Pope Francis has officially approved allowing priests to bless same-sex couples.



In the document published today, it is stated that people "who seek God's love and mercy" should not be subject to "exhaustive moral analysis", AP reported. The doctrine elaborates on a letter Pope Francis sent to two conservative cardinals, published in October, in which he suggested such blessings could be offered under certain circumstances if they did not interfere with the ritual and sanctity of marriage.
