Polish health care is 50 years behind.
In 2019, I flew in on Thursday and was out on Sunday when I realized just that...

And we are eternally gratefully for that.

Just last year my mum was admitted to hospital just because her GP wanted her to be checked over.. She wasn't in a corridor, she had physio, doctors of different specialisations and many tests. She was aslo booked in for physio camp.
No bill, no wondering if the insurance covers this or that.

If they could get their acts together so easily, we'd not be in this mess.

True, but it's like with people. You can help to an extend but at some point they have to get a grip.

Give a donation from the aid budget and do it the next year without end or change.

And letting their citizens just go in droves will accomplish what?

they can always get warehouse jobs or maybe some online work)

Why should they?
While I'm all for reducing the gap just taking the wealth accomplishes nnothing.You need to invest in education and changing of lifestyles to make sure new generation have better prospects.

I would say patriotism.
patriotism is a manifestation of nationalism, not a separate phenomenon....

To me it's the extreme side of a spectrum. With no loyalty to your country on one end and nationalism on the other. Both bad.

We trashed the world, more and more is becoming hard to live in, and we in richer countries

While there is part of truth in it there is also responsibility on those places side.

They have every right to be monoculture if it doesn't include genocide.

and some degree of nationalism is required for a country to exist - no nationalism means no country

But it's the war and death camps that make the difference. The world wouldn't be stuck in horror if it wasn't for those.

I like my breakfast. I like big breakfast and big obiad and I can skip little or jot at all after
I can easily eat anything for breakfast (including bigos, fasolka po bretonsku etc.) I can't stand british sausage though and English breakfast doesn't appeal to me

The most unreliable car I had was an Opel

I have second Vauxhall (British Opel) and they aren't bad at all. Actually with my previous Astra a recovery man responded to my 'I should get rid of this car' by saying 'Yeah, but those are good cars, very hard to kill'
the Frog-Eye Sprite I had.

That is one cute car :)

Me neither. But that is what the discussion is about. And loudmouth or not he will be the president soon enough. If he wants to be treated seriously he should stop running his mouth.

Maybe you would have a point if the political elite starts punishing other opinions and threatening/jailing the opposition, if people start to flee the country

Yyy, we were talking about USA attacking a peaceful neighbour. Wouldn't that qualify?

Really? You must be in need of new glasses and hearing aids then.

I've heard minimum 3 times women saying (and that in reality and not some videos on the internet) they are having better/easier life after splitting up with their partners. And that even with taking 95% of childcare into account. That's how much a man brings to a relationship.
