Love / Polish women USED TO BE much more attractive: [162]

Part of the problem in the US is the preponderance of inexpensive food

Quote Rybnik

I have been hearing more deaths are occuring from prescription pills.. which dont do anything
but mask the problem.
I think more people will die sooner from that then food..but i dont disagree with your statement
I think genetics plays a big role and the foods are the triggers.. but if you look at all the pesticides
on the fruits and veggies * I read* they tested them and some of these good for you foods
had up to 56 different pesticides still in them.. so how can you wash away something that is inside
the food and we are consuming it?

And if they dont use pesticides , then you get bugs up your rump ( literally) lol.

Its the govt fault... someone said dam them all to hell!! yes dam them!!

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

Does it stand to reason then that Poles can take pride in the accomplishments of Russians? Egyptians?

only if they are half Polish and half russian or Egyptian... even 1/3 and 1/4 could count too :)

Does it stand to reason then that non Poles can be proud of what Polish people accomplished generations ago?

yes, if its something that our ancestors have accomplished that we are here today and we can learn
from this and move forward into the future with the feeling of greatness and continue on because
of it.. yes, I think feeling proud is quite accurate..

my father fought in WWII.. he joined Our Proud country in a fight to keep us safe.. I am proud
of his accomplishments and will cont to feel proud and I will use what I know to help others.

I certainly dont feel sad or disdain or angry or nothing at all.. if he didnt go , like so many others
and fight, things would be much different < it could have changed history> but he did and I am
glad, and I am proud he wore his uniform to save others.. makes me feel good.

you Mister just have a bug up your butt.. lol

let me ask you, do you have any family in the past that might have fought for whatever reasons
they believed in ?

And do you think highly of them for putting themselfs in such a dangerous position?

Why does it bother you so much that others want to be proud to begin with?

have you ever accomplished anything in your life you can feel good about?

do you ever hear good things from someone when you accomplish a goal?

no this isnt Dr Phil.. but if you answered no to the last Question.. then I can see what is wrong
if you answered yes.. then you should stop being conceited. :)

everyone deserves to be given credit and if someone they are close to feels proud of this, so be it.

And the only difference to the two words is ONESELF.. but the guy who invented it a LONGGGGGGGGGG time ago, forgot that others can be proud too PLURAL = more then one as

we are PROUD TO BE AMERICANS and WE <~PLURAL as a nation should be proud of our constitution
and what OUR forfathers accomplished ... this speech is told over and over to us.. are
you going to challenge the president of the United states and his crew should i say for using
these same words every time?

I just think you WONDER to much :)

admiration:

a feeling of wonder, pleasure, or approval.
2. the act of looking on or contemplating with pleasure: admiration of fine paintings.
3. an object of wonder, pleasure, or approval: The dancer was the admiration of everyone.
4. Archaic . wonder; astonishment.
Hebrew Dictionary

Proud:feeling pleasure or satisfaction over something regarded as highly honorable

it's like you read one thing and then responded to something completely different.
Being proud of something is not the same as "admiring" or "appreciating" others or what they accomplished. Just because it makes no sense to do one does not preclude the others. If that makes sense to you then I'll consider that your apology.

I think the two are very close in meaning..

you can admire others the same as you can be proud of others
the two meanings are pretty much the same

you can admire a painting you son did or you can be proud of a painting your son did.

I know where you going with this, you think its more arrogant meaning, people acting conceited
but theres other meanings so you cant place one on the individual if you dont know how he
is presenting it..

anyways,, dont get your pride up babe.. cause Im not going to say it again when i said it once

:) lol

problem is processed foods.

yep..

if it can stay in a box longer then a year, imagine how long it stays in our bodies?

whats the date of expiration?? hmmmmmmmm july 25th 2525 if man is still alive.. lol

hey, I wonder if that is a lottery number?? I think I am going to play it tonight..

I try my hardest to stick to 1500 calories diet,

sometimes thats worse then just eating more.. because you body is needing more depending
on how active you are , if you are more active your not taking in enough cals to substanciate
it so your body is in hiber mode and its storing fat for later.

I'm simply sick of this sh*t, because it ruins PF and it gives Poland a bad reputation.

that we both agree on.

but your first quote was that poles are living in the past, and it was boring.

now your changin it to your sick of it..

I am not sure where your at with Polish history at this point you have said three different things
in the same few posts..

you said you liked it, your sick of it and you think its boring

errrr.. ok.

match what someone Who is polish wanting to speak English , its used to help pronounce it.

so if thats how its spelled in Polish.. thank you

Patrycja, I actually enjoy discussions about history. But not constantly, and certainly not in the way it is discussed by the "Poland, Poland über alles" crowd here.

QUOTE THE OTHER-

This is a forum , not your house.. I am sure your circle of friends discuss alot of different
things.

What topics would you like to see in a Polish forum? I think they cover an abundance of
topics, you choose to respond to the one that deals with why polish are proud. then you
say your tired of it.. but you dont have to come into this thread, there are many other
threads dealing with current affairs..

not saying your a bad person, but your putting yourself in this conversation.. none of us
asked you ( HEY THE OTHER WHAT DO YOU THINK??)

everyones Opinion is valuable.. but if you say, well I am tired of it all, thats not an Opinion
thats just plain whining.

I am sure we would all join you in another thread of interest if you want us too :)

Yes, they do. But they don't talk about it all the time.

Quote the other-

and how do you know they dont talk about it all the time? you know that many people?

your on a polish forum..dont you think your expectations are a little high to think people
wont talk about it here?

Life / Babcia or Busha - any social class difference? [359]

My mother did as well. and she also taught my daughter ( oldest) how to say in polish
in the name of the father and son and holy ghost amen.. which was very very beautiful to me
because my daughter and my mother were very close and when she died , she remembered that
to this day.

I certainly wish I could have spent the time with my grandmothers , but it wasnt meant to be
for me.

Life / Why Polish people should be proud of being Polish? [370]

It has long been a curiosity of mine that people take pride in things that they neither accomplished nor affected...

yeah we know.. keep trying to figure it out.. meantime

People who appreciate things will cont to evolve and learn from the accomplishments and the mistakes
of the past... good luck to you and your trying to figure it out.. by the way,, do you own a phone
or are you not happy someone from the past had enough brains to actually invent it.

oh yeah, how about the computer you sit on that you didnt make.. but someone from the recent
past did.. and hes a millionare and by golly hes loving his past and I am sure he learned from
the guys who failed before him.

sorry, that was carried away.

we have no choice but to look to the past before we can move towards a future.

Some suggestions for the adventurous:

Quote Polonius3-

seen various versions of it..

what I would like to know is what is the very first original recipe, without the cans :)

I am sure this took much longer :)

to get to today.

and pretty much all countries and people have a past.

can you tell us about yours? or were you just born?

Love / Polish women USED TO BE much more attractive: [162]

Well My daughter lives on carbs.. she cannot process long chain fatty acids
we did buy however medium chain triglycerides to boost her energy , she says it helps

But I dont think its about just women getting fat, its about health in general and what
the food is doing to people.. genetically we are all pre-disposed to something.

There is so much preservatives in food, how can that even be good for Anyone?

lol did I kill this thread with truth?

awwwwwwwwwwww

sorry guys.. bottom line is, its not all to blame on food. it can be genetics and it doesnt
mean they will get bigger..

my daughter has to eat the carbs, she is just fine, each individual is different , its funny though
to see how men can be this way.. I made sure i educated my daughter on this.. that you will
run into some men who think that your supposed to look a certain way, but because of her
genetic disorder.. if she were to Stop eating she could die!!

so I think all of you really need to just calm yourself down and realize that unless your out to
help people, you need to really STHU and stop making it out to be a man preference rather
then health issues, if you care enough about people you will stop making snide comments
and just help them. if they dont want help at that moment, then say , well, when you need my
help I will be there..

How about starting a thread with some healthy suggestions on it instead of complaining..
what do you do for your meals.. do you eat out, do you dine in do you use certain spices?

do you eat more veggies, what kinds of soups are more healthy? what kinds of cakes can
the ladies eat without feeling guilty?

what do you find more beneficial for meal planning?

SHYZT people.. all kinds of ways to just say lets eat better and lets all be more healthy
together?? EHHH EHHHH

and it can happen in Poland and the US and THE UK.

it is about choice.. I will agree.. there are a Number of fast food places now going healthy
with oatmeal and fruit..

french fries are not bad for you if you cut them yourself and bake them.. how can that be bad?
if you soak them in Oil.. depending on which kind of oil.. <~some oils are good for you
because they are the essential fatty acids needed to break down into energy

there are ways to help.. it can be changed.. I think that the worry is valid.. but how its
presented sucks.. thats one thing I noticed about the European mentality, you dont beat
around the bush , and say things without giving any thought to how to say it.. maybe its
just a certain few who are like this, but my observations keep telling me this is how it is.

UK, Ireland / Why Poles will never belong in England [283]

Poland is rubbish because Poles live there. They can't escape themselves by coming to England, they will only live as an alien underclass, adulterate our culture and adulterate our blood.

someone has a bug up their arse.. go take a poop

I think your jealous of People that work much harder then you.. I dont see why your so angry
about something that was not exclusive to Polish. Matter of fact was it not your govt that
opened its doors?? do you have people that are from India? Pakistan?Nigeria?China?or any other
country?

its easy to blame one country.. when it was yours that joined the union.

no. they want to enjoy the opportunities offered by a new modern way of thinking. they share equal rights, which allows them to travel, make their fortune, return home an retain their nationality,

I agree Wroclaw.. and this isnt something new.. Polish have always went to other countries and
returned home. some stayed, but that is their choice.

USA, Canada / Why are Polish restaurants not successful in the USA? [698]

Polish restaurants are relatively unknown. Why is this?

We only have one in our town,, and its well known.

They even have banquets for weddings, funerals and any other occasion you can think of.

But I have heard ( never been) of few others in and around my area and I plan to go try
them out just havent really had time to.

USA, Canada / Moving from United Kingdom to USA. Is it worth it? [136]

The usa is the s h i t stain of the earth. Enjoy your economy :D may your country fall so hard that it never rises again.

so you would wish hardship on people.. well says alot for you , I hope that a large quanity
of cloth eating beetles invade your underwear drawer and devour your fruit of the looms!!

and that you have nothing left to eat but toe cheese.. add that to your soup bud!

I think you've taken things a little off topic.

Food / Is Polish food still more natural than in the West? [142]

you know, I dont know why some of you get all upset at del,, some of what he says is true
but I dont think its Polish Americans trying to be like anyone, its more of the corporate side of it
trying to play the fake side of Culture.

for instance.. I went to a store ( wont mention) but I bought the golubki <~sorry I cant use the
diacritics ( not set up) but.. moving on with what I was saying.

I bought this ( what was supposed to be) golubki and it was the worst tasting mock food I ever
had.. I was disgusted and thought.. ok no wonder its laughed at.

if you make something homemade.. of course we are used to our own cooking and its delicious
but you sometimes want that extra moment and want to hurry and get dinner fixed and low and
behold.. food that shouldnt be even called edible..

it was a lesson well learned.. i wont sacrafice money and time again just to serve something that
was not even close to the same food we cook.

I will admit , one thing about making them is that they require time and patience and todays
food is like rubber, you could throw it at a wall and it will bounce back at you and it should
always be fresh or your setting up for disaster.

Love / Sigh... Polish girls have such pretty eyes. [51]

blue eyes have a magnetic quality to them - if had blue eyes I would fall in love with myself ;)

you can always buy contacts :) lol

I have ocean blue eyes :) Radiance is key :) Let your soul shine through them :) You can communicate so much through your eyes alone :)

Dear Seanus..

I am a married American ( polish decent) who wants to have ice blue eyes.. but I have hazel
eyes so they turn colors when the environment changes..

for instance.. if I am outside.. they can appear blue.. but green as well.. depending on the color
around ..

but on days that are gloomy they are gray, or when it gets darker out they turn brown but they
also turn brown when my husband forgets to do something.. :) or can appear red
if he makes me angry.. but thats only a short time.. I am usually over it.

I just wondered if they will stay this way once i get older.. I am so afraid my eyes will become
sad if I dont look the same to the person i love.. do you think? does it really matter if they do
or they dont as long as we decided to live together for the rest of our lives?

Hazel ;)
