Love / Polish Womens bodies [126]

Western women should take lessons and improve their appearance according to polish standards in order to keep up to competition

are you serious? why the **** should we? there are beautiful women of all races.. sorry, but I dont need to take lessons from any nationality on how to improve my appearance and neither should any woman. Beauty is not a competition, but is in the eye of the beholder and also from within.. something that no amount of face creams and make up and fancy clothes can buy you.

I can only hope that your touch is as pleasant to the women you mention as it is to you.

Love / Polish attitude towards sex [194]

still considering your job offers in the UK then? Sorry I dont know how much they are paid, but Im sure you can find details by a online search. I know you have to take drugs to stop you getting an erection when you are performing. There are also kissograms... who dress up as policeman etc.... for birthdays and stuff.

Love / My Polish boyfriend never says 'l love you' to me, what should i do? [93]

Moire, you seem to be an attractive, intelligent woman so why are you acting like a dmoormat in order to make him love you. As you rightly said, you cannot force someone to love you. He would respect you more if you thought about what you want out of life (apart from him). I think you need to really listen to what he is telling you and not be selective in your hearing.. I understand that you love him, but in my opinion he may care deeply about you, but he doesnt see himself with you in the longer term, so why waste time. My boyfriend is also Polish and he tells me he loves me several times a day.. of course all men are different and sometimes actions can speak louder than words.. but listen carefully to his words. Only you can make the decision, but in my opinion you deserve someone better who will respect your education and ambition.

there are plenty of jobs for male strippers if youve got the body for it... and yes, girls can be arrested for even going topless on a public beach

Love / Question: Do Polish girls prefer married men? [59]

I am sorry to hear this sad story and I understand that its much easier for you to blame it all on the girl, particularly since you and your husband are back together.. however, have you thought that it might have been him pursuing her and promising her that you guys were through etc... if she is younger, then she may be more naive about relationships than you make her out to be. It is your husband who has done wrong here.. yes, she must have little morals to start an affair with him when she is also friendly with you, but perhaps he was the pursuer and she the victim, although of course she could have resisted.. sorry, Im sure I wont win many friends for saying this, but I'm just trying to present a different angle. we all want to blame the other party as it is often easier than face the truth. anyway, having said this.. I wish you success and hope you will be happy and be able to regain the trust in your marriage, which isnt an easy thing to do

Quote . Today, 05:17 . #73

It is unfair because an exhibinionist man who shows his genitalia in public will go to jail

not if he is paid to do it he wont.

Love / What does a Polish guy expect from a relationship? [54]

in my experience Polish men can be possessive and jealous of friendships outside of the relationship... but of course all men are different and maybe yours isnt like that... good luck anyway

Love / I cheated on my girlfriend (I'm British, my gf is Polish) [167]

with regard to polygamous marriages.. Ive met men in different parts of Africa with as many as 13 wives.. although its more normal to have 2 to 4: this is accepted as it is the cultural norm.. the only problem is that the more women you have, the more expensive it is.. although of course there are more hands to work on the land, fetch water, cook etc.. in case you may be thinking otherwise I met them purely in a business capacity, not that I was looking to become one of them.

With regard to the original post and subsequent comments, I think that both sexes are capable of forgiving, depending upon the individual, but its true that no-one can forget. From my own experience I could say that some Polish women, might know about an affair, but choose to ignore it for the sake of keeping their husband, or even tolerate a period of absence from the family home, so long as the husband eventually returned to them. This seems to be especially true of older generations, but of course I am generalising here.

Anyway, good luck to the orginal poster.

UK, Ireland / polish food in UK Tesco's [28]

in response to the original question (well kind of) Sainsburys has recently developed a range of Polish foods, similar to those found in local shops and its cheaper than the local Polish shops in my area. I have heard that Tesco either already has or is planning to do the same, but I dont personally use Tesco so havent seen it for myself and dont know if its ready yet. Heinz is currently developing a Polish range too, but under a different name.

Love / English girl in love with polish boy. Can this work? [22]

I am an English girl with Polish boyfriend.. we live in the UK and he didnt speak much English when we met, even though he had been here for 4 years.. now we live together and his English is much better... so of course it can work, if you both want it to. However, dont forget its not only the language thats different, the cultural differences can be huge too.

News / March of Tolerance in Krakow [478]

Interesting discussion.. Well said Dec and Giles.. I truly believe that those who are the most homophobic often have hidden issues surrounding this which causes them to act in such an ignorant bigotted manner... as for the Catholic Church, well I agree with the last post..and to all you homophobes out there, open your mind.. you dont have to want to participate yourself, but please remember we are all human beings and being gay is not a lifestyle choice, but rather a fact of life for many...so why shouldnt they celebrate it.

News / Man from Zakopane who cut off his own genitals [53]

OK you may be wondering why Im reviving this thread..well I read in the paper yesterday that a Polish guy living here in London went into a restaurant on Sunday, grabbed a knife and jumped on a table and chopped off his huje.. in full view of other diners.. apparantly drs have now reattached it.. but it just makes me wonder WHY???? I know its not only Poles who do this, so perhaps its just these ones Im noticing.

UK, Ireland / Wages - UK and Ireland. [26]

you can work on an average of 2 US Dollars to £, its slightly less than this, but that will make it easier.. so if you just double the sterling figures you should get an apx. dollar equivalent. I dont know about US property tax, but council tax is payable by everyone in the UK (exceptions are students, OAPS etc.) regardless of whether you are a homeownder or not and the amount payable per year (normally paid every month) is dependant upon the size and location of your property. In London for example, the council tax varies depending upon which borough you live in. The money you pay is supposed to pay for things like rubbish collection, maintenance of streets, parks, etc. etc............... I agree about prices for construction/decorating work if you get paid an hourly rate... however if you have some experience and can find your own jobs you can fix your own price and can make decent money.. although this is all down to contacts so you need to set up your own business and make some contacts first.

tell her you are emigrating to a far away place forever... or alternatively just ignore her emails.. if you dont respond to her she will soon get the message... harsh, but true.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

In the US it seems as some teens aren't even getting abortions. They're too scared, so they just kill the baby. One was just found last week in a black garbage bag on her back porch. Do these sort of derranged things happen often in the UK or PL?

It does happen in the UK, but I dont think its very common to kill the baby. Its much more common to leave the baby on a doorstep of a church or hospital or even a bus shelter, most are found before they die and are either reunited with their mothers or taken into care.. most of the mothers are teenagers.

UK, Ireland / Wages - UK and Ireland. [26]

london rent seems to be £60-70 average

per week? that would most likely be sharing a room, not just a flat. An average rent for a small room in a house share in a cheaper area of London is around £300-350 pcm.. I do know Polish people who pay less but they generally live 2 to 3 per room..and of course you do get what you pay for.

As for people working for less than the minimum wage.. the reason that they accept this is that these jobs are often cash in hand, which means they avoid paying tax and can often end up with more per week than with a legal job. Truthfully I dont know many Polish people in London who do pay tax, well not regularly anyway. My partner couldnt believe it when I showed him how much tax and National Insurance I paid per month. The benefits of working legally are that you will be entitled to benefits should you fall out of work etc.........

Travel / Hikers from Poland [8]

I think Polish is easier to understand than it is to speak.. well in my case anyway.. its easy enough to spot Polish people in London.. you just listen for coorvah, coorvah, coorvah match..which is pretty much every other word for certain types of builder blokes on the bus or tube.
