I'm not that hot for Indian. I do like Chinese in UK. We had excellent,family run place 2 minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting UK. In Poland it's usually more Vietnamese.

As I said, in Berlin, try Yugoslavian. Great service, good food. Might be a but too conventional for you though.

I don't downplay personal achievements and improvement. But titles were inherited and as such useless in determining personal qualities.

We had our title for saving Prince' life.
1- someone else might have saved many lives but because they weren't high born nobody cares.
2- does a deed like that pass down on kids, grandkids etc? Even if we assume that such parent would manage to raise his kids in that spirit that is the end of it. Grandkids, great grandkids have nothing to do with it.

Quite common. There is also the tradition to book a mass for the anniversary too


It'sdue to the fact they stay there even of the weather is bad or you can't visit for a long time.
People do bring real flowers too. They will plant them straight on the grave, bring rhwm in pots or bring cut ones and put them in vases

I would wonder how a child can answer the question ( if it's an open one) if they don'tknow enough Polish to understand the question.

It all comes back to talk to the school, teachers etc. Might be an idea to find some other immigrantswith kids that may have some more info. Sadly I cannot help in any way.

Again, depends on teacher. One will prepare closed answer tests another will ask to ' describe the process of osmosis'.

They do make a much more comfortable journey as you do get more peace and quiet. I haven't used WARS in decades though

I'm just doing some travelling by train in Poland and omg is it comfortable! Admittedly I'm using the IC trains since they are more convenient and cheaper (!!!) than the regional ones but still.

One of them is even the older style refurbished small compartment one that may look a bit tacky but quiet and comfortable.
