Life / The Pole is happy when someone else cries... [75]

It's a known fact: the Pole is happy when his neighbor or even a friend has bad luck. Why is that?

that is normal for everyone.if your friend who lets say was a bin man and who you used to drink cheap cider with won 5mln£ .would be cheering with him?next week you see him drive a new lamborgini and pulling another supermodel and you are still in the same shit-40 hours a week job,the same ugly wife and the same ugly vauxhall astra would you be cheering with him?i doubt it.then suddenly he loses everything because of lets say tax people he fcuked up with. how would you think?would you feel sory for him?i think you would go and buy another cider, kick a wife and shagg a cat-oh sorry the other way round:)to celebrate it

it is called envy and it is inside of everyone of us

Food / Stuffed eggs (Polish-style recipe) [17]

i have eaten this recently and wonder whether is well known cos i have never heard of it before.i think it is very tasty and easy to prepare

ingrediends:

salad cream or mayonnese mixed with mustard(not the english one,it is too strong!)

boil eggs for 10minutes, cool down ,strip off(i am not sure whether it is the wright word or not:) ) cut in two and take yolk out.

dice onion and mushrooms and fry them for 10 -15 mins till they are soft add black pepper and salt.
mix it with yolk and stuff egss with it.
pour salad cream/mayonese over it.you may also add some spring onions and red chilli on the top-it's ready

Food / What is your favorite Polish Vodka? [653]

spirytus is very good if you mix it half/half with water(boiled!) and add lemon juice and some honey....mmmmm..lovely stuff. i think this guys in this pictures drunk something else, something very cheap(spirytus is very expensive!!!)probably ...wisniowka(20% one) or cavalier(strong wine mixed with spirits) or just a few bottles of famous Polish wine" czar tesciowej":)

Food / What is your favorite Polish Vodka? [653]

Rafik- did they lower the alkohol content of Krupnik all over PL? When I was in south Pl it was changed to 38% but when in Poznan it was 40%. Here in the US it's 40% too. Do you know if it's been changed for good? I'm not sure if you drink it...just thought i'd ask.

yes i did drink it but a long time ago and i am sure that the alcohol content was 40%.i don't know what it is now:( but if they changed that i won't touch that stuff again.

krupnik is a bit too sweet and heavy for me.if you drink too much it will give yuo a huge headache next morning. have you tried GORZKA ZOLADKOWA yet?it has a bit herbal taste but i think is just briliant:)

I know that there is nothing with a steaming hot cup of tea - but it's not quite the same!

add GORZKA ZOLADKOWA VODKA into your tea.it goes down the pipe:) very well and warms up your stomach

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

taking jobs away from uk citizens

this will give you a kick in your bum to get more qualifications

they then brought in Polish workers to replace them on half their wages!!!!!!!!

who's fault is it the comany's or the polish workers?

this is disgusting

this is your opinion a little bit of competition never hurts

return to their homeland rich while the uk citizen stays poor

why don't you save your money? you earn twice as much as the polish workers

opposite my house there are 12 polish people living in a 2 bedroom flat!!!!

hehehe, have you checked that?maybe they have some friends who visit them regularly.4 people in 2 bedroom flat is the most common thing, they would have slept on each other otherwise.

they all have brand new cars parked outside their so called living accomadation..

nobody stops you from taking someone to your house .you can share your bills and then you with 2times more money and shared bills will afford buying a new flashy car

and they dont even need a licence to drive

of course we do!!!if they haven't got a licence call the police immidietly!
you r repeat things without checking.speak to this people do a little research and then come back and tell us about it

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

but you will be a foreigner in canada.maybe they don't want you there?i know a polish decorator and he is brilliant.he was hired by the cheef of the local police even though he had no work permit 3 years ago and he wasn't that cheap, belive me

And you can claim child benefit for children still living in Poland!! Bye bye Blair

if your children live in france but you work in the uk are you not entitled to child benefit?the idea of EU is that if someone lives in England he or she is being treated equally.the problem is that we can not claim ANY benefits(apart from this one) before we have worked for 2 years in the UK without a break no longer than 1 month.this is why we pumped so much money into your system without taking anything.that's why your country's economy is so good now

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

If you were in the UK for 5 years Rafik i had you had the right documents, seeing that you were not an E.U member in 2001.. Half the Polish builders i have met are still working for cash and not registered..

no i was here without any papers but still my paki employer deducted tax and NI from my wages and i used to get 2.5 per hour.is it not unfair competition?they paid 2.5£/hour but the english employers had to pay 4.85/hour.it is still going on but there is unwritten law that the home office official don't check for illigal immigrants in ANY british restaurants.that's why indian/turkish ect restaurants win the competition with english restaurants

Half the Polish builders i have met are still working for cash and not registered..

as a british law obiding citizen you should have reported it straight away.did you do it?

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

....it will be worse when the romainions get here...was the worse thing we did going into europe..we offer handouts and the rest don't....
As i said before just look how they are living 12 in one house?????

you are contradicting yourself in every sentence.i was trying to tell you that you direct your anger into the wrong direction but it doesn't work and you just keep repeating yourself of what you have heard from others.ok,that's your right to have your opinion but do i care?no i don't give it a shit.have a nice day looking at the house opposite with 12 people living in 2 bed flat and 12 shiny cars parked in 2 parking spaces in front of the house

Law / Hiring a Polish Worker - Pros and Cons [107]

i just wonder what did you think of before writing in this forum?this is a polish forum and you are lashing out at the poles in the uk.we all know that some of this people are drunks and chavs but you prefer to generalize things even though there weren't any problems with majority of polish guys(unlike the pakis).a lot of this people have degrees and are very inteligent.is it what you are afraid of?did you come to this forum to seek some advice or just to piss a few people off?have your opinion, that's your right but i DO NOT care about it.you would be better of joining the bnp party as then you'd have a lot of friends to speak to.

may peace be with you

Iwona a totally agree it is a goverment issue. And i do not blame Polish people in the slightest.

you should be given a medal of honour for this.i just wonder were chairs and sofas in pink in this pub?

Rafik you go back to your girlfriend/sister/mum/nan....

obviously calling someone an idiot is a good example of civilised conversation .some words are a bit sharp i know but this is the only answer to the people who are so thick, that only something like this may work.do you know how long would that take to reach such a small thing like your should-be -brain-in here using normal means?

Food / What is your favorite Polish Vodka? [653]

Bump any takers?

when im was in a primary school my friends nicked a bottle of wisniowka from their parents and drunk it.i didn't drink cos i was to young(they were older than me) but they gave me cherries from the bottle.i ate them and instantly felt sick.that was a very baaad experience and that's why i hate everything that smells cherries and alcohol.anyway i think that most of the poles don't like flavoured vodka drinks(at least those i know:) )

Life / Why are Poles always so miserable? Why do they never smile? [512]

Poles can't accept criticism. (In places like Sweden & Britain - "mature countries" - people accept criticism and think what they can improve about themselves or the state.

soooo many times i noticed that brits push a blame on someone else(usually someone weak and defenceless).why?because they don't want to admit that they've done something wrong>

Mature countries-what does it mean?the countries which have gone through everything like murders, corruption, racism ect and not have a lot of experience? you shouldn't criticise us on this matter as you are not any better

OK, I'll just rephrase my initial question slightly.
It's not just the lack of smiling in Poland, it's the whole Polish psyche that's F+cked up.

i would say exactly the same about quite a few brits i saw and belive me a lot of you folks only smile when drunk(usually from thursday to tuesday).

Very few people in Poland seem to be happy with their lives.

so you are.most of the brits i know are unhappy about their lives.

One symptom is that they're all escaping to GB and Ireland - 1 million and still counting. (Last person out please switch off the lights!) And don't tell me it's just for the money.... A lot of emigrants see no perspectives for themselves in Polska. They see the country as a dead end

you are wrong again.this is the minority of people who think that way.most of us want to come back to poland after a few years.

btw i bet that a few million brits emigrated(a few millions and still counting)to australia, spain, canada ect because they see no perspectives in england

To my mind you can still be poor but happy. Poles are both poor and unhappy.
Where is all the 'joie de vivre' in this country?
Surely it's not just a question of cold climate. The Swedes have a far worse climate, as do the Finns, but in general they're really sociable and open and happy.

i don,t know who you hang around with but a lot of the brits are also poor and unhappy.a lot of them can't even smile cos of the state of their teeth.

i just want to tell you that you see what you want to see.that's all.

think a lot of them must have died for some reason.

a lot of them die on the way to and from africa.storks are killed in libia for example but the main danger for this beautiful birds is using pesticides in poor african countries includind DDT-a very dangerous for environment pesticide widely used and later withdrawed in 1960's.
