Law / KRUS - Farmer's Insurance Question and Help [10]

I checked that and looks like everyone, who owns more than 1 hektar przeliczeniowy of farming land and doesn't pay ZUS (as an employee or a business owner) MUST pay KRUS.

There could be some special cases but looks like the one above is a general rule.

History / Any apologies about Sikorski's 'murder'? [95]

That proves nothing as It is unknown If the crash was an accident or not. Besides... ugly crea... If you had to apologize for the racist sh*t you spread here that would have to take you whole days.

Life / Protestant Churches in Tricity?? [9]

A lot of Catholic churches all over the world require couples to do a few weeks 'classes' with them before-hand, but if this can be avoided it would be best.

A few banknotes should solve the problem...

Now, is the above mentioned ID card a dowod osobisty?

Yes.

And I still need it in addition to my passport? For what purpose?

Well, If police is controling somebody then that's usually the first thing they ask about, If you want to buy alcohol and don't look much older than 18 then they may ask for dowód, just like when you want to open a bank account or do a thousand other things - in most cases you should be able to do that with a passport only, in some countries people don't have IDs so we probably wouldn't die without them either but every Polish citizen older than 18 and living in Poland must have It. Generally in Poland there's a big "dokument ze zdjęciem" fetish - you need one (a different one of course) If you want to go to a doctor, borrow a book from the library and often even to buy a monthly bus ticket.

History / Polish Anti-semitism - origins? [186]

What about the polish-bolshevik war of 1919-1921 when the polish jews helped the russians identify (for the purpose of elimination) the polish intelligensia in the parts of poland that fell into russian hands in the beginning of the war???????????????? And everyone wonders why the incidents @ jedwabne, łomża etc. ocurred...

Not much to do with 19-21, much more with 39-41.

Shlomo Morel, still lives in peace in Israel

Actually he died a year or two ago, without any punishment of course.

SO WHY IS THEIR SIGNS UP IN POLAND THAT IRISH PEOLPLE ARE NOT WELCOME? : BUILDING FIRMS IN POLAND ARE ADVERTISING FOR CONSTRUCTION STAFF REQUIRED WITH A FOOTNOTE THAT SAYS: Irish need not apply?

That was nonsense... one Polish company in the Northern Irealnd did that. First of all there are no Irish construction workers looking for a job in Poland.

History / Polish Anti-semitism - origins? [186]

The way I see it is that it seems to be no matter how or in what tone one talks about issue such as what happened in Jedwabne, the same primitive reaction occurs.

Excuse me ?

Hmm I've found something like this:

(based on information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration)

Basically, Social Security number is transmitted " from the office " . entitled to :

* Polish nationals registered for permanent residence or temporary over two months and niezameldowanym who apply for an ID card ( at the request of the competent authority of the municipality )
* Foreigners registered for permanent residence or temporary over two months having a residence ( at the request of the competent authority of the municipality )
* Niezameldowanym Polish citizens and foreigners who are in the territory of the Republic of Polish social insurance or health ( at the request of the payer insurance premiums ) ,
* Polish citizens living abroad , applying for a passport ( at the request of the Polish consul ) .

Where separate provisions need to have a social security number by certain persons , the minister responsible for public administration may give them your Social Security number on their written request .

And according to that everybody getting Polish passport is also getting PESEL... But I remember that when Rostowski became a finance minister (he was born and lived before in the UK) there was a big news that he doesn't even have PESEL and It was confirmed, so looks like It's possible to have a passport and no PESEL.

Generally PESEL ia an 11 digit number, where first 6 shows your date of birth... for example If somebody was born on 15th December 1981 then PESEL is 811215 + 5 other numbers like 11766 or something... so check If ever gotten something like this, together with a passport maybe... and If not then probably you don't have It.

History / Polish Anti-semitism - origins? [186]

Jedwabne is all about death, betrayal and lies.

Actually I agree with that... And that pieace of hateful, crappy text perfectly show why "some" needed to exaggerate the whole thing 20 times and promote It without any historical context.

History / Polish Anti-semitism - origins? [186]

Joedmowski: What Gross searched and wrote about was mostly confirmed by investigation done after.

Really ? Gross is a zoological Polonophobe, who made a career spreading hate and chuvanism. The "1600 victims" or "burnt in the barn" are total nonsense, there wasn't even that many Jews over there and If you look at typical Polish barn from that time you will realize that you can't fit in 1600 people even If they were standing at each others heads up to the roof. The only "eyewitness" Gross quote was proved to be deep in Russia when that happened and there are documents saying about deportation of large number of Jews from that area to the camps... a year after they all were killed and burnt by Polish beasts... Besides how the hell a similar number of Poles (like Grosz claims - half of town killed the other, Jewish half) could just like that easily kill similar number of Jews ? They really would have to be sub-humans... What happened in Jewdwabne was a revenge for collaboration in Soviet genocide for the previous 2 years, which maybe went a bit too far but one couldn't really expect anything else in that situation. And during official investigation only a few dozens of bodies were found (in a place where there should be 1600 according to Gross) and then there was a huge world wide oy vey that the investigation must be stopped because It's not kosher and so on...

during the centuries as Poles were subjugated to Germans and Russians

Which centuries ?

Life / Applying for EU passport... [51]

Does that mean when I marry her, I can apply for the EU passport and work in London?

No and yes... To apply for a Polish passport you need to be married at least 2 years I think and... I'm not sure but I think that It's when you live in Poland during these 2 years... Use the search engine, there were many similar threads, so there should be some info. But If you are married with EU citizens then there shouldn't be any serious problems with work and most of stuff except things like voting etc.

Law / Setting up a Chinese Language School in Poland - good business idea? [41]

I was being told that Japanese is more popular than Chinese in Poland. I dont know if this is right.

I would say no but I'm not really sure. Both are still very unpopular, that's for sure.

I would say it is - Japanese culture in Europe is much more fashionable than Chinese culture

That's true but kids, who like manga or samurais are not going to learn Japanease... and within the next years the number of people seriously interested in learning Chinese will most probably be much bigger than in case of Japanese.

That's not the point. "Rounds" are just stupid, some people drink faster, some slower...

History / Poland and Lithuania [161]

Germans lived in Wroclaw for longer.
You say it is "their" country?

Not much longer... No, of course It's not their country - there's more Vietnamise there than Gerries. Besides, which country ? Last time I checked Wrocław was a city.

I think you would feel threatened also if another country had such a narrow view and wanted Warsaw.

Which country ? Which narrow view ? Show me any hostility of Poland toward Lithuania after they regained independence.

I am trying to get you to understand that Lithuanians do not like Poles

These few Poles, who have any interest in Lithuania know that... but I don't get your point... It is our fault that they don't like us ? In my opinion they are a young country and need to grow up, If in 15-20 years they won't give up that shit then we should fuck them hard.

That is silly.

What is silly ? I wanted you to explain your point.

And finally we agree, more or less, I would add that the "Polish" people in Vilnius also need to grow up.

Maybe, I don't know, that's not really my poblem, these people are Lithuanian citizens and Lithuanians out of their own internal problems are making anti-Poland shit.

History / Poland and Lithuania [161]

It was not long ago when the Polish army took Vilnius claiming it to be Polish

It was Polish.

People who refuse to assimilate and look down on the natives that they share this land with are no good in my book.

They are natives there, living there since generations, often centuries, much longer than most of Lithuanians in the Wilno area.

they just want money and have too much power in this country.

How do they have "too much power" ? And what would you do to reduce their "power" ? Ban them from administration ? Make Polish illegal ?

I would think you would not be so accommodating if there were such a large and strong members of Russia or Germany having control of your capital?.
I will keep making this comparison of the "Poles" in Lithuania with another country in Warsaw until you recognise what I mean.

Sorry but that's nonsense. There are not many Russians or Germans in Warsaw... because they just don't live here ! But there are many Gerries in rural Opole area, they have their own schools, dual language local administration etc. I definately don't love that tribe but I don't see any problem with that. These people were born there, like their parents, grandparents etc.

Generally Polish opinion about Lithuanians is more or less like "can't say much about them but I think they are OK", however Lithuanians have a serious Polish complex, many of them seriously think that Poles have nothing better to do than plan how to dominate Lithuania. They should grow up.
