History / Why Was D-Day So Significant for Poland ? [266]

@pawian

A point well made.
But it still hurts that The Allies could not do more for Poland in 1945.
But the fact is that they probably could not.
The Soviet Union were too strong and in place and The Allies were exhausted and spent.
And the Russians knew that......

Life / What do Polish people think of the Asia and Middle East? [86]

Is that what you say?

Who gave you permission to put words in my mouth?

Nobody needs Russia and I think you will see more and more countries shunning China in future.

Poland can deal with the rest of the world.

If Milo is asked Poland exist to serve Anglos, Germanics and Vatican

That is your daft theory, not mine.

Poland has only to think of its own best interests and China and Russia are not useful to Poland or anyone else for that matter, except for the daft Serbs that lick their boots.

Agreed.
China did try to support Poland in1956 but it was a typically cynical Chinese move.
They never cared about Poland.
It was always all about China.
The Chinese are about as trustworthy as the Russians.

Life / Jerzy Kosinski - Polish author and liar [127]

race defilers (Rassenschaender) too were abused equally with the Jews

True, yet another disgusting German philosophy, but hey, Lyzko, you did it too..... you said, quite rightly, that they were abused equally with the Jews, but you did not mention the Poles....... this is where it all goes wrong.... you must not forget or ignore the Poles that suffered because if you do, you will recieve a backlash...... and then, some of you will call that antisemitism and wind it up further still. That is idiotic.

Do not forget the Poles that suffered and the many that helped Jews too.
What Poles hate most is Jews that claim that it was all about them.
In part it was, but that is by no means the full story.
Poles just want more honesty from the Jews.

Travel / Had the most unwelcoming experience in all my travels in Poland, very unfriendly people. [115]

@Badholidayinpola

Nah, what has been obvious from your first post is that you are a waste of time troll and I don't even believe that you are Dutch, despite the false clues you dropped.

I reckon that you are either an English, German or American neo Nazi.
You gave away too many clues......
Anyway, your mission here has failed, Poles are too bright for your small brain.
Now F off you total loser.

I can't disagree, but along with the terrible suffering of Jews in Poland, we must never forget the terrible suffering of ethnic Poles either.

I sometimes get the feeling that Polish suffering gets forgotten and it becomes all about the Jews and I feel this is wrong.
Jews and Poles both suffered under the Germans and Russians and this should never be forgotten.

Life / Books, shows and movies set in Poland [16]

It's rubbish

You are entitled to your opinion, but I enjoyed it.It is fantasy, you need to open your mind to alternative realities.

why is everything so futuristic and modern?

Despite the title of the show, it is based in 2003.Maybe you missed something.
Hey, why all the negative stuff?
This was the first Polish TV show to go global.
Isn't that at the very least praiseworthy?

I would love to know what you think of the series called 1983

It is very dark but I enjoyed it.

Robert Wieckiewicz, who plays the lead role is a fine actor.

News / Should Poland leave the EU institution? [147]

they only wanted in as they have seen how successful the EU had become..

No.They only wanted in at a time.when The UK economy was.failing.

I would rather bet you that we see Scotland and maybe Wales asking for membership

Good luck with that.Neither of those countries would meet EU membership requirements. In fact, without English support they.will cease.to.exist.

...and nobody likes the UK that much! ;

That is true and that will prove.to be.the undoing of The EU.
Trust me.It is on it's death ride.....

So I guess you will wait and hope in vain.

I don't think so.
The UK's success out of the EU will motivate the more powerful countries like Germany, France and NL to think more about leaving.
And The EU clearly does not work for Italy, which may be the next to leave.
The EU cannot survive if more of the larger contributing nations that support the poorer ones leave.
And if the poorer ones no longer see a benefit of being part of the union, they will leave too.
Nah, The EU is a dead concept... it is just a question of time before it dies an inglorious death.
An outdated concept borne out of WW2 that is well past it's sell by date and now stinks.

The EU is to big to fail

Hey BB, I am sure you are familiar with the old saying "The bigger they are, the harder they fall".

I cannot wait for the day that I am vindicated and The EU is abolished.
Because at that point, European countries will get together to form a free trade zone.... they could call it "The Common Market".
But this time round they will understand that trying to force this free trading zone into some sort of singular federal state, would be a mistake.
