", boring.....got drunk is main aim here.

Im not sure about that, I know people that dont drink and I dont consider them odd for not wanting to....Like I have said everything in moderation I enjoy a few glasses of wine with friends of a weekend since I dont usually drink through the week (once in a blue moon) I think my drinking habbits are acceptable and yes I will get a little bit tipsy now and again, but I still know how to conduct myself

You would struggle in England. I think that around 11pm there was last round and closing time.

laws have changed bars can open 24 hours if they like, most local pubs will open until 12/1 and bars in the city centre will close at about 2am and clubs about 4am

Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

I dont think Polish people are rude, not in the slightest I have always found them polite.

Ivona you must walk around with a broom stuck up your backside...

I think that is totally unfair, Iwona askes in a positive way, she is not having a dig, she is merely showing cultural differences and asking the reasons behind it, one thing I do find the most irritating is when people spell others names incorrectly! Iwona...not Ivona...

This is very true Mr M, I personally feel that Polish people have a lovely command / usage of their language, one which the English have long since forgotten, we no longer express ourselves the way we used to, the vocaulary is very limited amongst the younger generation, its quite sad really since there are so many ways to say so many things...

Thank you Amathyst, it looks that my post was taken again in wrong way.

People on here tend not to look at the bigger picture and have a tendancy to jump on people without actually thinking things through, we all have little differences in cultures, as for the smiling, we have been here before and like I said I had a good look one morning and saw no glowing smiles on the way to work, but a load of miserable faces....I may add they were English miserable faces!

I guess being dumb is starting to be randy these days.

I don't you mean randy..lol (what's on your mind at the moment) I think you may have meant trendy...

The art of conversation is being deminished, people have personal stereo's people prefer to sit in front a square box and not converse with others...I think what people read has a lot to do with it and a lack of interest in world

I use please at the beginning of a sentence..

Please may I have ......

and then we say thank you at the end...

in England we have a saying

Manners maketh a man

Okay here is an example....growing up as a child we had to ask for permission to leave the dinner table..

Please may I leave the table..

Please may I have a drink..etc.

Maybe its a little different when in a pub, I would say - I'll have a g&t please

Love / 6 months with my Polish girlfriend and I still don't understand her.. [208]

She doesn't know that her friend has contacted me, so when we speak next, she will be none the wiser.

girls will tell each other everything...trust me..

I would suggest you leave it - totally, when a women says "I just really want to be friends" its a really polite way of saying I really dont fancy you that way, but I like your company...It's quite evident that you are interested in her in a romantic way and she is not reciprocting those feelings...thats life, just dont hassle her she will begin to resent it...

Im actualy amazed I got my O level in geography since I hated it...but travel, reading and conversation with those that have travelled extensively always helps to understand about different countries and their cultures...

exactly, she is an individual, living a life of choices she made herself..

Look Mr L, I am not going to get into a debate about this, she is a women who has made her own life choices which have not be governed by being Polish and what a Polish person should be....

Mr F, I suppose it depends on who your friends are and who you know, I personally dont discuss my personal stuff with friends no matter how close they are, its just not me, Im not comfortable talking about certain things, I suppose it comes down to, I wouldnt like a guy talking about personal stuff to his friends....

Also its nice to just have something between you and your partners...
