I love this forum - It's so Polish: tolerant, inconsistent, amusing

Well, you can love it for two weeks more. We are about $700 short of the sum required to keep PF alive, so in two weeks time it's bye bye. Enjoy the remaining two weeks folks, it was all nice while it lasted. Meanwhile, search the internet for other forums to troll. I already pity the board that Novichok joins--they won't know what hit them. xD

Narcissists have to be the center of attention all the time... that's where the weird compulsion to post on every single thread comes from.

One of the best resources on Poland in the English language. All shades of opinions too and different people's insight.

Now, people ask questions on crapola Facebook or Reddit threads. They take one look here and see the "all women are bìtches", "kill trannies", "kill blacks", "faggots have aids" and all the maga maga gun gun stuff and don't post. People in real life, new to Warsaw, have said this to me.

In a thousand years time, AI robots will be studying the history of the early internet and see that this was a great thing destroyed by a nasty old git.

When we lose this forum because most people don't care about putting regularly something in don't blame it on one of the few regulars who actual has fun butting heads and keeping this whole thing alive.

I miss the old bbs system where forums ruled and every sort of forum had a diff discussion topic but you had to register individually ba how Reddit does it or twitter x. The modern day versions of the discussion board of old. BTW Jon ur message box is full.

PS: Didn't Admin said something about switching over to a more cheaper alternative? What happened with that???

Almost all of us do that. There's a difference between decent discussion and utterly nihilistic behaviour and a declared intent to trash threads.

He would t behave like that in real life. Humans self regulate within groups and smack people like that in the mouth. If they don't learn, society excludes them.

It's not an excuse BB - once the admin do that then I will donate no questions asked.

Anyway, the costs of running this forum seem way higher than another forum that I have contributed to. Circa four times higher.

Technically, after some script customization, it'd be possible to move all posts from a certain user to a dedicated thread automatically. The costs, as BB mentioned, will be a little lower starting this year.

I don't like the basic idea behind it....that every poster has to conform or else! Don't like it one bit!

None of us conform much. Yet in society, those who cross certain lines involving insanity and aggression get a smack in the kisser or get locked up.

Decent human behaviour has boundaries though and this is a discussion forum and a resource on Poland, not bloody 4Chan.

Because my experience is when you talk with him seriously he answers seriously back....at one point though people started throwing insults, and nobody seems to be able/willing to stop and start fresh.....

I had to guess I would say the Limey Lounge way back when.
Those school teachers thought they were the brightest bulbs in the box.

Wow, this really escalated from my post #271.

I only mentioned Novi tongue in cheek - saying that a board that he will join won't know what hit them. I am all for freedom of speech, even if it means freedom to be an arsehole sometimes (and I'm not a saint myself either).

What I wanted to achieve was to remind and maybe encourage more people to chip in for PF, the place that has been our digital meeting place for many years now, but I can see that the donation counter is still at $1710, so it looks like I failed successfully.

If only 20 people gave measly ten bucks every month, we would have the bloody $2400 in a year. We don't have it, so we are either a bunch of miserly pr*cks, Bangladeshi shoe salesmen or we just don't care about the place that much - take your pick.
