Genealogy / What are common Polish character traits? [417]

Overly assertive in a defensive fashion - The smart person pretends not to have the monopoly of info on any one subject and will say that they simply don't know. However, quite a few people here just can't confess to not knowing sth and will even say 'of course' when the answer is not that. I saw it yesterday in a game show too. The 'of course' suddenly became 'nope, you are wrong' as the answer was given. It's quite visible in some circles.

Genealogy / Polish looks? [1410]

Wow, talk about generalisations. There are many types of head here. Their noses can sometimes be offputting but there are many stunning girls here.

UK, Ireland / Why Poles will never belong in England [283]

Avalon, many Africans study Medicine. Brits are major recipients of benefits as the nanny state makes them that way.

Poles have their own inventions but let's not get into inventions. It doesn't decide who belongs where. Besides, they are for the collective benefit of humanity.

No Polish, please. Especially wrong Polish. Głupia if you want to be correct. Nie normalna. Wild flaming!

So what about Afrikaans folk claiming that large chunks of African land belonged to them? The Boers went there, as did the Brits and French etc etc. They also killed many native Africans during apartheid. Besides, how do you expect people to truly learn about other parts of the world if you deny them the opportunity of travelling? It's just fear on your part.

Besides, colour is BY FAR not the sole determinant of any given piece of land.

English people are a mix of colours. Your comment tells me you have never been there.

Have you seen how brown and black some English are? Gulasz is Hungarian btw. Africans have been around for a while, yes. Many do well when given a chance in the West. Many Slavs are white.

Said behind the safety of a computer. Why can't you just let them be? Do they interfere with your life? Where's your tolerance?

Life / Are the Polish Police Gutless? [20]

They have, over the years, traditionally been suspicious of the police. Going to the police with info is not so easy here. Are they gutless? Without their weapons, I guess many are.

Travel / Why do you visit Poland? [223]

Are you Russian, Chodov? You may have those things but as spectacular as in Poland?

News / Polish final report on Smoleńsk aircrash [859]

It was a joke although some aren't treating it as such amongst right-wing elements in Poland. It's much more like steam to me, not fog.

News / Polish final report on Smoleńsk aircrash [859]

I tend to follow it but I think international relations might have 'softened' some of the veracity of it.

I don't buy the barometric altimeter idea. It is FAAAAR too amateurish a mistake to make without other factors being present.

They were within their rights to protect the lives of theirs and the crew by refusing Blasik. Besides, Blasik was good friends with Protasiuk. Katana, or whatever his name was, could have been a problem.

Life / Birthday traditions in Poland [30]

Swede, that's not strictly true. It's a tradition for them to pay for their own drinks. It works out better for them as they don't need to pay for the drinks of their friends on their birthdays. It's observed here.

News / Polish final report on Smoleńsk aircrash [859]

Convex, the conditions deteriorated rapidly after that. The Yak pilot recommended that they try once and then go around. That was their green light.

So your bet, delph, is that they went against probability and hoped they wouldn't hit a tree? They were so close to escaping but that one tree screwed them. Bravado sometimes pays off but it often doesn't.

Delph, I think you'll agree it's messy. I heard that there was a mix-up in communication between the Yak pilot and themselves. Now, according to the reproduction I saw, the pilots confirmed that knowledge of the Yak pilot and there didn't appear to be any ambiguity. Yet again, conflicting accounts. It really miffs me how because the recordings are there, FACTUAL. Let's face another fact, though, the official visibility recordings were not exactly presented on time and details were sparse. How they could both cock things up to that extent is beyond me, it really is.

Love / Is it true that Polish women are very busty? [71]

Some boobies here are truly firm and that can give them the appearance of being really busty but it's just because they are that way that people think so.
