USA News and Poland - part 17

Social security and medicare are the two biggest,

I believe the government's handling of Social Security is problematic, and I view it as a form of theft rather than a legitimate entitlement. It's more akin to highway robbery.

When Social Security was established, certain areas in Texas were excluded by law, which forced them to create their own safety net similar to Social Security. The outcome for those areas at retirement is remarkable: they receive checks that are significantly larger than what Social Security offers. Although I don't know the precise amount, I recall reading that it was five times the size. Even if it turned out to be just twice as much, that would still be enviable.

I'm not entirely certain about these details; it might just be an urban legend. However, I think it's worth researching further.

When Social Security was established

So, you mean in 1935.

certain areas in Texas were excluded by law

No, they were not. Only certain occupations were excluded.

Although I don't know the precise amount, I recall reading that it was five times the size. Even if it turned out to be just twice as much, that would still be enviable.

If only your tale was true. But then if it were true, you'd have no trouble providing sources which prove what you claim.

And you hate the church too. Impossible level of socialism on display with you. Move to China and enjoy.

@AntV
I have paid into SS for 40 years, and I will never see a dollar of it. Anyone relying on SS is fvcking retarded. It should be turned into an investment account. Anything less is a waste of time. As for health benefits, there needs to be something done to cut the costs of treatment to reasonable expenses. It all goes back to colleges, and skyrocketing costs due to skyrocketing professor pay and unions. Those retirement plans are golden parachutes.

I completely agree. It is one of the reasons government is not the ideal party to help those in genuine need-they can't define who is and who isn't because they don't typically have contact with them, and if they do they must follow flawed and rather vague procedures, which means if you know how to game the system, you'll get what you want. Gaming the system is a cottage industry, I know this not by simply having heard the scheming with my own two ears but from bureaucrats who work for social security and human services. The system allows it.

The negative effect is a domino effect of negativity from the recipient down to the taxpayer and community. True need does exist, the question is who provides the best and most effective care for those in genuine need.

No, 'ordinary folk', whatever they are don't spend their time obsessing about migration.

Jon, you are out of touch..... they do.

And no, nobody gets 'housing priority over 'Brits''.

Complete and utter bollox, not only can I see it with my own eyes but my daughter works for a left wing local council as a Housing supervisor, she knows... and she's a leftie like you!

@My dear Przelotnyptak1,
the Jews only learned to mimic the Church!
After all, it was the mediaeval Catholics who
first practiced the habit (no pun intended) of
"selling" indulgences as an easy pass to heaven,
right? Luther fought against it tooth and nail. To my
knowledge, such a practice was foreign to the Jews.

Church is synonymous here with mosque or synagogue
aka generic religious institutions which rely heavily, if
not exclusively in the past forty years since Reagan,
on financial contributions and favors trading.

Neither group is "whiter then snow".

they can't define who is and who isn't

One thing is black and white...

Illegals should never qualify for ANY heath care - ERs included.

I am not obligated to give some azzhole who broke into my house a bandaid because he cut himself in the process. I wouldn't call 911, either..."You are free to go, though..."

You can't? I am so sorry...but that is not my problem...I will just sit here and watch you bleed...

No, I am not a very nice person when I am threatened...

Funny thing about reading this at this very moment is that I'm in a barber shop (no Novi, I'm not get my "hair" cut, my son is). The barber shop is run by latiinos. I'm sure 90% are not here legally. I should stand up and shout "bleed illegals". Haha.

Is this especially at your request? My source is my memory; you can take it or leave it. I don't provide sources ever and I don't care whether you accept it or not.

What is the connection between my question and your answer? I am confused because your response seems scattered and unclear.

I make a distinction between one illegal and 10 million of them.

Remember "The Birds"? One bird - cute...1 million birds - scary...

Remind me which party is favoured by the states which make the highest net contributions per person to the US treasur

You left Britain, camped out in Poland, and now think you're the authority on US taxes? Stick to what you know, Lazarus - which is running from your own country.

Hey, Laz, blue commie states are rich and leftist because it's easy to be a leftie when you are rich.

Private schools, armed security guards, fenced houses, gated subdivisions, money up your ass...you get the drift...

Then you can be against guns and for migrants to nanny your kids and cut your grass...

Pope Leo Slams Trump, Vance, and Hegseth
Pope Leo XIV had no kind words for this administration's stance on immigration, war, or what it means to be "pro-life."

Hey, Leo, we don't tell you how to run the Vatican...so fvck off and don't tell us ... anything...Just STFU and mind your own business...

Do you know where your priests are and what they are doing?

You left Britain, camped out in Poland, and now think you're the authority on US taxes?

So, you're not going to tell which party is preferred by the states that make the highest per person net contributions to the US treasury. I wonder why that might be. Could it be that despite all their b!tching about welfare queens it's actually Republican voters who spend their lives suckling from mommy government's tits?

I really do hope that the west coast states and New England leave your union, the red states would rank about the same level as Brazil without Democrats funding them.

If we cant make fun of the past what good is it. Kind of like talking about Billy Carter, good for nothing but being smarter than his brother the former president.

No more scattered or unclear than your question, Przelotnyptak1.
You asked about how "pure" I claim the Jews were as compared with
the Catholics and I replied that no group has a monopoly on purity:-)

The quoted part is clear, but the context about Martin Luther and the sale of sin forgiveness is completely confusing to me.

Martin Luther

The same city...two streets...

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Next to it:

Washington

WTF?

You're like every other foreign keyboard warrior - obsessed with America because it's still the center of the world, while you're stuck complaining from the cheap seats:)

Imagine hating America so much you beg for secession while squatting in Poland. Don't worry, Lazarus, we'll keep the lights on without your wisdom - just like the UK kept moving without you...lol

Those statements coming from an obvious mental midget. I have always said, its only a coward that cheers a hero falling or sumbling. So the US stumbled a bit from the woke left fvcktards. Now its getting cleaned up. And the woke left are disappointed because the hero didnt fall.
