Any information about Dziedzic Surname?

My fathers family is Dziedzic. Came here in 1912. Found info on Ellis Island and then Billions of Graves for other details can help. Ellis has pics of ship the manifest and other information. I was told that for our family the name was we owned property and had workers but when Poland was lost they saw writing on wall and came here. Today their town is actually just over border in Ukraine.

Is it possible we have the same Dziedzic family? The furthest back I can trace is my great grandfather who came from Tarnów, Małopolska. His name was Stanisław. I'm hoping to find out his family's parish so I can access church records and track down relatives still in Europe.

Anything anyone has of recent? My great grandmother has the surname "Jedziniak Dziedzic" - her mothers maiden name as "Chmura" and new married name as "Martin" - unsure where the double surname comes in
