Hmm, interesting... Judging by the job description and the location (MacDill Air Force Base)... Is it some kind of an OSINT job? 🤔

OSINT

If they require security clearance, I'd guess it isn't OSINT.

@jon357, what could it be then? The job description seems somewhat vague, so I wonder... 🤔

The job description seems somewhat vague

I'm pretty sure that's deliberate.

what could it be then

Perhaps best not to discuss here since the US is on our side however I'd guess the company is a public-sector contractor. I've a good idea what the job is about. Nothing especially controversial. Basically analysis work. Unusual to see it advertised like that.

It's a bit cack-handed to say the least to mention security clearance in an ad (never mind giving specifics!!!!!) and it looks like whoever is recruiting isn't doing it very well.

Yeah? Huh... This job offer and other similar ones from other companies are on LinkedIn, Lensa and indeed and they mention security clearance, so it looks like it's normal, I guess...

they mention security clearance

Do they advise bringing clothes with elasticated waists?

@Barney, no, they don't... Why? o_O

The fine cuisine of the good old USA would require loose fitting clothes ;)

Perhaps for them. Certainly not elsewhere.

Could you imagine PL or UK doing it like that and specifying the level of security clearance? How many public-sector people even know their security clearance level unless it affects a specific day to day activity?

*rolls eyes"

Well...:

nabory.kprm.gov.pl/mazowieckie/warszawa/specjalista,128363,v7

"Poświadczenie bezpieczeństwa do informacji niejawnych oznaczonych klauzulą "tajne" UE secret, NATO secret lub zgoda na poddanie się postępowaniu sprawdzającemu"

uk.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=36616f2e5b5f12d0

"This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post."

:)

And I'm pleased to see that the UK ad is exactly I said.

Much more discreet.

:)

@jon357, in what way the UK ad is "much more discreet"? It actually looks more detailed and specific than the American ad.

We're talking about a job ad in Florida. You suggested it might be OSINT which it doesn't appear to be,

We're talking about a job ad in Florida.

Well, you started comparing it with recruiting in Poland and the UK, so... :)

You suggested it might be OSINT which it doesn't appear to be

I asked and it was the job description that made me think that it could be OSINT (the "WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING" part):

in Poland and the UK

And I'm pleased to see that the UK is still more careful about clearance.

OSINT

It could have aspects of that however there are a couple of other clues. There is certainly analysis involved.

@jon357, are you having a stroke or something? :)))

I asked you a simple question. Can you answer it like a normal human being? 🙄

@jon357, this is a really lame behaviour on your part. You've just descended to johnny_reb's level. You were wrong and it looks like you're not mature enough to admit it. Pity.

@jon357, that's the thing - you don't say anything - you're just trying to insult me and as result you're showing what a immature a$$hole you are :)))
