What Poland thinks about China [27]
Ni how,
Polish view, here it comes. I thought China was a dreary place, communist, bicycles, uniforms, etc. Two years ago, I took a train from Warsaw to Beijing. Shock on arrival. Fantastic city. Clean, modern, very safe, no drunks, honest taxi drivers(70,000 taxis in Beijing), excellent subway, polite people, and food beyond description. I could go on only in superlatives. Then I went last year, and am going again this year in September.
If you ever decide to go, bring a large suitcase and put your toothbrush in it, that's all you will need. If you need a suit made, or a silk dress for ladies just bring a picture from a fashion magazine, you will have one in two days and you will be looking like James Bond in no time.
One of he most fantastic things I saw were the Chinese acrobats. I can never look at the Olympic gymnasts the same way again; they seem so stiff now.
Another thing. No tattoos, piercings, women with the most beautiful hair and skin, I think they get wrinkles when they turn 90, and then they are in excellent condition anyway.
Since I'm rambling, I will mention watching the Paraolympics last year, ticket - about 5 dollars.
