A "humorous" aside to US 47th President

Lyzko  45 | 9892

Trump reminds me more and more of the Groucho Marx character Otis P. Driftwood
in "A Night at the Opera" (1935), a rollicking, desperately needed comedy during the
height of the Great Depression.

Driftwood: This contract begins herewith "The party of the first part shall hereinafter be known as the party of the first part...."
Romanelli (played by brother Chico): No, no, I uh-no lik-uh that one.... (proceeds to tear up that part of the contract!)
Driftwood: Ahemm, "To wit, hereinafter, all parties therein shall....
Romanelli: Uh-uh, boss, I no lik-uh that one either....

And this hysterical routine keeps going on from there.

How similar to President Trump:

Drone aide: Ahemm, Mr. President, the Constitution most emphatically states..
Trump: Naaah, don't like that one, just get rid of it.....
Aide: But, uh, Mr. President, the Social Security Act, Citizens Panel, Civilians Board....
Trump: Fuhgettabout it, we don't need it.

etc... ad nauseum

I fail to grasp the immediate connection here, jon.

No matter what, you are immediately disconnected from reality when you say it. The best I can do is ask you to disappear from PF and ride into the Brooklyn sunset
Well, I am not sure about the Brooklyn sunset, so correcting myself, I urge you to get lost in the dense smog, never to find the comeback trail.

the Constitution most emphatically ...

...does not authorize the Supreme Court to give president orders...yet the nine robes try it anyway...

I fail to grasp

The clue's in the thread title. There's a limit to the Groucho stuff though a certain politician is a bit like the one in Duck Soup, "I've got my principles, and if you don't like them, I've got other"...

A "humorous" aside to US 47th President...

Indeed, we did...

Is this screenshot real or a hoax?

Doesn't matter. What matters is that this screenshot is full of facts.

Trump reminds me

Who cares? You are detached from reality. I wonder if that is due to a standard progressive mindset? Maybe it is specific only to you - are you some delusional victim of the 60' drug overdose - it fired your brain, man.

Ah, when the political points run dry, its time for bad imperssions and Groucho jokes?

Youre not describing Trump- youre describing your own argument, outdated, inchorent, and falling apart for laughs...lol

You should rename the title of this thread. Here are some options for you.

1. "TDS: Terminal Derangement Syndrome - Now Playing in DelusionVision"

2. "Orange Man Rented Space in My Head: The Ongoing Saga"

3. "The Trumpocalypse Diaries: Screaming Into the Void Since 2016"

4. "Meltdown Marathon: Brought to You by Groucho Marx and Zero Evidence"

5."From FDR to Fantasy: One Man's Struggle Against Reality"

Ill pick #5 its perfect for you!

Ask Lyzko if he voted to Kamala.

He doesn't respond to me.

5."From FDR to Fantasy: One Man's Struggle Against Reality"

Excellent Joker, what more can I say? Write more often; there is an urgent need for coherent, sober, truthful opinion.A constant stream of diarrhea from
Golden Moron, and deceptive deludge of lies, from double forked tongue from England can be overwhelming.

...Vincent as an exception...

Vincent was a gem. Gentleman in every respect. Open, honest, engaging with the timely comment, pleasure to have him as a moderator, not todays upierdliwiec
day and night, comparing the two.

I did vote for Kamala, if only as one vote for sanity in the family.
Furthermore, in the US, there is a separation not only between
Church and State, hence making us a democracy vs. a theocracy,
but most importantly, between the third branch of our government,
the Judiciary, from the Executive.

No president has the unlimited power of a despot, even if Trump
does behave like a sandbox bully and attempts to dismiss anything
which doesn't suit his fancy!

I did vote for Kamala, if only as one vote for sanity in the family.

So, you voted for Kamooola "for sanity" and got skyrocketing inflation, global embarrassment a VP who speaks in motivational poster quotes...lol

And thanks for the 7th grade civics lesson, nobody asked, and you still got it wrong. Meanwhile, youre still throwing tantrums about Trump like its still 2017. Let it go, "Snowflake of the State".

HaHaHaHa!...... that's all we need to know about you.....

Hes crying coz Trump cut funding to his propaganda news source NPR.

s, from double forked tongue from England can be overwhelming.

I have a hard time taking anything a gay has to say seriously. There are mental issues with these ppl.

I realized that she wouldn't win, yet, I also voted for Biden the first time as well,
thinking that he'd lose, maintaining hope of a victory of sanity.
Joker  2 | 2490

So you knowingly voted for a losing ticket-twice- and call it sanity?

Thats not civic duty, thats emotional damage disguised as patriotism.

No wonder the country`s on fire with ppl like you proudly steering it into a wall and calling it "responsible".

between the third branch of our government, the Judiciary, from the Executive.

BS. Just recently, the Supremes told Trump to get Garcia and bring him here.

I would tell them to go to hell and get the scum themselves.
OP Lyzko  45 | 9892
22 May 2025   #22
But of course you are emotionally sound.

Paul Krugman was right; Trump brought out the racists like yourself, to vote
against themselves, blinded by prejudice and lumping all failed liberal programs
into one pot.

Thats not civic duty, thats emotional damage disguised as patriotism.

Only those who truly hate this country would do such a thing.

That's why Jews voted 80-20 for Kamala. That's all you need to know to understand pogroms and "Poles and Jews" phrase.

I don't know what TDS is but American Jews tend not to support Israel.....kinda makes them not proper Jews.

2 Jews were gunned down in cold blood this morning. Did you see Lyzko even mentioning a word about it? Hes probably supports Hamas like the rest of the Dems .
