He seems to be a very good Pope.

The pope said: "For example, CEOs that 60 years ago might have been making four to six times more than what the workers are receiving, the last figure I saw, it's 600 times more than what average workers are receiving."

The Pope added that he had heard that "Elon Musk is going to be the first trillionaire in the world". He said: "What does that mean and what's that about? If that is the only thing that has value any more, then we're in big trouble."

Pope Leo seems reasonable. I just hope they stop all those commercial concerts and business events in Vatican.

I guess it's going to be very hard for people like Musk, Buffet, or Gates to say goodbye to earthy riches.

Give it a year or two and they will host the most colorful pride parade ever...with gay pedo priests from all over the world...

He seems to be a very good Pope.

Like the other popes, he is a leftist loon. Against the death penalty, for open borders, against ICE, the police, and the wall...except his own, of course...

So far, no miracles to make him a saint...So they are already looking for a couple of toothless women in Peru who got their teeth back without going to a dentist.

The Church is no left-wing in principle.

The Church is no left-wing in principle.

The church is leftwing in terms of some policies (redistribution of wealth, helping the poor etc) and rightwing in others (sanctity of marriage, anti-abortion etc).

....a big part of the german church is definitely left wing, putting themselves on the sides of the Greens, even if these are not believers....the numbers of churchgoer and church tax payer is sinking steadily for years!

They could also need one like Charlie Kirk, I guess.....someone charismatic who brings the young ones in again. Right now the german church (the institution) is fading away....

redistribution of wealth, helping the poor etc

More centrist than anything.

That and the fact that both the church and moderate politics are informed by the teaching of the gospels.

The church has no legal right to run the country in any way or it should immediately lose the tax-exempt status as well as any other privilege given to it as a religious organization.

On my island, churches, temples, and mosques would be treated, tax-wise, as any comedy club or a theatre.

TV preachers asking for donations would be subject to the laws that make false advertising a crime.

The fact that the US treats the Vatican as a state is beyond ridiculous.

If they were Chicago Black Thugs, the outcome would be the exact opposite...
