While in communist primary school, I remember we exchanged addresses of car companies located in Western countries. A good address might bring you sth that your peers appreciated very much and respected you for possessing - namely, brochures about the produced cars.

I still have that sheet of paper with the addresses in my archives. Some of them were located in Japan!

What I still find amasing is the fact that a lot of companies DID send the brochures to the communist country although they sold close to nothing there.
However, they displayed amasing anticipation skills coz I am sure some of those youngsters who had studied the brochures so carefully in their childhood later on decided to choose cars made by the company.

I remember one brochure I had - advertising a car which hasn`t been produced for decades. French Simca 1100!!!!

What I find really inspiring is that it was an accidental passer-by who called the police after noticing that 3 men sitting in the car parked in the street were handling an item which resembled a hand gun.
