News / Polish President vetoes PO's dingbat gender law [173]

It is most obvious that in such a most conservative society such as Poland, such a project cannot be accepted so why in the world do MP's waste time and also taxpayers' money to discuss things that at least 99.99% of the population don't care about? It beats me. Can't politicians be concerned about issues concerning the huge majority of the population?

Not only they are irresponsible and also they are stupid since Duda's veto on such bills will help him and PiS.

PO are even dumber that what I had thought. I don't like PiS either but PO and their allies are getting dumber and dumber and give the idea that they are getting desperate as Oct. 25 gets near.

I can't stand PiS but now to me PO have become a mere joke...

Next week, what are they going to discuss (at taxpayer's expenses)? Cats' haircuts? The color of the snow?

PS: it's just like with their stupid (and very expensive ;)) referendum, couldn't they have known that people would not vote? It beats me to realize how stupid they are.

of course, Poland will never leave the EU as Poland needs EU money and also to export Polish unemployed. Poland cannot make it with EU and therefore Poland will always be a member thereof.

Easy to understand

@Nothanks: if you knew who the idiot is, you would not take her seriously but obviously you don't know about her ;). Also, the "big deal" lasted no more than 1 day in France and people have moved to other things. Believe me, I know ...

News / Polish President vetoes PO's dingbat gender law [173]

@Polsyr: it could well be but purely childish since won't matter to political scene as at least 99.99% of Poles would be against that "law". Duda of course won't be hurt to veto such "laws". People are more interested in things related to their very daily life.

I believe that if PO and consorts want to hurt Duda and PiS, they'd better find something that most Poles can be concerned about.

Duda's veto on such issues won't favor PO and allies.

@Nothanks: obviously you don't know anything re France and re Moreno who is considered no more than a mere joke in France and no party wants to associate with her. As said, don't copy-paste re subjects you don't know of. I bet you had not read/heard Moreno name before yesterday ;).

Furthermore, there is only ONE human race.

News / Polish President vetoes PO's dingbat gender law [173]

Although I am (always have been and always will be) 100% in favor of equality to all in any country, is such a law a priority in Poland? Doesn't Poland and don't Poles have other priorities? I seriously doubt that it is the main concern among Poles. I am sure that 99.98% of Poles don't know anything about it.

I know how politicians "function" but when are they going to really feel concerned about people's main concern? People want more and better paid jobs (most Polish youth mean to move West), job security, good health system, good education, good transportation, safety on the streets... What about the socalled "garbage contracts" concerning a few million workers? What about close to starvation old age pensions? What about long waiting lists at hospitals? What about poverty? Obviously those nicely fed tanned politicians don't care.

As a result, fewer than 50% of Poles bother voting (I don't blame them)...

@Delph: at the very least, 99.99% of Poles don't favor such measures, so NO issue whatsoever on the political scene.

@Nothanks: 1. What's the relationship with Poland???? 2. Obviously you don't know anything re Moreno otherwise you would know that everybody takes her for a hysterical and vulgar idiot in France, where she is called "la marchande de poissons". Even FN refuses her as she would embarrass them.

Anyone knowledgeable would know that there is only one human race, except of course that idiot Moreno and consorts.

PS: Nothanks, don't talk about what you don't know! ;)

Real Estate / Renting a flat in Warsaw for 9 months (no knowledge of Polish language) and prices [6]

Hi! A decent studio right in the center is not far from 2,500 ZL (I used to own one for which I charged 2,500 ZL (high standard) and it was several years ago). If you see ads for 1,000 and alike, don't bother (rundown place, rundown building in lousy neighborhood full of alcoholics and other scum). Most landlords/real estate agents of course only speak Polish (why should they speak other languages?) but there are some real estate companies speaking English, French, German, Russian and whatever other languages since dealing (mostly) with expats. In order to have a list of serious agencies, contact your embassy and they'll give you serious contacts. Of course, in Poland like anywhere else don't say it's only for a short period of time.

UK, Ireland / My bad experiences with Polish neighbours in UK (not meant to offend) [173]

@Ryouga: good morning! good if you have warned some authorities! At least they know... The problem too is that with all those budget cuts they do all the time, authorities have to do more and more and cope with less and less money so they just do the most urgent. Police who are also overworked do not react unless a murder. Budget cuts always hurt the poor and the weak. If I were you, I would contact local politicians (does not matter what party but choose someone who would react) and even local medias (I am sure there is a radio station or a newspaper that could be interested in your case). Do you know if they pay their rent? Probably they don't ;).

It is really crazy that some scum ruin neighborhood and so far nothing has been done against them all the more as they commit a lot of illegal things. These scum are Polish and the situation is in England but of course, they could have been anything else and it could have taken place anywhere.

If I were in your area, trust me I would react in your favor. I cannot stand injustice and refuse it. It makes me so mad when I read something like that.

I wish you luck and keep us posted! :)

@Iron: in order to move out, need to have money. Ryouga lives in council flat and receives disability pension (what I understand) so he cannot just leave. I am sure councils have very long waiting lists for their flats and of course he cannot afford to take a flat in the "private sector". Of course, it would be best to get the h..l out of that rathole place but Ryouga cannot. Honestly, should the scum neighbors not be kicked out and be forbidden to receive any council flat? The police are after them because they do illegal things and the scum are let to continue and to bother neighbors. It beats me but unfortunately it happens often..

PS: my goodness! Some 40 empty bottles of wodka for one weekend!!!! They deserve a gold medal.

@Ryouga: how come you let this situation going on and on and on? Several people including myself have given you advice as to what to do? Why aren't you doing anything? You seem intelligent so I don't understand. You don't live in the Amazone forest so there are authorities to turn to where you are. If as you said, these people are also doing illegal things, trust me, authorities shall react...

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

@Marsu: Germany, UK, France and Sweden have also ready taken more than 50% of all refugees. Spain is very high too and not to mention poor Greece and Italy! Over the past years, Western European countries have already taken a lot of Syrian and other refugees. What Poland has done and is ready to do is very very little in comparison with Western European countries.

I have just heard that NOW Brussels say no compulsory quotas so you can bet, Poland shall only take a couple of dozens (or even 0 if PiS come to power on 25.10).

In EU decides to help, all 28 countries should be involved. EU is no supermarket.

Poland is not stupid and will never leave the EU. Poland is the no.1 fund recipients and badly needs the euros... I read that by 2020, Poland and Hungary will receive an additional ... 100 billions euros. Do Poles realize that said funds are paid by mostly German, French and British (as per %) taxpayers. Among said taxpayers, there also also ... muslims, jews, homosexuals ;).

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

@Jon: of course, they'll never leave. If you look around, everything is financed by the EU. I was at the hospital in August and thanks to EU, they could install water dispensers and fans in most parts of the hospital.

In my opinion, when we depend so heavily on others, we go by their rules. Personally when someone does me a favor, I respect said person and don't do/say anything against them... Pure decency!

@Iron: what are the Poles I should mingle with? The nuts who destroy half of Warsaw every year on No. 11?

@Jeden: when someone joins a club, they have to respect the club's rules. Suppose for instance you join a football club, do you think you'll be able to play any way you want?

Nobody has forced Poland to enter the EU ....

@Iron: at least 90% of the people I mingle with are ...PO so I doubt they are "communists" and they are all in favor of EU

Yes, I am "obsessed" by money because without it, Poland would be at best at Albania's level and I can assure you that taxpayers in the Western European countries are more than fed up to pay for this.

PS: If money is not that important to Poland, why do you accept it? ;)

News / Should Poland exit the EU immediately? [377]

@Jon: Poland has received and is still receiving so much money from the EU that it is normal that Poland shows solidarity in the current crisis. Poland has been also involved in wars.

Personally I don't believe the EU are doing the right thing in this crisis (like in all the rest, anyway) but IF the EU decide on something, like now taking in refugees, ALL 28 countries should be concerned. Germany has for sure made a mistake but Germany shall be the no.1 country in terms of numbers, the 2nd shall be France and the 3rd shall be Spain (the 3 countries shall take in over 50% of all migrants). Considering that a lot of countries shall make efforts (what about Italy and poor Greece getting all the mess?!), I don't see why countries such as Poland and a few others shall do nothing. I heard this pm that countries not accepting refugees shall have to pay to those accepting refugees and I think it is normal.

Nobody is forced to join the EU so when we are in the EU we have to play the rules. If Poland, Hungary, Rumania, Croatia and the like don't want to comply with EU's rules, then they get the hell out.

@Jon: of course, most Poles are in favor of EU. They are not stupid; they don't want to kill the golden hen On the other side, check in any Western European country and you'll find out that most people want to get out of EU...

Trust me, money talks and when Junker/Merkel are going to offer Poland (and consorts) a few coins to accept migrants, we"ll see plenty of Syrians, Afghans, Ethiopians, etc etc ... in Poland.

I bet! ;)

Brilliant! Poland shall of course never leave the EU because the EU's soup tastes too good ;)

PS: when you leave, don't forget to reimburse Western taxpayers ;)

@Jeden: Poland is no.1 EU funds recipient and therefore Poland has money. The EU (= taxpayers from Western Europe) has given and gives so much money to Poland that it would be the least decency that Poland helps with refugees. For sure, Germany has made a huge mistake but the EU counts 28 countries and all 28 EU countries shall help and pay for refugees.

Law / Is it illegal in Poland / Schengen zone to transport refugees inside? [22]

I suppose that bringing into Poland (or elsewhere) some of these migrants withouth the local government's ok may be illegal.

If you want to help refugees, wait until they are in Poland (in a few weeks if not days and I can't wait to see Poles cohabiting with Muslims ;);))...

@Ryouga: PF members in GB and from there will know better than I. I have thought that maybe you should contact a local radio station or newspaper. I'm sure someone can be interested in your situation. You just tell them all you tell us, + that it affects your health as you cannot sleep because of their non stop noise and you are scarred for your safely since they threaten you....

I'm terribly sorry for you because it sounds awful...

@Ryouga: your situation is getting out of control and has to be sorted out asap. The other day, I was watching a program from some English tv channel. Said program is called "the nightmare neighbors next door" and I believe they could help you out. There were hard cases too ;). Just look up contacts and get in touch with them. Otherwise, maybe there is a local paper or radio station in your area which could get involved. As to authorities, unless when a murder, they don't react right away and local politicians are quick only at election times....

Good luck!
