I don't want to offend you, when I write "Americans" I mean especially the "American government" that is to blame. But it's also "average American's" fault because he or she elected the people who govern the country.

Americans have been duped/victimized/terrorized/fooled by their own governments and political system, and it lasted for the last 100 years. But I should say that there is probably something more powerful, a group of people/families who have the power over the governments in USA and they pull the strings, but that's another story. The bottom line is that they created a system in which the American society only have illusional power (called "free, independent elections").

One of the biggest problems of America is that they only have two major parties, it is unbelievable that 200+ millions of people can share only views of two parties. In Poland that have 38 million of people there are always at least 3-6 parties that have different opinions on crucial matters. If party members of one party screw something up, the next day you hear it in the media. In USA the political system is SCAM and in fact Democrats and Republicans are like two cousins who play the same game, only from time to time pretend they have different views. It's like there were only two jurors in court, would anybody believe their sentence? No, that's why there are always several jurors who cannot be bribed or influanced by each other. With two parties no matter over the last 100+ years, everything has been set up between them. If there were at least 3 or 4 different parties that influence in Congress, it would not be that easy for US government to commit fraud and manipulate the media.

Americans are the victims of their political system, so proud called "Democracy." It's high time for them to change this monolith and allow more independent people manage their lives.

Regarding the question, Poland is not the 51st state of America and likely won't be. Poland's geopolitical situation doesnt' interest America, Poland has no resources, is in EU, is close to Russia, so there is no way it could be another state. If Poland had oil or gas like Russia, that would be a different story.

I know it to and as workers Polish people in Poland have a lot to learn from Americans. You are on a Polish forum because you know here people have independent views and you can learn from them. But 99% of Americans take an easy way and take what controlled media feeds them. That is pity, if Americans took more active action and don't rely on their "e-zy" remote controls or koolaid provided by media or their government, they would vote for people who can do something about this pitfall.

So I don't blame Americans as people, I know many of them and they are good and hard working people, but I blame that more of them don't stop and think a little out of the box and get rid of their remote controls just like you did by being on this forum.

Mr Tusk plays political game too. He wants to be perceived as a strong politican who fights until the last blood for Poland interest. But in fact the game is long over and the military base will be in Poland. You probably watch too much FOX or CNN news which wash your brains on their own agenda. American politics is predatory politics. They live and prosper only during world conflicts, if there is peace USA go bankrupt. They provide armor to both sides of the fighting countries, even if politically they are connected with agreements with one of them. After attacking one country and spending 10 billion on military action, then they capitalize on it by getting 20 billion contracts to rebuild the attacked county. War is business for them, good business. Then rasing 0.4 billion in 50 years on something is nothing in compare to what they gain on just one miliatry conflict.

Microsoft, Google, and other monopolits also have their "charities" just because it is good Public Relation strategy that's all. It makes people like you who watch controlled media to believe thes companies are great and it's proud to call them "American companies."

It's the same with US government, it's BUSINESS sponsored by tax payers money. From time to time good PR campaign is needed to justify spending, to justify killing of thousands of innocent people. You should know better.

Visas are the last populistic (among politicians) thing Poles would want from USA and that is why US try to keep this as their last carrot. But actually those who really want to go to US can go there now.

"Poles complain and don't abide by rules" - it's much worse if the society just follows the government agenda and prepared TV news like the Americans do. Then they allow to be terrored by their own government and kill thousands of their people like during 911.

"That's how many Poles operate: what is there for me." - give me a break, so americans are altruistic society that doesn't care about their own ass? If you are about to die, go to an american hospital, if you don't show them you have insurance or enough money to justify an expensive operation, you just die by the hospital door. Americans allow war in Iraq/Afganistan, and soon in Iran, they gladly pay to sponsor these wars and thousands of innocent casualties in the name of their bloody and populistic ******** democracy. I mean that now all important economic, social, and political decisions of Poland are made in the context of Poland being an unimportant cousin of EU. Poland is bound by so many tractacs and law agreements now that it has very limited economic or political moves, even if they were good for the Polish society. They count Polish sheep and cows of individual, small Polish farmers just to get maximum taxes from them. Moreso, now Poland pays huge EU member fees and will pay such fees (could be called "EU tax") for many years to come. Who needs that?

The worst part is if there is really economic danger and one of the countries (like Russia at one point) doesn't like Poland for some reason, there is little Germany or other EU members would do to protect Poland. It's funny that some big EU countries (Germany, France, UK) have so good "friendship" with countries outside EU (which can give them good benefits or trades, like Russia or USA) so that means EU as a whole is built on paper foundation. They would send delegates to talk, but no EU country would really fight for Poland economically, not to mention militarily. Would Germany or France send troops to Poland and die for Poland if Poland was attacked or to protect Poland's economic status? I seriously doubt that.

That's what I think too. So why wait, the EU foundations have recently been weakened. Russia would probably like the move and the trade with Russia (especially for strategic goods like gas or oil) could increase.

Which Polish party would be most likely to pull the strings? PiS, PO, or a completely new party would have to emerge, something very radical?

Now when I think about it it would make sense - Poland received money from EU (Germany) to catch up to the other EU countries, but that should count as a compensation for Poland's destruction in WW2. So actually Poland is not a borrower of EU anymore and no military or economic action would be justified.

After 2 terms of Bush as president it is only totally insane to even waste a vote for McCain. It's just unacceptable, McCain would continue this bushshit. You probably still believe in the official story of 911 and then I know it may make sense for you to vote for him. Here is the true story, video.

How many billions of dollars was wasted for the war? Do you still want other billions wasted? How much money will your lower taxes save you? Probably less than you have to spend more now for gas thanks to the Bush administration. You are told you pay less taxes, but pay more for everything else - would you still happy about that? Or just the feeling that you pay less taxes is enough to vote for them.

Obama is more against the easy black life than Clinton who supports the unemployed. Obama wants them to get their arse and work just like he did.

Another thing - him as a president would do a lot more good in this "black" issue. Now when a black man is a president, they would not have an excuse they had no chances in life and are crippled from the start just because they are black. "Are you black? - great, you can be a president too!" would be my answer to them.

Voting for Hillary just because she is a woman is a wasted vote, just like voting for McCain.

That's even worse for the general public. Smart politician = even more fraud money for her and her advocates.

Obama is a little outsider, but he is clearly a better choice for America. Yet another "know-how insider" in Washington (H. Clinton) is way too much. When you think about it, only two families have been in the white house since 1980 when the Bush'es father was a vice-president. Since then Bush and Clinton familes governed the US. Now we see the consequences. Besides, what is this supposed to be, a family monarchy?

I don't understand why so many Poles in USA are for McCain. I think these are mostly uneducated people who only judge people by the appearances and have no idea about politics or the political programs (McCain appears to be a "decent" guy, one with whom it would be possible to drink vodka, and for some reason Poles like that). Other than that, Polonia think the Republicans are those who are "church goers and Christians or at least believers" and that they don't kill unborn children, but this is complete nonsense too. All in all, in the past 100 years, the Democrats were the ones for the people and their well-off and when the Republicans were on top, the country started unnecessery wars and self-terrorism.

The very best choice would be an alternative, independent candidate (Jesse Ventura or Ron Paul for example), but that's not going to happen in this country unless there's social and moral revolution.

For Hilary Clinton, as she expressively said, human rights are LESS IMPORTANT than the national security (or constant "war on terror" to terrorize its own citizen, as it currently goes with what Bush administration is doing).

That disqualifies her completely not only as a president, but also as a human being.
