surowce-naturalne.pl/swietokrzyskie-marmury-i-wapienie-maly-przewodnik-po-polskich-zabytkach-cz-i/

"W pierwszej połowie XVII wieku w Chęcinach pracowali kamieniarscy mistrzowie z całego świata: Włosi, Szkoci, Flamandczycy oraz Polacy i Żydzi."

Taka ciekawostka - ten marmur zygmuntówka został użyty do wykonania pierwszego/oryginalnego trzonu słynnej kolumny Zygmunta III Wazy wzniesionej w 1644 roku w Warszawie - stąd się wzięła jego nazwa - "zygmuntówka" :)

W świętokrzyskim wydobywane są głównie wapienie

I piaskowce :)

@Alien, jeśli chodzi o "Wietrznię" to tam wydobywano wapień.

Przeca jestem z Kielc :P

Jeśli ten temat Cię ciekawi to możesz poczytać w Wikipedii:

pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogrom_kielecki_(1918)

Jeśli dobrze pamiętam to procentowo więcej niż w Krakowie i Warszawie. 🤔

Żydzi w Kielcach byli właścicielami banków, fabryk, prawie połowy sklepów w mieście, mieli swoje szkoły, bibliotekę, była wydawana gazeta w jidysz - "Kielcer Zeitung", była duża synagoga i domy modlitw, oczywiście, itd. Trudno to sobie teraz wyobrazić...

Więcej niż w Kielcach (ponad 40%) ludności żydowskiej mieszkało np. w Białymstoku. Taka ciekawostka - w pogromie białostockim było z kolei tło rosyjsko-carsko-zaborowe:

Real Estate / 60% increase in rent (Warsaw, open-ended contract) - do I have to agree? [9]

@Michael1976, in case of an open-ended rental contract it's 3 months, unless your contract with the landlord says otherwise (it can be longer).

The rules concerning the increase in rent are regulated by law:

bankier.pl/wiadomosc/Podwyzka-czynszu-za-mieszkanie-Sprawdzamy-na-jakich-warunkach-wynajmujacy-moze-to-zrobic-8239584.html

For example, the landlord is allowed to increase the rent based on the inflation from the previous year (so from 2021 in your case).

UK, Ireland / Polish immigrants in the UK - victims or criminals?! [283]

@jon357, yeah, parents don't expect their kids to call them like that here - in Poland it would be viewed as messed up.

In the past kids would call their parents "pani matka" (madame mother) and "pan ojciec" (sir father), but even then it depended on the family, it seems. For example, Chopin referred to his mother and father as "Mama" and "Papa".

History / Poland rightwingers` bonds with PRL communist regime [191]

@KorkiTaczer, I don't recall Tusk calling "commies" and "traitors" anyone who would criticise or oppose PO.

And how do you know that Hoc was a "a KGB operative"?

There is no indication that he did something wrong during the Martial Law

Did Hoc do anything wrong?

So you think he can be compared to Hoc

I don't know, do you think Hoc can be compared to, for example, the founder of the best and most famous Polish Special Forces unit (GROM)? Do you know what general Petelicki was doing during communist times? He was spying for PRL on Solidarity people who were living abroad. And yet, after the end of communism the Solidarity elites accepted him, even that nutcase Macierewicz - when Macierewicz was the head of MSW in the 1990s he could boot Petelicki out, but he didn't do that. What's more, Petelicki said that at some point Macierewicz saved GROM.

How do you explain that?

@KorkiTaczer, but pawian doesn't mean that basic compulsory military service during PRL - Michał Jach was an awarded professional soldier for 25 years who left the army as a major only in 1994 :))) Better do some research before commenting ;)))

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

@gregy741, noone was banning Russian language and shelling cities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions before Putin sent their soldiers there and to Crimea either.

russian republics dont express desire to be independent.

I wrote "if they wanted it".

Besides, Chechnya expressed it's desire to be independent twice (two wars). What do you think about the fact that Russia didn't respect that desire and leveled Grozny to the ground just to keep Chechnya in Russia? Are you OK with that?

russia dont arm nazis and sent them to those places to burn, rape and loot.

That's exactly what Russia is doing to Ukraine - arming brainwashed, Nazi-like psychos and sending them to burn, rape and loot in Ukraine.

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

@Crnogorac3, Serbia doesn't exist. It is a Russian territory where the Serbian people are the majority. As Russia says, this is how Serbia will do.

RuSSist propagandists are furious with Wałęsa. They call him svoloch etc. And consider kidnapping him and bringing to RuSSia for trial.

RuSSian propagandists don't seem to realise that they're showing to the world what hypocritical mindf*ck they're suffering from lol They're condemning Wałęsa, calling for kidnapping and bringing him before court, offer 5 million euros for his head just for what he said. While Putin is actually really doing it to another country - Ukraine. They're outraged at Wałęsa just saying it, while their own president is doing it.

wtf

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

@gregy741, Wałęsa talked about dismembering Russia (making it a smaller state, and, hence, with smaller population) in case the political system/regime couldn't be changed. He was talking about all those "ethnic" republics in Russia getting independence. Surely, you wouldn't be against that, if they wanted it, considering how much you support the "independence" of DPR and LPR?

should Poland population be reduced to 4 million , for illegal war in Iraq

Unlike in Russia in Poland governments change. Tusk's party during campaign promised to pull out Polish troops out of Iraq and that was one of the reasons I voted for his party. So, unlike Russians, Poles are reformable and able to change their governments - so there's no need for "dismembering" of Poland, according to Wałęsa's logic.

If Walesa was right to reduce Russia to 50 million people, Beria was right to reduce Poland by 22,000 people.

Wałęsa wasn't calling for mass murder, you idiot.

News / Piotr Kraśko - road to perdition [9]

didn't pay taxes between 2012 and 2015 (...) but also faces trial for driving without a licence for at least last 6 years

Yeah, I am disappointed with him. He seemed like a nice, decent, warm guy. There was also news recently about Tomasz Lis being accused of mobbing, sexism and homophobia by his employees. He was showing a different face to the "outside world", of course. It's kind of scary - you don't know who people really are...

lately there have been a problem of trees toppled by high wind not being removed from the forest

As for trees - since PiS came to power there has been a problem with trees disappearing from forests into unknown destinations, while the prices of wood keep getting higher and higher in Poland.

yeah, like you have plenty examples

In case you haven't noticed PiS has been in power for 7 years already and they've become the new elites. And, unfortunately, they surpassed the previous government in all the crappy stuff possible - nepotism, greed, fishy shenanigans, arrogance, lies, hate, stupidity, hypocrisy, lack of professionalism, wasting public money, etc.

Sadly, our elites, whether those are politicians, journalists, TV presenters (Jarosław Jakimowicz from TVP, for example) celebrities (Beata Kozidrak's drunk driving, for example) or the Church, are the reflection of our society. So, there's nothing to be happy about or to gloat about. It's depressing.

statystyka.policja.pl/st/kodeks-karny/przestepstwa-przeciwko-13/63613,Publiczne-propagowanie-faszyzmu-nawolywanie-do-nienawisci-art-256.html

@Velund, you didn't answer mafketis' question.

So, at least current Estonia and majority of Latvia was in fact BOUGHT from Sweden by Russia after Northern War.

So? At some point Kaliningrad belonged to Poland, at another it was a feoff to Poland. Should we take it back? lol

Also, Soviet Russia accepted the independence of both Estonia and Latvia in 1920 and later the USSR also recognised their independence in 1991.

Good luck trying to get Alaska back. LMFAO

But the US PAID for Alaska, so, you know, maybe you'll get lucky enough and Russia won't reach for it with it's sticky fingers, haha :D

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

omg this is so stupid. its like saying ,where was logic to fight hitler

Poland didn't invade Germany to "save" Poles living there. Nazi Germany invaded Poland giving the same reasons that Putin gave for invading Ukraine. Poland was reacting to a German invasion, it was defending it's territory, just like Ukraine is.

And Ukraine isn't invading Russia.

Also, that's some really bad/stupid comparison with Hitler - if he wasn't defeated many more people would die, actually - not only Jews, but also Slavs. A completely different situation than with Zelensky and Ukraine. If Russia pulled out of Ukraine - the killing would stop. So, perhaps it's you who should ram your head against a wall (I doubt it will help though).

to stop what been happening in donbas for the past 8 years.

Russia started it in the first place!

Well, they weren't shelling it when russians weren't there ..on ukrainian territory.

Indeed.

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

its not russian feeling superior

My observation is that his feeling of superiority and having more rights than other countries is flowing out of pro-Putin Russians on this forum and out of those pro-Putin Russians I and other Poles discussed with over the years. Plus lack of moral values, empathy, respect for human life, etc. When you combine all of this you get what you can see happening in Ukraine...

then no one would die in mariupol.

Noone would die in Mariupol if Russia didn't attack it. Noone would die in Ukraine if Russia didn't invade it. This is a simple fact. This is the reality that you are in denial of. You don't save your people by killing them. Russia claims it invaded Ukraine to save Russian speaking people, but as result... many more Russian speaking people are dying daily. Where is logic in this?

hiding behind civilians and killed those who tried to escape.

Lies, lies, lies.

And countries have the right to defend themselves from an invasion, ffs. The blood of people of Mariupol is on Russia's hands.

*this feeling of superiority

@gregy741, I'm not writing any "pseudo intellectual dribble" or "idiotic rusophobia". I'm presenting facts to you.

I presented to you and others what Wałęsa and Morawiecki really said.

I also debunked your lie that Russian was banned in Ukraine or that Russia is "saving" Russians in Ukraine.

Which reminds me - gregy741, could you answer this question?:

And how did Russia "save" Mariupol by razing it to the ground and by killing it's people?

Are the lives of people in Mariupol somehow less valuable to Russia than of those living in Donetsk and Luhansk republics?

It's very real and rational, not irrational

Exactly.

that commit wars and atrocities out of idea of some exceptionalism, and assumption of being above the law and rules, and some sort of mission

You seem to forget how much death and persecution the Soviet Union and it's communism unleashed upon this planet. But, yes, there are some similarities in Russian and American outlook which is why the US is hated in some parts of the world. So don't be surprised that Russia is hated in some parts of the world too.

dress your nazi s.hit in silk-you not fooling anyone here

Are you talking to Morawiecki or to me? You do realise that it's a quote from Morawiecki, right? lol

Ukrain has done anything but enact normal national language promotion measures (as has happened in very many european countries at some time or other)

Yeah, and even though in Russia there are, in theory, other official languages in various republics, the reality is that the education is mainly taking place in Russian. A quote from Wikipedia:

"Every year the Russian Ministry of Education and Science publishes statistics on the languages used in schools. In 2014/2015 the absolute majority (13.1 million or 96%) of 13.7 million Russian students used Russian as a medium of education."

And in Karelia (a historical province of Finland) the only official language is Russian.

News / Lech Walesa urged to "reduce Russia" to 50 million people [366]

@gregy741, don't be an idiot, or don't pretend to be one. Noone said that "russian cultural world must be destroyed". Morawiecki said that "Russkij mir" ideology should be rooted out through de-Putinization of Russia. It's all in that first Polish article I linked to. Just read it.

A quote from that article (from Morawiecki):

"Putin's 'Russkij Mir' ideology is an analogue of the 20th century communism and Nazism. It's an ideology with which Russia is justifying imaginary rights and privileges for it's country. It's also the basis for the story of a 'special historic mission' of the Russian nation. In the name of this ideology Mariupol and tens of Ukrainian cities have been razed to the ground"

its like listening Hitler talking about jews.

You mean listening to that Russian guy on Russian state TV, surely? You know, that one who said that 2 mln Ukrainians should be killed?

carving donbas out of ukraine, is act of defense of russian people from vicious murders and criminals.

Lies, lies. Noone needed to be protected, defended in Crimea, etc. I'd like to remind you, again, that it all started with Crimea - Russia invaded Crimea in February 2014. Why? Was something bad happening to people in Crimea? No. But it's a strategic territory and that's why Putin wanted it.

where is this hypocrisy?

Because part of Ukraine is historical Polish lands. Of course, majority of Poles were deported from there by Soviets or were either massacred or fled UPA's ethnic cleansing. So, you could say that there's no reason for Poland to take those lands, since few Poles live there nowadays. But Russia is also invading lands where majority of people don't want their forced version of "Russkij mir". Russia tried to take Kyiv. Russian army is occupying, for example, Kherson, where many people were protesting against the Russian invasion and were waving Ukrainian flags. So why are they taking lands where they are not wanted? Who are they "saving" there?

And how did Russia "save" Mariupol by razing it to the ground and by killing it's people? Could you explain this to me, gregy741? The lives of people in Mariupol are somehow less important than of those living in Donetsk and Luhansk republics?

And Russian language wasn't banned in Ukraine. Stop lying, gregy741.

how was is?" russian world must be destroyed" ?

No, he didn't say that. He meant the "Russkij mir" ("Russian world") ideology:

"»Russkij Mir« is a cancer that should be rooted out". The prime minister about the criminal Putin's ideology:

polskieradio24.pl/5/1223/Artykul/2955486,%C2%BBRusskij-Mir%C2%AB-to-rak-trzeba-go-wykorzenic-Premier-o-zbrodniczej-ideologii-Rosji-Putina

About the concept of "Russkij mir" in Wikipedia:

pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russkij_mir_(ideologia)

Quotes by Morawiecki:

gov.pl/web/primeminister/prime-minister-mateusz-morawiecki-during-the-strategic-ark-conference-i-call-for-isolation-of-the-president-of-russia

"Criminals must be judged, and the Russian World ideology must be defeated and eliminated," assessed the Prime Minister.

world-today-news.com/polish-pm-wants-to-destroy-russian-world-kremlin-responds-with-lightning-speed/

"Russia's world is a cancer that poses a deadly threat to the whole of Europe. Therefore, it is not enough to support Ukraine in its military struggle with Russia. We must completely eradicate this monstrous new ideology," he said.

And just like in case of Wałęsa, Morawiecki's words were a reaction to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and to what happened in Bucha, Irpin, etc. It's because Russia justifies invading and dismembering other countries with this "Russkij mir" ("Russian world") ideology:

dgap.org/en/events/russkiy-mir-russian-world

poland dismembering ukraine would be awful thing to do.

LOL
You're such a stupid hypocrite, gregy741 :D
