I'm not talking about extremism but having some (ANY) vision and values worth fighting for. PSL was alwasy mostly 'flaki z olejem'. That's why it's possible PSL will get the president, whose role it is to be that kind of balance between political power but I don't think they will ever become a major player.

While I'm no fan of Kidawa-Blońska I think you are letting your emotions get in the way. For now clearly Bosak is the weakest and Biedroń may have problems. Kidawa-Błońska clearly has less going against her than those two. Different thing is what she will do with that potential during campaign.

The big plus for Duda is his daughter- clearly smart and ambitious. But I don't think she wants to/ can get too involved.

Yes but PSL was always too mild with no vision always the best coalition partner because they never really stood for anything.

Now I'm reading miners are planning a strike in Warsaw. Huge one apparently. They want 12% pay increase and want the government to stop companies from buying Russian coal AND to confiscate the one they already have...While quite interesting in itself I wonder what impact it will have on the campaign. As many commentators said- putting so much emphasis on Duda being PiS candidate will work against him during every scandal and argument involving PiS

I hope they won't overdo it. It can backfire.

It's a bit like that story with Duda's stalker- she posted again that they have an affair and called on the president to admit it. A lot of comments saying that it's the opposition stunt.... If that women won't shut up it may harm the other candidates (mostly Kidawa-Błońska I guess)

The party might be huge but their electorate isn't. Simple as that. You treat your guy like some holy grail of a candidate and he simply isn't. He is good but not to that extend.

As to Kidawa-Błońska. One, she has PO electorate but even outside her party her negative electorate will be fighting with Duda's one. And hos one is not small either.

What really shocked me is that when Kaczynski started talking about Duda during convention he started with Smolensk. It's so many years, he already serves as a president and yet his description starts with that?

To add to it some commentators are worried that choosing two people to run the campain is a mistake that may cost them dearly. Especially since both of them are MEP's and because of that not in Warsaw so much.

BTW- it seems PiS takes Lichocka scandal a bit more seriously than Iron. The rumour is she was supposed to be the campaign spokesperson but now they will hide her till election

The police said they took the action but the child alert is 12 hour thing that is supposed to quickly reach the biggest number of people- that's why they started it in the morning when people start the day.

Quite frankly I find it all a bit dodgy... I wouldn't be surprised if the mother really took the child first. I feel sorry for the kid, that is all. No matter what really happened he will be the victim.

BS. But even if true- there are mirrors. Although if we are talking ONLY about the tattoos at the small of the back (is that how it's called?) Then there is quite a large group that finds it attractive and as such I assume most girls that do it perceive it as adding to their attractiveness.

Nah. The gov is heavily subsidizing the mines. As I said- they just decided to spend a lot of money on coal magazine so the mines can keep working even though they have all this unsold material. They already have 300 tonnes of coal there!

Exactly. And yet it's the mining that struggles and other business keep working.
Of course if you are economically very much to the right you may believe that simply removing taxes would fix the problem. Doesn't change the fact that in the current system they are money pit and a burden.

Btw- in Russia they are taxed as well for sure yet they manage to get it much cheaper.

To me the mining as it is is useful only as a back up/emergency/ safety net kind of thing. Generally Poland should look how to nove away from it.

They did- they proposed to use it somewhere else instead and voted against giving TVP another bail out. What she did was AFTER the vote that her side won.
