Where is good Hotel near Morasko for meteorite collecting?

Hey, at Morasko a meteorite hit some thousand years ago. There are several big craters around and many fragments of the impactor ca still be found. Most of the stuff is already in Germany and i think so far 250 kg has been found there since 2014.

Is there any bigger town near MOrasko where there is a hotel with german standards? (not some shabby motel ect).

How is law there regarding metal detactors ect?

Im just 24, was never in Poland before but would really like to visit that place and look if i can find something.

This piece (278,1 kg) is in private hands. The first piece ever found there by sergeant Cobliner (77,5 kg) in 1914 is now at the Geological Museum in Kraków.

But lots of Morasko meteorite is here in private collectors hands.

So far its the most easy iron meteorite you can find here in central europe. In Germany we have lots of meteorites but most are stony meteorites so they are not so easy to spot.

It was found in 2017 by Andrzej Owczarzak and Michał Nebelski outside this natural reserve.and weighs ca 271 kg after cleaning.
