My gf was at work on her own this morning. She works in a small shop in a town close to Olesnica. When the shop was empty a guy came in (she had never seen him before), introduced himself as an American and told her he could help her make lots of money. He started to ask her some personal questions i.e are you a good catholic girl? Do you have a bf/husband? Do you like sex? She only replied that she has a bf and is catholic.

He then told her that he would give her lots of money if she wanted sex with him and started to describe exactly what he wanted including videoing the 'action'. This scared her (obviously). He left when a regular customer came in, but said that he would be back and asked if she had any friends as beautiful as her. Thorughout she told him she wasnt interested.

Anyone else know of anything like this?
Its quite scary that a naive girl could agree to his proposal.

Its an opinion based on 25 years of living in these areas and seeing first hand the rise in chav/lazy/dole scrounging english culture. And hearing/experiencing the appreciation of many farmers, land owners and factory managers for the harder working, punctual foreign worker.

Did you see the programmes last year on abattoirs? Several of the supervisors/managers commented on the benefits of employing a foreign worker over an engligh person.

The wage debate is simple economics. If someone can do the job to the same standard for less money (within the law) then it is obvious who is going to be employed. Thats why the government setup the minimum wage, gangmasters act and other schemes to ensure that the system is fairer.

The BBC programme was very relevant for the areas which have had the highest percentage of foreign inmmigrants. Areas in the east of England such as Peterborough, Lincolnshire and the fens have experienced a greater change than most. Look at the towns of these areas, where the work is mostly manual labour, and you will find more than their fair share of work shy, dole scrounging, lazy English young people. The immigrants in these areas are known to be hard working (especially the Polish) and that is why the employers actively seek them over the 'natives'.

In areas which are less effected, middle class wanabee, Daily Mail reading "Mr Smith" is obviously going to have a different opinion.

My gf will be moving to be with me in England next year(!) but needs some certification to prove she has adequate english skills so that she can get a job in her profession.

I got myself an orange international PAYG sim card (£1 to buy or free with a £10 top-up), put into an old phone and now pay 16p a text. Doesnt seem a lot but when your monthly text bill to Poland hits £80 it saves a bit!

Polish kids 'Harming native British childrens education' is quite simply bollocks

Depends upon the area and what requirements the child/ren have.
Some schools now are having to produce and/or employ someone to produce learning materials for the polish children that have recently started at schools and have no knowledge of the english language. This of course is another expense on the already limited budget of a school. And the knock-on effect could possibly be deterimental to the english children in the classes.

This is of course true for an child who does not speak english entering the UKs education system.
I remember in Nottingham the council having to produce leaflets in 13 different languages with further languages being available upon request.
The money has to come from somewhere.

It is a crime. However sensible physical discipling of a child by an adult is not.
There are pros and cons and examples of each on both sides of the argue. While the law allows parents to use their discretionary discipliary powers to spank their own child it is their choice and we cannot challenge that.

Think thats bollox. I was hit as a child, but only when i had done something wrong. I knew what the punishment was and duly deserved it. Never in my life have i been in a proper fight or hit someone in anger, because i was brought up the right way.

There is a difference between a beating and a few smacks to discipline an unruly child.

Yesterday, Channel 4 had a interesting episode of "A place in the sun: home or away" with a woman wanting to move to Krakow but her sister wanting her to stay in London. Comparing prices and quality of property there was not a contest to which city won. She could get a tiny 1 bedroom flat in an ok London area or a impressive 3 bedroom flat + large bathroom + garden + maintenance team for half the price in Krakow. She moved to Krakow.

Programmes like this will only increase the number of Brits that are likely to move in Poland as they realise that their money goes further and the lifestyle is slower.

People put on weight by consuming more calories than they burn up. Very simple. Doesnt really matter what food it is (as long as it isnt pure fat!). I would have thought it is more to do with lifestyle than consumption.
