The reasons of Polish pride?

You can't deny your heritage, so don't even bother trying!

I like Rich.
But he can say how much he.hates Poland and Poles.as.much as.he.likes.
And yet here is is, most days, posting on a.Polish forum.

You can't deny your heritage,

I don't even know what "heritage" is. So for now, the only fact I don't deny is where I was born - by accident, not choice - and that the first language I learned was Polish rather than American. That's it. The first chance I had, I corrected what was correctable. No, I don't hate Poland or the Poles. It's just a matter of compatibility.

And yet here is is, most days, posting on a.Polish forum.

99% in English and on the subjects that have nothing to do with Poland. In fact, posting in Polish is harder than I expected. That's how P2E google translator became my friend.

@Rich, for your further edification, "heritage" = dziedzictwo. Apparently, you don't even know basic English! LOL

Better than you. Your problem is your limited ability to detect nuance and your inability to recognize that others may be as fluent in English without being professorial about it.

Of course, I know what the word "heritage" means. I just reject the concept as anything I am bound to obey and follow under the rule: Once Polish, Polish forever.

There is too much pathos, poetry, bravery, and too many riddles in Polish heritage. That's why.

Sorry, Ptak. Nothing personal. We are just different.

Sarcasm meant to mask poor language skills, no doubt.
I also recognize true sarcasm when I see it.

No, you're angry at Poland for exclusively personal reasons and so are rationalizing your own frustrations by taking it out on the Poles, Poland, even the Polish language:-)

If I failed in my country, maybe I too would be angry at the US, hence at the English language. That too would also have everything to do with my own failures and little to anything to do with the US!

Just to the opposite. Sarcasm is an art and requires a good familiarity with the language foreigners do not have.

No, you're angry at Poland for exclusively personal reasons and so are rationalizing your own frustrations

No, I am not angry at Poland. At 25, I just looked at the list of countries and selected the best one with the best language.

The reasons of Polish pride?

Belonging to the Slavic civilization.

Belonging to the Slavic civilization

This is your biggest mistake and shows your ignorance of how Polish people think.
We are Slavs and most of us respect that history.
But Russians are Slavs too and they have done so much harm and destroyed any idea of a Slav union.
There is no Slavic unity and never will be until Russians change their ways.
Serbs will never gain any respect until they stop licking Russian arses.....

But Russians are Slavs too and they have done so much harm

You are correct. At the same time, it's a sad state of things that the anti-Russian feelings are still so strong considering that Poland and Germany are now able to coexist.

@Novichok
Germany doesn't arm itself to the teeth as much as possible, wandering from door to door with his arsenal at the slightest sound of trouble shooting up doors without knocking first and raping at every possible opportunity.

Germany spends money on buying necessary tools and food for his family and closest friends without necesarily sharing everything with everyone even tho he propagates that the entire neighbourhood is like a family to him and doesn't anymore fights. Peeps got something against Germany, his past and current behaviour but, he is working on it in a non-violent way.

Still being kind of authoritarian but, through different means. Which are far more acceptable or tolerable.

Your writing as if Russia is some kind of superstar cause Russians think of themselves like that, and try to play it out. Even one can see it's pure bullshit

I have 2 Ukrainian assistans. One of them is pro-EU but the second is pro-Putin. He even denies the existence of Ukraine. He draws his knowledge from RT and he can't be convinced it's just propaganda. And so is Nowi. He is smart but he is a lost soul. Lost for us, lost for demokracy and for western world. Bedauerlich.

I don't even know what "heritage" is.

Fine, move on. Why are you talking about it? All the time, given an opportunity you are harping about it. If you truly mean what you claim - move on. Stop talking about it.

If you ever talk about it again I will take it as a sign that you lie and you have big chip on your shoulder and you live in denial.

I have 2 Ukrainian assistans.

How long have they been in Deutschland?

denies the existence of Ukraine

This was an old Soviet line. I know someone who heard "we're really Russians" a lot from their parents while growing up in Soviet Ukraine in the early 1980s. After 2014 they became enthusiastic Ukrainian nationalists....

They are young people who have been in Germany for a few years. They are both smart but one is smarter. Luckily it's the one who likes EU.

Are you a German? Do majority of Germans still hate Slavic people and want to eliminate them? What are their feelings about Ukrainians? Regarding pro-Russian Ukrainian. Probably he and many other Ukrainians believe that better union with Russia than total isolation.

Do majority of Germans still hate Slavic people

Please!
Don't use that failed old argument to rope in Poles with Slavic people!
Poles know they are Slavs, but history shows us that are supposed brotherhood of Slavs are not our friends....get over it!

At work I have to judge people by their suitability and not political beliefs.

I used the car test. I would ask the applicant to show me his car. If I found old fast-food garbage on the floor, the interview was over.

@Novichok: car test was over.
My last test drive ended prematurely after 4 days because the car was out of order. It was Renault Arcana. It's a pity, it was a beautiful car, beautiful red.

Another reason to be proud if you are Polish...It's the maternal mortality rate - "as a criterion for the quality of medical care in a country".

According to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_maternal_mortality_ratio

...Poland - along with Belarus, Italy, and Norway - is in the top group with a maternal mortality rate of 2 per 100,000 live births. For comparison:

UK - 7
US - 19
Nigeria - 917

...as proof that money spent on healthcare does not necessarily mean better healthcare where it matters the most.

Well, well, and how is the childbirth mortality? Not so good I suppose.
Lyzko  41 | 9588
6 Jan 2022   #86
Why be proud of mortality? It sounds as though you wish for Polish mothers to expire during childbirth.
You got a screw loose, Richie?

Are you a moron, Lyzko? How about being proud that the maternal mortality rate in Poland is LOWER THAN ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!
Duh!

how is the childbirth mortality? Not so good I suppose.

You are correct but still not bad. Per 1000 births:

Singapore - 2.3 (the lowest)
Norway - 3.5
UK - 4.8
US - 6.2
Poland - 6.8
Angola - 180 (the worst)

So, in the West they do cesarean section earlier....
but Polish mothers are younger and healthier by first babybirth.
Novichok  5 | 7742
6 Jan 2022   #90
Whatever the explanation, those numbers testify well about Poland and Polish women.

Polish mothers are younger and healthier by first babybirth.

I was shocked when I saw the mortality numbers for women having babies at over 40 as compared to those 25 and under.
