Polonia / Polish Zloty Can't Exchange in France!.. [26]

Along with growing discontent

True.France has many problems.
But many advantages too......I can't understand why so many refugees in France want to come to the UK.
It must be because we are an easier touch than France.

Polonia / Polish Zloty Can't Exchange in France!.. [26]

Yes France is the most visited in Europe

For good reasons.
France has everything.
They are so lucky that most French people rarely holiday abroad.
They just don't need to.
They have everything anyone could want in their own country.....plus great food, wine etc......

UK, Ireland / Polish People are Welcome in Scotland [54]

BBC?? I'm talking about CBS as well as ABC right here at home!

I can't comment on American TV but here in the UK The BBC and Channel 4 do show a definite left wing bias.

Language / -ski/-ska, -scy/ski, -wicz - Polish surnames help [185]

The correct spelling of this common surname suffix in Polish is "-ski", and Poles usually kept that spelling after immigration to America

That is not completely correct.
Immigration to America caused some language difficuties and because many women spoke better English than their husbands, when they gave their names it was ska not ski or ka not ko.

Which is what was registered.

Language / -ski/-ska, -scy/ski, -wicz - Polish surnames help [185]

As for names deriving from names of towns, they seem to be often used by Jews

No.
Poles did it too.
Zamoyski, Ostrowski, Krakowski, Tarnowski, the list is endless...... this is not a Jewish thing.

History / Churchill and Poland [120]

Spot on.
As a Polish descendent I feel the betrayal Poles felt.
But as a logical observer, I can also see that The British could do no more.
It is one of those situations in history that you just have to shrug your shoulders.
What else could have been done?
Nothing.

History / Churchill and Poland [120]

Above sentence imply that Churchill was willing to go t o war with Soviets over Poland

No Iron, you misunderstood Delph.
Churchill went to Moscow to help alleviate the plight of The Poles.
Not to fight them.

It is entirely justified as the uk didn't even try to put some pressures on Stalin

What pressures could Britain have realistically put on Stalin after the war?
I understand your fierce patriotism my friend, but you need to get real.

Work / Is it difficult to make a living playing Soccer (football) in Poland? [54]

@Ernest_isabig_na
To have any degree of success as a footballer you need to have truly exceptional talent. And stay focused and determined to make it.
I know some very good footballers who earnt a good living for about 10 years and then never really made it.
One of them played for the England under 23 squad and is now one of my van drivers on a fairly low wage.
It is tough.....

History / Churchill and Poland [120]

So it may be a kind of an international production, but German participation seems to be the most significant

Agreed.
We all know that Britain betrayed Poland in the end.
It was an impossible dilemma.
But what would anyone else do in in Churchill's shoes?

Polonia / Poland, Germany, France, Spain or Greece? [35]

Krakow is still considered by many to be the crowning jewel among Polish cities.

It is.
But it is extremely "touristy" now, can be relatively expensive and smog ridden in winter.
But yes, it is a lovely city which you should find the time to visit.
I am sure you would love the old Jewish quarter.Very nice.
I recommend late spring or early summer.

News / Poles start to feel arrogant and superior to Southern Europeans [182]

Arrogance requires a superior culture

Yes and Spain and Italy do not posess that.

Also Italian cuisine is the best and healthier

Italian cuisine is pretty good but is beaten hands down by French cuisine.

Rome is a beautiful city, unfortunately it is full of Italians......

Love / Sexually liberal ----- Is this a fact or myth for Polish women living in Poland? [61]

Polish girls look and act wholesome, but good lord do they love sex.

Bloody hell, you are obsessed. ... and it's not true anyway, Polish girls are the same in that respect as most european or north american girls.

I know of NO self-respecting, attractive Polish woman who honestly revels in this garbage

Agreed.

I am most offended that you would make such a degrading comment about Polish women

He didn't......please pay attention....

I can't say the same for the Jewish women though when I went to college

Anti semitism raising it's ugly head again?
I had a couple of Jewish girlfriends when I was young, they were no better or worse than Polish or any other nationality.

News / Poland in the European Union. Polexit? [559]

I think it will probably collapse under the weight of its own contradictions by then

I suspect you are right.

the EU isn't really that scary in comparison.

That is very true.

News / Poland in the European Union. Polexit? [559]

Even when other Visegrad members leave EU?

Yes.
Dirk is right.
Poles will only consider leaving the EU when they no longer benefit from it and by then it will probably be too late to be able to leave.
