why do I need to translate a Polish dish to a Polish forum?

Because we are read by foreigners who don`t speak Polish.
Besides, you have an opportunity to prove you know Polish. But you never take it. :):):)

Meatball soup

What is it??? There is no such a dish in the Polish cuisine.
Those ignorant Brits!! Sigh!

Vegetable and Meatball soup

That is exactly what it is although in Polish that dish is called Zupa jarzynowa z klopsikami.

Those ignorant Brits!

Do you know I'm getting really tired of reading non-stop insults and arguments on multiple threads. If you want to talk about ignoramuses look no further than Johnny who knows nothing about Poland. Milo contributes to Polish threads which is a lot more than some people on here do.

@johnny, actually, I haven't got a Polish translation program as yet. Am looking for one though:-)

Oh, yes! Fladra with a side of kapusta czerwona along with pyzy or barring that, placki ziemniaczne.
YUMMMMMMMY

It is your problem, not mine. Deal with it as a mature person I have always considered you to be. You came back to the forum after a longer break which means you are able to solve your issues on your own. :):):)

no further than Johnny

Leave johhny alone. Compared to Milo, he is a mine of information about Poland. :):):)

Milo

Discuss Polish issues with Milo, then, if he is so dear to your heart, and ignore me. Isn`t it simple??? :):):)

PS. What got into you??? Feeling down or sth??? :):):) Come on, it is spring, the sun shines and birds sing. Listen to their voices and relax. Life is beautiful . hahahaha

non-stop insults

Besides, when I called Milo an ignorant Brit it wasn`t an insult, just a neutral statement of a fact. I gave up on using insults against my opponents on Easter Sunday and have kept my private word since then. Ha!!!!

It is really amaSSing you are trying to meddle into the situation between him and me. Stay away from it, that`s the best thing you should do now. Ha!!!!

Zupa jarzynowa z klopsikami.

Never heard of it, let alone eaten the dish. Probably popular in another part of Poland which I haven`t visited too much. :):):)

Whoops, I meant "czerwona kapusta", sorry!
Occasionally I confuse the adjective order.
I realize there is a difference:-)

HaHaHa!!!! Jerry(Jerzy/Pawian), you are a complete moron!!!!

Tom(Jim/JR) knows nothing at all about Poland!

Especially for Tom (Jim/JR) according to Jerry (Jerzy/Pawian) an expert on \Polish culture....... HaHaHa!.....the "Expert on Polish Culture" will not understand a word of this!!!!

@pawian

Did you notice how your "Polish American" troll friend has not responded to any of my Polish spoken posts about food on here?

Are you not the least bit suspicious about his knowledge on all things Polish?
pawian  221 | 26014

Did you notice

No, I didn`t notice your post coz you made it much too late, before 2am. I work, contrary to you, after Brexit made you jobless. :):):)

Will you?? No, you won`t. You still can`t write the name of the dish in proper Polish and you exploit Fenix`s knowledge for that. e.g, in post 32. Pathetic.

Johnny who knows nothing about Poland.

You also said that I don't have a Polissh bone in my body and I ask you if you have ever had one in yours. 😋
Johnny lives in your head doesn't he. 💀👀 Hoot !
You fvcking Brits just can't help yourselves in diminishing other members can you.
It is a sure sign of the immature British superiority complex. Pathetic
No, you won`t. You still can`t write the name of the dish in proper Polish

Thats because he is British, Pawian, he only pretends to be Polish.
Here is a fun read:

You don't. even if you were sober enough to type Polish!

You fvcking Brits just can't help yourselves in diminishing other members can you.

You show your American inferiority complex all the time..... it's really quite pathetic.... Americans have nothing to feel inferior about, but I guess that's just you.......

Thats because he is British, Pawian, he only pretends to be Polish.

Now you have really gone nuts! Pawian, or Jerzy, as I prefer to call him, is 100% Polish.

Jim, you are nuts!

I like to find new/old Polish recipes here.
Instead we only find Off - Topic diminishments like above by the two nasty Brits.

Eventually, it always comes back to eating.

Interesting to see that even prisons in Florida know how good pierogi are:
Popular pierogi are healthful treats
...
Promoters say the little dumpling is making new friends among vegetarians, Iron Man triathletes and even prison inmates as a healthful and convenient food.

tampabay.com/archive/1990/03/08/popular-pierogi-are-healthful-treats-dumplings-uphold-national-pride/

This is certain to be good news for anybody facing a long stretch in a Florida jail.

Kompot!!!!

When in NYC in 1990 during the economic recession, I looked for a job as a waiter in various eateries. I also visited a Polish restaurant in Manhattan. They didn`t employ me but gave me their menu brochure as consolation. I read it all and found KOMPOT which amased me completely.
This year we have coped with the abundance of fruit including mini plums so I decided to make kompot. Very easy - just boil the fruit in sugared water. You can also add some spices like clove. Delicious!

I made a few gallons of it and put in the freezer.

I made kompot with red and yellow mini plums:

Guess what! Today I have taken out the last but one bottle. There were more than I showed in the photo above. But on hot days like the most are during this summer I drink a few litres of liquids.

kompot

How long would this keep in the fridge after making? I've had Kompot before but the smoky tasting one usually served at Xmas.

How long would this keep in the fridge after making?

10 days or even longer. If not refridgerated, it starts fermenting after 2 days.

plum brandy

I don`t make such strong alcohol. Only wine.

the smoky tasting one usually served at Xmas.

Made of prunes or dried pears. It is a bit different.

I will give this a go. Do you put spices in yours or just for Xmas Kompot?
pawian  221 | 26014

Only clove - two pieces per pot.
