Life / 3 reasons why you hate Poland. [1049]

1. Some Poles will not work on a Sunday, not even mow the lawn. Because that's work.

some Poles won't work on a Sunday because in our culture it is considered a holy day, therefore one should not do any kind of work, including mowing the lawn.

ha ha! I mean it's not as beautiful as e.g. southern Europe weather but compared to Belgian deszczowej krainy it's great.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

I know it's silly but... I love PL weather!!!!
I just came back from Belgium where it rains 360 days/year and I just can't get enough of these sunny days - I was so happy to wake up this morning and see sun coming through my window, beautiful!!!!!!!

None of the above are exclusively Polish traits.

God bless you OsiedleRuda.
You are one of very few people on this forum that understand that...

after all you should be open to some critics, ore you shouldn't read it at all.

Critics are fine but not such rubbish like you've said about insurance in PL. Car insurance is mandatory in PL my dear. Also, you can get any kind of house insurance if you wish. If you don't know how to get it it's not Poland's fault but yours....

living abroad mostly of the time,

in your previous post you said you lived abroad all your live so make up your mind.

if you are in a car accident, ore having housebreaking, etc you dont have any insurance that pays ore covers for your costs ore loosings. if you are in a car accicent u usally deal with it btw the persons involved,

where did you get this rubbish from?
This was true maybe 20 years ago but not today.
And if you've never lived in PL how come you have so many reasons to hate it - you should avoid talking about things that you have no idea about, it is not credible.

You should change your name Kasia - go by Kate.....or is your Polish name the only thing that you like about PL and PL people?

Love / Polish Pet Names For Girls. [156]

Krzysztof:
normally "motylek" in Nominative and "motylku" in Vocative (so when you're saying it to somebody you use "motylku" when saying about somebody you use "motylek"), and it's a masculine gender noun, so it might be a little confusing when used about/to a girl :)

K is right, however even though the word is of masculine gender you may use without problem as a pet name for a girl.

Off-Topic / What's your connection with Poland? Penpals. [554]

Everything connects me to Poland:
I was born in Poland, grew up in Poland, left Poland and am coming back to Poland soon (for good this time, hopefully).

Life / Things that annoy you in Poland. [114]

How about charging for the loo in a restaurant when you already spent a substantial amount of money.

now that's annoying :)

That is annoying but it's not in Poland only - they do the same in Belgium ;)
