Ridiculous.

They need to step it up in the second half. Probierz should be sacked ASAP, he's clueless.

Polonia / Polish bus crash in Croatia. Is there a fate? [227]

Known by sane people as.... Macedonia.

Exactly. Maybe Crow is now a Greek patriot and his motto is "Una faccia una razza /μια φάτσα μια ράτσα"? I never thought I would see this. Whatever next? Crow converting to Catholicism and going on a pilgrimage to Rome?

History / Why Poland is not Russia [260]

Always a pleasure to observe two Polish patriots recognize each other's moral superiority.

Heart-warming, isn't it? A man less decent than you would in such situation feel aversion to Poles caused by his own wickedness. A truth-loving Russian, however, can always appreciate the sight of two Poles basking in each other's thorough decency and righteousness. And some silly men here think that there are no common values on which Polish-Russian friendship could be built.

when I mentioned your grandpa! Do you remember?? That was very funny.

You can really be such an arsehole, Pawian, it's unbelievable (even for PF standards).

News / Building regional alliance to stabilize Eastern Europe. [236]

....aaaaand, more importantly, you can't just leave us alone!

... we're not leaving you alone! Everybody is still in the EU, but to alleviate the problems of unavoidable decision inertia of such a huge alliance, regional blocks wil facilitate quick and decisive actions when they are necessary. The Weimar Triangle is obviously the leader - and each of the WT countries get their own sphere of influence: France - the Mediterranean, Germany - central Europe with Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Luxembourg (the core lands) and Poland the Intermarium (or modifications of it).

It's a win-win-win situation for all three: France, Germany and Poland.

The only chance for Poland to be in a good alliance is the EU.

And nobody is even contemplating leaving the EU. I'm sure that's not what Iron meant. Poland must remain a part of united Europe - this is where we belong.

^^

:)

Hmm... very good, Iron. You make a surprisingly lot of sense. Have you considered joining PSL? Poland needs intelligent patriots, immune to outside influence and capable of independent thinking.

Even in this thread we encounter a wonder, a German worshiper.

Maybe "keen admirer" would be a better term than "worshiper". No man is without his flaws and Pawian, of course, has his own. However, pay attention to his love of Poland, honest patriotism and high potential of monkey viciousness which can be very useful in certain situations. It is my sincere hope that you and Pawian reconcile one day and join your strenghts in fight for the common good of our fatherland.

moral superiority

Of course, you are quite right - all the values stem from moral superiority, just like all the virtues stem from humility and faith in God, and all vices from pride and unbelief. In this sense you are right and I have to praise you for your insight and depth of thinking.

However, when we are talking about the umbrella of PNWD, we cannot base the extending of it over the Baltics and Romania on their moral superiority because - frankly - they don't have it (Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian SS units, Romanian alliance with nazis in WW2 etc.). No. We have to base our extension of nuclear umbrella on those countries on their love of freedom because, being flawed as they are, this is the value that they share with us.

Don't make the mistake, which so many liberal-minded people these days make, that there are nations equal to Poles in moral terms. There aren't.

values

freedom

Coming back to the vital question of values. Polish Nuclear Weapons Doctrine (PNWD) would, as the first nuclear doctrine in the world, be based entirely on values - especially freedom. That's why the very thought of Polish nuclear weapons gives Russians such a fright - they know we would base the use of them on values.

We would rather die than be enslaved, we are free people, and there is a very high possibility that we would extent PNWD on the Baltics and Romania. For example, if our Baltic or Romanian allies came to us and said: "Dear Poles, we are like you - we too prefer death to enslavement, take us under your nuclear umbrella and unleash all hell upon the invaders if they ever manage to enslave us". We would say "Of course, dear brothers and allies, consider it done".

That would stop any possibility of Russian westward expansion. Check-mate, not-so-dobri brate Putin.

History / The Battle of Kolberg 1945 [9]

I meant the initial stage of forming the army in the USSR.

In such case you're right, but it's only natural because early on, when the army was formed, it was created and directed by the Soviet command, and our units had to be prepared to cooperate smoothly with Red Army units. Later, as the army grew and developed, more Polish officers were promoted into positions of leadership, and the Soviet influence gradually diminished. A very similar process took place in case of Czechoslovak Army in the Soviet Union.

News / Building regional alliance to stabilize Eastern Europe. [236]

regional alliance

Basically Intermarium minus smaller countries, plus Germany, two Scandinavian countries and Turkey.

Germany is too big (as usual, too big for Europe too small for the world) and would eventually tend towards dominating the alliance economically and politically, the way they dominate the EU. Not a good idea.

Turkey would introduce instability to the alliance, with their military coups, constant tension between lay and religious parties and eternal conflict with Greece, another NATO member. Not a good idea.

Sweden and Finland, OK - they might prove useful.

If we really want to have a strong block within the EU, then smaller countries like Czechia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia have to be included too, but then we are back at Intermarium, so what's the difference?

History / The Battle of Kolberg 1945 [9]

Soviets created the Polish Army but its officers were Soviet cos Polish ones had been executed in Katyn

Not true. Most officers of 1st PA were Poles. One of the Warsaw Uprising veterans, Stanisław Komornicki (later a general of LWP), distinguished himself in the Battle of Kołobrzeg, as well as colonel Jan Niewiński (kresowiak, and former Home Army fighter).

it was Soviet Russian and Belarussian soldiers who invaded Poland on 17 Sep 1939 in alliance with Nazi Germans. Then the 4th partition of Poland followed and Katyn Massacre.

True.

And it is also true that in the later stages of the war Poles and Russians fought hand in hand against the nazis, forming brotherhood in arms which resulted in crushing the Third Reich and the rebirth of Poland, ethnically pure and with former Piast Slavic lands restored to our fatherland (in exchange for ethnically largely Ukrainian, Samogitian and Belarussian Kresy).

Adversity doesn't shape character, adversity reveals character.

It can do both, and different circumstances require different socio-political solutions. It is easy to judge, not that easy to try to understand.

russian values =/= Polish values

Ah, yes...

Obedience to Tsars vs Rokosze (noble uprisings) and Golden Freedom
Oprichniks vs defenders of individual freedoms (Włodkowic, Zamoyski, Żółkiewski)
Cамодержавие vs Liberum Veto

The values are different indeed, shaped by different historical circumstances, but the two nations share many similar characteristics and remain culturally close (at least on the very basic, folk level).

History / The Battle of Kolberg 1945 [9]

In two days we will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Kolberg in which the units of 1st Belarussian Front and 1st Polish Army took the German Festung Kolberg and once again, after 1000 years, Kolberg went back to its old name - Kołobrzeg (in the year 1000, when the city was part of Poland, it became the seat of the Diocese of Kołobrzeg, one of five oldest Polish dioceses).

Kolberg 1945

The anniversary will as usual be quiet, with no central-level politicians present (or those who will attend won't brag about it in their social media) and no wide media coverage. It is not politically correct these days to remind about the brotherhood in arms of Polish, Russian and Belarussian soldiers. Some retards even went as far as calling 1st PA a "Polish-speaking Soviet army". Let's draw the veil of silence on their galactic stupidity.

The soldiers of 1st Polish Army were a varied bunch: came from all the regions of Poland, some had tough time in gulags behind them, some were communists and former BCh members, some were former Home Army fighters and Warsaw Uprising veterans - as I said, a varied bunch - but on this day they had one job, taking Kołobrzeg and reversing the historical process of Drang Nach Osten.

Poland came back almost to Her westernmost limits, came back to the cold Slavic waters of Oder river. Piast eagles were once again flying proudly over this ancient piece of Slavia.

Cześć i chwała bohaterom! Вечная слава героям!

History / Why Poland is not Russia [260]

Poland is considered the West by Russians and we will never be friends.

I think you are wrong on both points. If they considered us the West, they wouldn't have their national proverb "курица не птица, Польша не заграница". Examples of many personal friendships - not only online ones - between Poles and Russians contradict the second part of your statement.

You are too much of a pessimist and you have very little faith in Slavic hearts and souls. There can and will be, even if not friendship then, at least, mutual respect and cooperation between Russia and Poland.

everything has settled down in Russia in these three years to such an extent that turning back from this path is impossible. This would be a (...) risk that is not worth taking and that Putin does not want to take. He is convinced that this path is the path to Russia's greatness.

This, unfortunately, is also my assessment of the situation.

That's why we have to be against not-so-dobri brat Putin. He is leading Nasha Dobra Majka Slavija on a very bad path indeed.

News / Presidential elections 2025 - the race has commenced!!! [665]

Poland`s eternal destiny is to be allied with the civilised West against barbarian Russia.

Here's where we differ.

Poland's eternal destiny is to be a bridge and a mediator between civilised (but rotten) West and wild (but noble) Russia. We can be against a certain Russian government (like the current putinist regime) but we cannot be against Russia herself. She is our sister in Slavia.

Too sophisticated for simple pleasures, Johnny? Nipples and dicks just don't meet your high standards? Well, excusez-moi, Sir Highbrow, perhaps you should rather go to Monaco than Chałupy.

You mean with those who support the Tusk government.

PSL, as you may well remember, was in the government with SLD, PO and even PiS (on local government/municipal level). That's real politics. The point is to have real influence on those in power - if you can't win the elections then at least as a coalition partner. This way you can keep and develop your political structures, make sure that your aims are - at least partially - realised, and you can block the most idiotic ideas of your coalition partners if such need arises.

Of course, you can - as Konfederacja does - stay outside and only criticise everything; a very comfortable position but ultimately pointless.

You stand against Poland's interest

Believe it or not (they probably don't write it in "Najwyższy CZAS!") but PSL is consistently most pro-Polish party. They are not exceedingly either pro-American, pro-Russian or pro-European, they look first for the interest of Poland in the long run. Peasant common sense. Salt of the Earth.

ah, but maybe you have an interest of your own

I have children. Their future is my interest, and their future depends on whether Poland is a safe and prosperous country. I don't feel like emigrating and selling my heart and heritage for a couple of dollars/euros, so I stand with Poland through thick and thin like PSL always have...

PSL

from now on I'm holding you personally responsible for everything the government does and doesn't do

you should vote Konfederacja

Thanks, but I'll stick with PSL (the conservative wing). Konfederacja are boy scouts not ready for serious politics yet.

At least they wouldn't make such an embarrassing demonstration

That's true. Although they may run around with fire extinguishers, advocate corporal punishment for children or say on Twitter that there is no evidence that Earth orbits the Sun. :)
