re your point on people power vs the gov having more power, the whole point of a referendum is to give the goverment the legitimacy of the people to hold that power and make that decision. ie gay marriage in ireland.

See that's the thing, I take the term 'Polak' as a compliment, it's about transforming the language, the social construct of the word into something positive. Like what has happened with the term 'queer', that used to be a slur, now it's a respectable term. 'nig*a is that as well but only if used between blacks with exceptions. Same with 'Pom' it can be used as a term of affection by citizens of other commonwealth countries.

If the land of the bog-trotters was wiped out by a tsunami it would be a net positive for europe, trillions of tax revenue rightfully being paid by companies in the countries they operate it.

Hi Maggie, I think you will really like Poland, especially since you have Polish ancestry. Poland is safer and nearly as prosperous as Canada and way better than the great satan. There are many ways to learn Polish and the government would encourage you and expat groups who will be learning polish as well. As a gf of a hockey player I have a feeling people will be offering you work to support their hockey club.
Btw there is a user here PolAmKrakow who is heavily involved in the hockey 'industry' and I'm sure you will bump into him in real life.
Like Philly cheese steak sandwiches? How about the daily luxury of not being sorounded by meth and fentanyl junkie white trash?
