then reading some of the stuff on here, I know its only a thread, but my thoughts
are, holy crap, you really go around calling people names in public? or do you
really treat people so badly just because of their nationality?

so it leads me to believe, and I hope I am right, less I read the news paper or
something to find your names posted in it that you dont do this type of behavior
and I hope I never see you names posted in the local news or on cnn that some
man pulled a chair from a russian woman and called her a slut because she was
russian?

Maxx that wasnt just directed at you either. in general, people can say, yes
I am a jerk towards women and I dont respect them at all, so I walk around making
every effort to disrespect them by calling them names in public, tripping them and
making every effort to make myself look like a jerk in public!

does anyone realize the impression people get when they post stuff?

if you say, I dont respect somone, my impression is your a superficial jerk with no

I dont believe half the crap posted on these threads, because its bullcrap
I see people posting they dont respect, but in a natural setting, like in
a resturant, or just out in public, I dont see horse Sh*t like that. and so this
leads me to believe that its all dumb conversation to make people look bad.

Nope Koach, but there is alot of holy cross cemeteries , mines in Michigan.
if you also need to get records from the cemetery, you can write to them
the only prob with them is, sometimes they wont search without a date of death
which is the reason your searching, so I sum it up to lazy and excuses.

if you need some help locating, I can try, maybe we can find some dates for you
to get you going on the mailing etc :) Let me know.

first of all, without proper knowledge I cant help you.

when did your family immigrate?

if it was early on, I can direct you to the ellis island site. they have up to 1924.
if it was late I can look into my ancestry and see if there is anyone by that name
and the location Which I need that too, what state :)

as for records. I will try to find a link to the town name, unless it was later
on. genealogy is hard, you have to have little more then just the name because
the name could be spread around the world :)

so info I need is.

location of where they grew up
(make sure they always stayed there too :)

Time frame of immigration. I will check some stuff out and see if I can lead you
in right direction :)

some times local librarys have genealogy like Obits and old news articles.
thats another direction you can also try for now till I get a location of this family
in the states. :)

Many Americans want to find out more about their familys history. Polish
History (documents) etc can be very frustrating for the Majority because so
many do not speak/read Polish.

If anyone is willing to google some Polish sites that also offer English to those who
want research their ancestors that would be a Excellent guide to helping those
who have trouble locating documents in Poland or even surnames.

Add your links to the sticky posts so that they are easily found for those
researching :)

some baptismals for ya :)

I believe Tobiczyk is also related ( way up there) to my mothers side.

I do agree with this, and I think everyone is capable of rudeness, just dont
wake up on the wrong side of the bed thats all!! :)

MY dad could be rude, but it wasnt cause of him being Polish. he just didnt have
patience!! thats why people are rude, because they want it now, pronto!!
or they cant tolerate waiting, or get angry when something is out of place.

bubba, people in America come from all over the world.

why wouldnt chicago have same recipe as most of the time these are family owned
business and family secrets passed down to family , no matter what town they

Awsome, I thought most Polish families kept their family history alive.

Here, its very hard, still alot of people ask me what I did to get to records.

you have to be like a sherlock holms and follow the clues. lol

cause I have heard she for long time, so we cant change it because if we do
we would have to change historical writings which claim poland as a she so if
she becomes a he, it would upset the universe and everyone will not know
