Richard Quest CNN Interview HRH (His Royal Highness) Crown Prince Alexander (heir to the throne of Yugoslavia and Serbia)

youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HNA_ex9aDb4

Karadjordjevic`s are royal line that effectively started liberation of Serbs and all the Slavs who were oppressed by Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Turkish rule. Today, Karadjordjevic`s are definitely most interesting noble line and aristocrats of Slavic world.

Polish elite played important role in consolidation of Karadjordjevic`s throne in Serbia, in the beginning of this century. Poles and Serbs wanted two things- 1. liberation of Slavs from Austro-Hungarian and Turkish rule and 2. to restrict and prevent Russian absolute domination inside of Slavic world.

With the help of Polish representatives, who sent Zwierkowski to Belgrade, the Constitutionalists organized a revolt in Serbia in 1842, and expelled Prince Michael Obrenovic. After that, Alexander Karadjordjevic officially became the new Prince

Ilija Garasanin's "Nacertanije"

Poles and Serbians had plans for mutual defense in WWII. Poles could always rely on Racowie and its not we who failed to coordinate but we made mistake, we both- Poles and Serbs trusted to Britain >>>

NOTE: King Peter Karadjordjevic of Yugoslavia was father of above mentioned Crown Prince Alexander. King Peter died in exile, betrayed by Britain and USA- our treacherous allays who supported communist dictator Tito to rule over Yugoslavia.

You mean like nobilty, Aristocrats, or family's with rich titles?

yes, yes

My family come from a Polish/German poor noble family

really? nice

what i know, in my family line/Clan nobody was promoted to nobility

But, our family tree remembered one occasion. That is, in time of Austro-Hungaria, brother of my grand grandfather abandoned Dalmatia and Lika because of work and settled in what is today`s Hungary. After a while he married to a Hungarian Countess from Carpathian region. Family data also recorded that, what was very unusual and interesting, his wife Countess, together with her family name and title took his (our) family name, too after married to my grand grand cousin.

As i know, even today, in Hungary lives those my distant cousins and still are bearers of our family name together with their other name and title.

That`s, what i know, our only connection with nobility in family. There are some other stories inside of family but, they are on the level of rumors so never mind.

Bronisław Komorowski comes from noble family. His coat of arms is Korczak.

true. You are right, man is of noble origin. Very interesting

Bronisław Komorowski

Bronisław Komorowski - Acting President of Poland - Incumbent

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronis%C5%82aw_Komorowski

Bronisław Maria Komorowski, of Clan Korczak (born 4 June 1952) is the Acting President of Poland. When Lech Kaczyński, the President of Poland, died in a plane crash on 10 April 2010, presidential powers and duties automatically transferred to Komorowski because he was Marshal of the Sejm (Speaker of Parliament). His position as Acting President is temporary, and Komorowski remains in his role as Speaker, at least until a presidential election can be held. Komorowski is also the Civic Platform government's presidential candidate in that election, due to be held on 20 June 2010.

Russian Nobility of Today

Wednesday February 22, 2006
goeasteurope.about/b/2006/02/22/russian-nobility-of-today.htm

BBC offers this video news.bbc.co.uk/nolavconsole/ifs_news/hi/newsid_4720000/newsid_472 8800/nb_rm_4728800.stm
highlighting how the descendents of the Tsars--and the nouveau riche of Russia and abroad--are looking back to Imperial Russia for inspiration to create identities in post-Communist Russia. Because most everyone who was alive during the last reign of the Romanovs survive now in the genes of their grandchildren, the titled nobles can imitate but a perception of the Russia that existed before Nicholas II was deposed. Is this romantic, pathetic, or something else? Share your thoughts about the heirs of the Russian throne in the forum or start a discussion on a topic of your choice.

Philip Radziwill with his wife Devon

News are really fresh...

Devon Schuster Marries Her Prince, Philip Radziwill In First Fairytale Wedding of 2010

If New York seemed too quiet this month it's because everyone skipped town for chicer climes. We've been covering the Sundance scene and now turn our attention to the glamorous Alps, where Derek Blasberg tweeted from the top o' the mountain and attended the wedding of Vogue's Devon Schuster to childhood sweetheart Philip Radziwill in the first fairytale wedding of 2010.

The wedding took place on January 15 and 16 in Gstaad, Switzerland, at a chalet belonging to the family of Radziwill, and lasted well into the night (as all good weddings should). As for the guest list, imagine all the cool lunch tables in the high school cafeteria converging on one dance floor. Besides Derek and the equally chatty Lyle Maltz were Minnie Mortimer, Lauren and Andres Santo Domingo,Bettina Prentice, and Devon's fellow Voguettes Meredith Melling Burke and Sylvana Soto-Ward.

Devon is a Vogue staffer, and Philip, grandson of Prince Stanislaw Albrecht Radziwill who was once married to Jacqueline Kennedy's sister Lee, is a London-born banker. They registered at Tiffany, Bloomingdale's, and Williams Sonoma and have a wedding website hosted by Wedding Channel.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

It goes without saying that many people have long been fascinated with Jackie Onassis- no surprise there. But Jackie's sister Lee Radziwill is also a style icon, albeit one who still stands in the shadow of her more famous sister. Certainly Radziwill is known for her keen fashion sense, but she seems to be quite confident in how she chooses to live (I'm talking about the actual interiors of her homes- NOT her personal life!).

R2

The dining room of Radziwill's country house Turville Grange c. 1971. The walls were covered in Sicilian scarves that had been lacquered. Painted panels were superimposed over the scarves. If this was not designed by Mongiardino, it certainly looks it.

The garden room of Turville Grange certainly had an English country house feel, but some of the furniture gave it a modern twist.

R4

The front hall at Turville Grange, again c. 1971

R5

The dining room of Radziwill's Fifth Avenue apartment, c. mid-1970s. The walls were covered in silk moire. Don't you think the Regency dining chairs and pedestal table are stunning?

I think this is one of my favorite rooms in Radziwill's New York apartment.

The drawing room was also a vision in red.

History / Lusatian-Sarmatic obsession of Poles [153]

i herad some people saying... `if Slavs ever unite they would unite around the good food and drink`

i said to myself let's make a flag motivated by food and drink, blue white and red with a big bread and slivovica in the middle. Each country can have their own national flag with the food in the center too, Poles could place pirog in the middle, Russians have a pirozhok in the middle of the tricolor, the Serbs have a slice of gibanitza in the middle of theirs, etc...

I can imagine going into battle with that. `S Verom u Boga i pobedu cevapcica!`

News / Polish PM Tusk- dictator or not? What Poles think? [455]

arguably the most progressive, farsighter and progressive of all Habsburgs

who argued? farsighter of what? progressive by which standards?

if he was that progressive why he didn`t respect Serbians and Slavs? We told him but he provoked, he wanted to humiliate Serbs, on our ground. Then, he died... and it was like braking the neck of the cat,... with only two fingers. Many Romans already had died from the hands of Skordisci. He was just one of many on the way to oblivion

Belgrade (Sindidun/Singidunum) coming! Tell that to Brussels! Tell that to all Slavs, to all the Celts, to all native Europeans!

Have you any speeches of Tusk speaking about the Balkans, Crow?

sure, i have

Question to Polish prime minister from student of Warsaw university when he have meet with students:

tan, Gazeta.pl, mar; 2008-02-27, ostatnia aktualizacja 2008-02-27 17:24

Tusk explaining to Polish students why Poland took part in partition of Serbia (land of Racowie), historically loyal Polish partner.

translation:

``-Why you broken international law and ignored opinion of Polish people and recognized Kosovo? (...)

Prime minister in answer assure that Poland no act against Serbia and that he personally ``love Jugoslavian culture`` He said that Poland have to do the same what another countries of the world and that Poland needed to balance between world powers.``

Such a treachery can be committed only by dictator who ignore will of majority in public, while on his own follow agenda of foreign centers of power. All money of EU can`t compensate such a blow onto Polish vital strategic interests. Blow committed by prime minister of Poland. Only President Kaczinsky was Tusk`s real political opponent and now...

Sorry I stick to my point that Serbia is a backward and violent, mafia-dominated "country".

Sorry, you are wrong. Since when is freedom loving people labeled as backward and violent?

Investment opportunities in Serbia

SIEPA

European investors have ranked Serbia among the top 25 investment opportunities globally (1).

They managed to start the First World War, you have to be a pro to do that one.

Austro-Hungaria and Germany started WWI. Its official historic fact. Serbia was in alliance with Entente powers and leading liberation force of Slavic world (against both, Ottoman Turkey and Austro-Hungarian empire). First victory of allayed forces was won by Serbians and, also battle that ended Turkish domination on Balkan was won by Serbians.

I am not Polish, that much is true, but I wholeheartedly in local and European elections voted PO. I think in Poland they deliver the majority of the normal balanced politicians (with the exception of Palikot maybe).

i respect any opinion of Polish people. Its maybe only this momentum of history that Poles and Serbs have different interests. Or, it just only appear to be that way

on the other side, even Serbian politicians failed to defend Serbian interests. What should then Serbs expect from Polish politicians

But people. God would save people

he took part in partition of Serbia and creation of Greater Albania. President Kaczynski opposed to his anti-Serbian policy but now Tusk can do whatever he want. At least, as long as Polish public tolerate him

What happened to Dindić, for example?

CIA or Albanian KLA maybe? Some speculate

Arkan and prominent Red Star fans were hardcore mafia folk. You even admitted it yourself, Crow, it's a subculture and not broadly representative of Serbian culture at all.

but, you don`t know whole story

When Serbia was exposed to economic blockade and trade embargo (after 1991) by Israel, Islamic league, NATO and EU, only mafia was able to break the blockade around Serbia. So, mafia flourished. Official politics was in situation to tolerate mafia. It was the matter of survivor, no only of regime but also of ordinary people, children is hospitals. State had much bigger problems to deal with, starting from mujaheedines and NATO attacks in Bosnia, Hercegovina and Rashka region to the ustashe attacks on Krajina and Kosovo Muslim terrorists.

Only because of this situation was possible for people like Arkan to present itself as hero. He was warrior but notorious criminal in the same time, criminal capable to provide fuel and medications via black market (for example).

But, when embargo against Serbia was over, state started to deal with mafia problem. Since then, back in that time, Montenegro president Milo Djukanovic (internetional criminal boss) confronted with Milosevic and started his separatist policy.

Modern day Serbian state practically solved mafia problem and play leading role in the region, in that sense.
