I don't claim that there are no gold-diggers and prostitutes, or those who go after Western men, among Polish and Eastern European women and I don't disregard the fact that in the past some Polish women were treating Western men as a ticket to the West, that they were ending up as prostitutes in the West and that they were victims of human trafficking (and probably some still do and are). And I realise that this is where the stereotype about Polish women came from, as I already stated in this comment earlier in the thread:

"Endemic corruption" is when corruption "is the norm and not the exception". I wouldn't say that corruption is somehow "the norm" in Poland. According to Wikipedia corruption in Poland is below the world average. Is corruption in Poland worse than in the US or the West in general? Yes, according to Corruption Perceptions Index it is. But there are also plenty of other countries where corruption is worse than in Poland, so I don't understand why you're obsessing so much about corruption among Poles of all people.

Also, the fact that there's more corruption in Poland than in the US, for example, doesn't mean it's connected to sex. Of course, I'm sure it happens too, but I am not aware of any data proving that it's more prevalent in Poland than, for example, in the US. I'm sure you realise that such stuff happens in the US too (Hollywood, Harvey Weinstein scandal, etc.).

That single Anglophile friend of mine who moved to the UK lived with female roommates and her English was great. I agree it isn't smart to be completely on your own in a foreign country if you don't have experience with living abroad and don't know the language. Or at work. My best friend was sexually harassed by a son of her boss in the UK. She quit her job because of this. She wasn't single though - she moved for work to the UK with her Polish boyfriend. It didn't help her in any way that she wasn't single.

Why? My best female friend from high school moved to Paris (she came back to Poland years later though). One of my friends from college moved to the UK - an Anglophile female. Another single woman I knew from work also worked in the UK. Of course, this is not for everybody and it is more dangerous than for a single guy, but it isn't some kind of impossible feat for a single woman and it isn't any less "fun" than for men.

I'm guessing very few women enjoy things like that (if any). That's why prostitutes exist.

As for my comment - I wrote it based on a book written by a Polish investigative journalist who based his book on evidence gathered by the Polish police in the so called "Dubai scandal". Polish title of this book is "Dziewczyny z Dubaju".

Judging by what was written in that book the sex those women had with that "Arab prince" and his friends was normal, there was no pissing or shi*ting. Apparently those men were so handsome that some of those women would be ready to pay themselves for having sex with them lol

There was only one case of a guy shi*ting on one of them - a Polish guy in Poland.

Lyzko, what you're saying is basically that Polish women are prostitues. How can we possibly "acknowledge" the "possibility" that there might be "some credence" to that if we know it's not true? Are you sick in the head? There are prostitues in every country. In the US prostitution and sex trafficking is thriving even though prostitution is illegal in your country and prostitutes can get arrested, unlike in Poland. Imagine if it was legal in the US lol And apparently there's no shortage of so called "sugar babes" - young uni students selling themselves to older men for money for their uni tuition or health care and expensive gifts, etc. I read a blog of an American married man with kids who was using their services. He could pay for his kids' education and new furniture for his entire house for all the money he spent on them, as he himself admitted. One of his favourite "sugar babes" was, btw, a Jewish girl, a uni student from a "good family".

Under what "circumstances" women in Communist Europe were forced to exchange sexual favors in order to "save their own skins"? lol I don't know, maybe during the Stalinist period there were such cases, but later? It's hard to even tell what you're talking about. What do you mean by "save their own skins"? To save their lives? To not be sent to prison? In Poland it would have to be really rare, because I've never even heard about anything like that and I've never read a single article about it. Obviously, there were all kinds of shortages and life was poorer in communist states and totalitarian regime encouraged by it's nature corruption and bribery. But that can be said about any totalitarian and authoritarian regime. And, of course, if men were coming from rich West to a poor, communist country there would always be some women willing to exchange money or luxury items for sex, but that can be said about any poor or poorer country, not only about communist states. In some really poor countries people even sell their kids to peadophiles.

My impression is that people in general get more "promiscuous" when abroad - that goes both for men and women. And there are differences between Polish, Czech, Ukrainian and RuSSian women. For example, the attitudes towards sex are more liberal in the Czech Republic. Poland is more conservative in this respect (as it is a more conservative country in general).

@mafketis, it's not "splitting hairs". I actually think men are more attracted to novelty than women, because they're the ones who want to have sex with many different women. In case of women it's more about rarity. If a woman has a preference towards certain type of look in a man, then it won't "wear off" even if she moves to a country where such look is common (unlike in her own country). That's why I'm saying it has nothing to do with novelty.

They're attracted to diversity/rarity, not to "novelty" then. This is why blonde people with blue eyes are often considered the most "attractive" - because they're very rare. Not so much in Europe, obviously, but in the world in general - very much so. Only 2% of people in the world are natural blondes and only 8% to 10% of the global population has blue eyes.

Novelty is something that wears off. Rarity doesn't "wear off".

If you mean that they'll have sex with anything that's alive, then I guess you're right ;D But I'd say that men are also attracted to what's "exotic" to them. When I was in Italy my female friend, who's a blue-eyed blonde, was very popular among Italian males, even though she isn't really that pretty. @susa82, ticks can be found in parks too, but as long as you don't walk on the grass you should be OK. You could also wear light-coloured leggins and socks (so your legs would be covered - make sure there's no naked skin between the socks and leggins) if you want to walk on the grass during summer and late spring/early autumn. (light-coloured clothes - so you could see the ticks on your legs)

Btw, formic acid is apparently a good natural repellent against ticks. It's because ants are the natural enemy of ticks and this acid produced by their bodies scares ticks away. You can buy it in pharmacies in this form:
