The high rate of aggressive spouse abuse, animal abuse and alcohol abuse is not a good combination with a gun available.

Yes, ban the violent video games that kill people.
Start sterilizing single mothers on welfare after their second child.
A very high percentage of gun crimes are committed by no fathers in the family.
For the students that have no manners and no desire to learn take them out of the public schools and put them in boot camps until they learn how to say, yes sir and no sir and have learned how to read and write while earning their room and board.

Anyone caught with a gun in the commission of a crime shoot them on the spot as you have no civil rights at that point.

Anyone caught with a gun dealing hard drugs get an automatic twenty years in prison.
Laws like this would have no bearing on law abiding private gun owners.

I quit when driving a vehicle while smoking marihuana laws changed years ago.
It is the same fine for being caught driving high on weed as it is for drink driving.
And if you are in a car accident while driving stoned on pot you will be doing some serious jail time.

Let the citizens decide weather it was justified, not some police panel that ALWAYS rules in the police favor even if the shooting is captured on video and the cop is guilty as sin.

They don't want the hard core criminals that have no intention of paying their fines or court costs and could care how long they are locked up with free t.v., weight rooms, free laundry, three square's a day and free health care.

The system loses money on those kind.

When I was ten years old I use to take my .22 rifle (uncased) and walk with it to the other side of town to the city garbage dump all by myself.

Stop on the way and buy myself a hundred rounds of ammo for $1.00.
My buddies would meet me there with their .22's and we would shoot rats all day Saturday and then walk back across town with our guns.

If a ten year old tried doing that in this day and age their would be a S.W.A.T Team called in with parents going to jail.

That is one example of how times have changed in the last fifty years thanks to the Gun Grabber Liberal teachers teaching children that guns are BAD.

But what do you expect when you take God out of the schools, pamper the kids with safe rooms, teach immorality to them as being o.k., having the feminist movement think raising children without a father doesn't make any difference, having the courts be the third parent in the marriage, giving kids real life video games that you get an extra 1000 points for shooting a cop...........I mean do you really wonder why society is so screwed up to the point these kids actually think it is normal to have a mother with a penis ?

My point here is that family knew, (he had fresh cuts/slices on his arms and his posts on social media saying that he wanted to be a school shooter while sporting several different firearms) he had been expelled from school, (for aggressive behavior) so his teachers knew, the police had interactions with him 39 times (in a two year period) so they knew that this guy was a ticking time bomb.

All of these people should have done their best to make sure because of his mental illness of aggressive behavior that he was not allowed to purchase a fire arm.

Many people are excluded from owning, purchasing or possessing a firearm in the United States.
For example anyone with a domestic violence charge, prisoners, an aggressive felony charge, a felony drug charge...........
Many people in the United States are lawfully excluded from the 2cd Amendment by State laws.
And yes, the mentally ill with aggressive behavior like all the shooters have been are also excluded from owning a firearm.
And if the system had not broken down the Florida shooter would have been on that list.

In fact only a diagnosed mentally ill person themselves would think it should be o.k. for the mentally ill taking anti depressants and anti anxiety medication to own a AR-15 assault rifle themselves.

All these prescription drugs have warnings on them not to operate machinery or drive a car because they may cause drowsiness yet none of them say, may cause hallucinations WHICH IS one of the side effects of these drugs.

Until the bleeding heart liberals understand that these mental patients should be placed in mental hospitals for their safety as well as the publics safety instead of having the rationalization that it violates their Constitutional Rights the problem is going to continue.

That's the problem, not the guns.
Like Sig, live in a very peaceful town where there is never any gun violence even though many people carry one.
Knives kill more people then guns do.
So back to my idea, let's compare and debate how Poland and the rest of Europe deal with their mentally ill population compared to how America deals with theirs.

You are TOTALLY correct on that and very good point maf.

I have taken several concealed and carry classes, mostly for the law aspect of it as I qualified as a sharpshooter when I was nine years old.

I could honestly say that 75% of the people that take those classes to qualify for a concealed and carry SHOULD NOT own a gun.
They come to those classes and don't even know how to load a gun and are constantly innocently pointing them at people.
I have had at least six people thrown out of classes for innocently pointing one at me.
This brings us to your point maf, if someone pulls theirs to merely intimidate or threaten another person and not willing to use it....it will end up bad for them.

If they live to tell about it the least they will get is four or five years in prison for brandishing a weapon.
My personal view is that if I ever have to pull my weapon that I will be using it or it stays in the holster.
