..and if you knew anything about Maria's life, you would know how hard she had to fight to be taken seriously as a scientist. She was told that her brain was too small and weak to have any scientific thought for example...:):) She was told to stop bothering...

She was truly exceptional. A less determined woman could have been just as bright and ended up teaching school all her life.

yeh i wish i was fukcing 'pampered' - what a joke. Men walk away from their responsibilities and then we have to read shyte like that.

Caster Semenya is not 'transgendered' AFAIK.

Why are you being so hateful? I am a woman and don't have 'expensive clothes and make-up to 'hide my aging skin' - just getting on with things as best as I can like normal people do. Sawing logs, whatever needs doing, y know. Maybe it's just the women you have chosen to hang out with?

Btw you don't get 'morphine' when you are giving birth. Just saying.

i live in London and from among 1000-ds street sweepers i seen,i never encountered a woman.doing this

I can assure you that those street sweepers and casual building site labourers are earning more than the hordes of female office and domestic cleaners (kind of female equivalent)

Well mine was a lot higher than that , last time i was tested (yes a long time ago too, so probably less now) . But that is all really beside the point. There are so many other factors that indicate success and high earnings, as Ironside pointed out.

if more men are genius's (which I agree with) then fine, let genius's be paid more. In this case we are not talking about everyday jobs and the everyday pay gap are we?

There are not that many Stephen Hawkings among us are there, let's be honest.
There are also more total idiots that are male, as exemplified nicely by you... should that bring down the pay...?

I can assure you that I would beat you on any intelligence test. You are not coming over as educated or intelligent in any way.

If you want to tell me that my brain is smaller than a mans, and therefore I am less intelligent,, I would then suggest that your penis is 30 per cent smaller than average. It makes as much sense..:)

yes but Gregy I am not a failure...:) I have been to university, raised and financially supported a family, and do not have a criminal record ...

Women are discouraged in different ways from doing STEM subjects. For example my daughter chose to do engineering, and was the only girl in the class.

The boys would sit around talking in a really horrible way about sex, and the teacher never told them to shut it. Just one small example.

'Great' in this sense means 'most important'.

Yes it is a shame that women are discouraged from STEM subjects. Probably a topic deserving of a whole other thread - but not here.

However, a female lawyer, for example, would obviously deserve to be paid the same for doing the same job as a man...

Why I am even discussing this with a semi-literate is starting to bother me...

Frankly no, a high IQ is not a great indicator of future success. However I reiterate, I am quite sure mine is bigger than yours...;)

I am getting tired of explaining my name to fools. I chose it to indicate that I have reached a stage in my life when I can no longer pretend to know or understand everything. If you are very lucky, one day you too might realise that about yourself. In addition I chose it to show that I am a learner of Polish.

I dont see it so much as 'homophobic' as ignorant, as anyone with a smidgeon of language awareness would know that 'homo' just means 'same', as in 'homosexual'.'homeopathy' and 'homo sapiens'/ So po' Pollie is getting all hot under the collar about the 'sames'...:)

Anyway apart from that, he uses the term with the intention of being offensive, does he not? Intention is all.
Once again I find myself wondering why he is (still) so fascinated by 'homo's.

a country which has very slack gun laws

we cannot judge 'the states' by our European standards or even compare it. Carrying a gun was part of surviving on the frontier. It's in their culture, 'the right to bear arms'.
