News / Polexit? Almost half of the Poles believe that Poland would be better off outside of the EU [548]

A core EU might actually be the way forward, truth to be told.

Oh no! lol
I concur, go all the way - trum, trum, terum tum tum .

Alternately Brussels and all pen pusher could be fired and have some basic agreement of cooperation without any need forceful rules.

It's situation would still have impact on Poland, even if not as direct.

Yes, but Poland would have more freedom on more control over it direction and affairs'.

It's only the other side of:

I don't care about EU as long as Poland is not a part if it. I only wonder how long EU will survive without few eastern Europe and few other countries. Wish you the best of luck.

Johnson promised you £350m a week for the NHS

Oh that nothing. Lefties promise a land of tolerance, love and equality and they deliver. They equally hate and are prejudiced against anyone different than them.

Seems that Russia is doing badly both economically and politically since they are out to get Poland at least on the historical narrative front. Seeing as they produce Stalin's fabrications and propaganda as historical facts. Some American Jews love it. Are they in cahoots, that desperate for money or there is a collusion?

hreats to our culture or identity are mainly imaginary.

LGBT and processive ideology is very much real not imaginary. You in your sh..thole has not idea how much of that nonsense is present in Warsaw or Poznan.

It is supported and financed heavily from abroad. One it end up in schools and become pert of gov policies children will be brainwashed. It can happen tomorrow.

build a Polish nuclear power plant.

Poland has a nuclear plant since late 50'. Mainly for a research purposes. Try to keep up.

The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

Childlike adults should not call people names.

even people like Gandhi

hey haven't you heard? Gandhi was racist. Do keep up with your own ideological base.

The EU is the greatest political project of peace and prosperity ever undertaken.

You are forgetting about Kommunismus - sorry but it always make me laugh, German words for communisms and socialisms.

Iron must pay for my beer..

Sure, I can give you beer money all the time and then go around and ask for a lot of 'favors' hence I'm paying for your beer. (your take on EU, founds, Poland)

Germany has in fact a lot of soft power by any indication.

Not only Netflix series but a lot political values. German political values are rather insular and those which are not, consist of the progressive neo-Marxist BS that do more harm than good in Poland- German relations.

Why now?

Because if you want to influence a country to be amendable for your economical or political interest you better have something that would persuade them rather than rely on purely economical or monetary forces. Even if you get what you not in a short run it will create resentment and a lot of backslash in the long run. What's good about it?

against an over mighty Germany and the big russian bear, isn't that so Iron?

Well, overbearing powerful neighbor could a constitute a danger. That is given. However most of that political jabbering in Poland is a hyperbole. It doesn't reflect reality of a Polish mindset that well. Beside me lots of people have very down to the Earth practical approach to issues.

the sympathy or interest

Don't blame others for your culture with low appeal. lol

I'm sure that if Germany would have any more soft power alot of Poles on PF would complain about a "take over"..

Maybe they would. However it is a totally different aspect. I might not be happy about outcome but at the same I would acknowledge it for what it is. That would be an entirely different talk.

Not being able to match economical prowess with an with appriopate cultural influence is a big problem. For everyone involved.

Culture also has its material aspect

Yeah, I'm not talking about THAT aspect. Its the other parts. As someone pointed out Germany have no soft power to go with their economical influence and that is a problem, a big F problem. Seems like Germans on PF do not get it!

Prussian influences there were very positive

I wouldn't go that far.

m sure little Jakub will grow up fully appreciating what Germany has to offer! ;)

That is different dude. We are not talking about immigration or assimilation but about attractiveness of the German culture to an average Polish person.

Do you really think you can speak for all of them?@ Bratwurst Boy

I can speak for the majority of Polish people.
My mother was fluent in German and tried to teach me some when I was a kid. I can order a beer, ask where is a toiled get a gist of a simple sentence in German. That about it. As for the German culture. It wasn't really interesting to me and it isn't for the majority of the Polish people/

because that's the general direction in which we're heading at the moment.

That is not a fact but your opinion. Are you sure it derive from your rational side or is it just a partisan political bickering? Anyhoo, the devil is in the details. What, how, when and with whom. Creating aim of a diplomacy depending on pollical likes and dislike or on a whim or even worse - to kick your political opponent is just whimsical folly. I really dislike it.

No.

Well, at the very least you echoes here rhetorical hyperboles and whishy whooshy emotional BS overrepresented in Poland in political talk. Just cut it off. It is emotional nonsense. Silly claims aimed to justify emotional outrage and reactions. Snap out of it.

blatant disregard to Polish Constitution

BS, it goes both ways, everyone do not give a s/////t about constitution is just a tool to hit your political enemy with. Don't be silly, why are you repeating that tripe?

END of Part 1.

How can you ignore all that???

Hey BB, don't take it personally. I'm not being nasty here. Just staying as it is. It works other way around too. Few Germans if any has much of an idea about Poland or it culture and I don't mean those who are doing it as a profession.

This is the way it is. Seems people in Poland are more interested in Korean culture than German. Why is that? I don't know. If German culture would be a dish it could be described by polish people as bland and boring.

On the other hand efficiency and order in Germany is something Poles are silently envious of in a positive way.

a proud Polish history,

Poland was an empire long before your pirates financed yours Dough. It kept a balance of power in this part of Europe for about 500 years. Your ended what after 200 - 300? So stop scoffing it only stress your ignorance Dougie. It wasn't about skills ( if we talk about old Poland) but about a game that was much more complex that anything you had in the west.

You had tyrannical rulers that united and centralized their country by set of bloody wars on their subjects, kept in check by a brute force and a state decreed religion - so stop being so condescending will you?

Gulags in the EU

Just a rhetorical hyperbole. However the fact is EU promote an ideology that is not suited for Polish people and it will be rejected by the majority. Pusing it onto Poland is just antagonizing people big time against EU. More that those economical and political issues that majority of Polish people do not perceive that well.

Polish position in the EU;

What position? That of a serf? To phrase it better a junior partner of Germany or more realistically as a vasal state? Your position is bizarre.

Kaczynski's way to turning Poland into a quasi-dictatorial state (

Dude, aren't you delusional big time and somewhat of a drama queen? Things you say here are just delusion or lies.

Because NATO will likely not be around to protect them for much longer.

Well if NATO is not around any longer. EU is hardly a substitute. Unless you are talking about Germany and advocating that is a much better option for Poland to become Germany's vassal which is not a new idea.

Problem with that is the fact that Germans are really bad at being say seniors partner in relations and they ten to antagonize people and countries. On the top they have no soft power. German culture is not attractive to Polish people at all, or any people other than Austrian maybe.

Germany IS sharing it's wealth with you

German economy jump started since Poland's market opened to it. That is the reason you overtook France. So don't talk to me as if there were any favors.

Do you think Poland should take some refugees for that?

No! I found it funny that for those relativity small money Germans think that can buy everything and the list is growing. Phew!

the money has to be paid back to the EU.

I don't know what planet you are on but I have no idea what you are talking about.

s. That other countries shouldering the burden don't look favourable to the solidarity ditchers is another point...

1. German boss make an unliteral decision - let this refugees in.
2. Most of those so called refuges wants to go and stay in Germany or alliteratively in Scandinavia.
3. After sh.t hit the fan Germany start talking about solidarity sharing burden and all the BS while pushing for north stream 2.
Question:
What gives the right for German head of state to make such decision in the name of the EU?
what about 'human rights and dignity' of refuges who want to stay in Germany not go to Poland? Shouldn't they whishes be respected?
How come solidarity in German means something else than in other languages? In other languages it means two ways streets. In Germany it means if WE need something others SHOULD give it to us. The other way around no so much.

- How about we share everything burdens and gains? Poland take some refuges and a part of Germany wealth - fair is fair after all.
