Cihawoda 2 Jun 2009 #361There are so many to choose from in Poland. Do you count the "Nalewki" (vodka infusions) as vodka? For starters in the clear vodkas for me the real distinction is wheat, rye or potatoes. Given a choice I would always pick a vodka distilled from potatoes (Chopin, Luksusowa) over rye and wheat. Than it would be rye (Żytnia) and in the end Wyborowa.A revived old vodka called Siwucha (incompletely rectified vodka) is now being made by Polmos distillery in Zielona Góra - it is my favorite these days. Also worth trying are Imbrówka (ginger vodka) and Jarzębiak (rowan berry).Na Zdrowie (To Your Health)
jimmycrackcorn 8 Jun 2009 #362there is nothing great about being drunk. The buzz BEFORE getting drunk is good....relaxation and warmth. Idiots get drunk, then show their true colors. The real problem is in trying to keep that buzz going w/o getting drunk.
LAGirl 9 | 496 10 Jun 2009 #367Zubrowka is what my Polish boyfriend and I drink when we went to his house and after that hahaha.
Bess - | 1 11 Jun 2009 #368SOBIESKI...I'll have some right now!!! Local small town party store turned us on to it about 6 months ago. We love it and of course while the dollar is needing to be stretched these days, it makes for a money saver while doing the trick nicely.
