Sean whatever you have you can't compete with Poland just like Polan can't compete with rural Russia and Belarus.

Also one more thing, safety.

In US there were minorities and some white places where you were afraid to go, same with UK, no such thing in Poland, it must be the safest country i've been to.

Um, Aberdeen Angus is widely regarded as the best beef in the world. Many Americans and Canadians agree. I was in Sannomiya, Kobe. I went to one of the best beef places in town and I told the guy that I was from Aberdeen, Scotland. When I said that, he immediately said that it was 'kare no ichiban no gyuuniku, sekai de'. In English, his favourite beef and the best in the world. Quite a compliment from a man that works with the best beef in Asia.

Poland doesn't have beef and lamb to compete with Scottish offerings. Also, game birds are game birds so you don't hold the edge there either.

no. They boil, roast or bake their meat to death on top of that.

Exactly! No question of how you'd like it done, LOL. Anyway, this is supposed to be positive. I like Scottish cold cuts but Poland really excels in the area of wędliny. It can be pricey but you know where your money goes.

I only have one thing to say to you, Sok, Aberdeen Angus :) :)

Exactly!

I'm sorry I know this is supposed to be a positive thread but I cannot understand anyone preferring Polish meat over e.g. British or Irish - it's the best in the world, simple as. Irish and British beef and lamb is prized all over the world where, incidentally it is exported. Only Argentina are serious contenders. US beef can be good but you have to be careful as it is wildly inconsistent.

Didn't have a problem with Polish beef at all as it happens but it was as unremarkable as e.g. Dutch or French IMO.

Red meat I'm talking about only - open verdict on pork or chicken ; )

Agreed. The chicken is inferior in Scotland though - Poland really does have excellent chicken. But beef? It's a struggle, and pricey.

Weird really, you'd think that with such a large dairy sector, they'd be able to produce beef, but clearly not...

The important distinction is from what is just called meat in Scotland but should be called cold cuts and proper meat. I prefer the wędliny here in Poland. However, the meat from Britain and Ireland tastes better for me.

Argentinian beef is great too but Wagyu beef from Kobe is right up there too.

I've had some good venison in Poland but I can't find it in too many places.

But beef? It's a struggle, and pricey.

The only beef ive had in Poland that tastes good fried rare is fillet, all the other cuts are tough as old army boots. I think its something to do with the hanging procedure or lack of, they just butcher, packet and sell. Its OK boiled but i want steak damn it.

Turkey is my favorite meat here, lovely.

Eggs, im lucky to have neighbors with chickens they use our land and eat our worms and pay us with fresh eggs.

Some eggs here are really tasty :) Turkey is good, that's true enough! Do you have a steak joint up in Wrocław, WB?
