12 month car insurance for cars on UK registration

I saw in the archives that some time ago that someone had found a broker in the UK who offered to insure UK registered cars insurance with European cover for an unlimited period. Saga used to do this but no longer do
Does anyone know if this is still available at a reasonable cost?

It used to be easier/possible before the UK left the EU. Now it's not that easy. Still, 12 month is considered long term; you could likely get something up to 3-6 months as a traveler, but more than that may not be possible at this time.

But they'll want the car taken back to UK every year for an MOT. Also, I think that residency permit holders can't drive foreign registered cars here for more than six months.
