Habemus Papam / The New Pope

Our relationship with Christ and his employees is voluntary.

That is correct. If you don't want to have relationship with Christ, He loves you so much that he won't force himself upon you.

God looked down at it and did nothing.

Maybe he put God on an ignored list, too. If you don't want to have anything to do with someone, don't always expect them to rush to help you out.

If he was a human person, he would be tried and executed just like the guys in Nuremberg

Tried and executed for not being a personal genie on call?

When you see one person burnt alive and another cured from a stage IV cancer - why do you blame God for the death and keep silent about the second chance in life?

I don't care. As I said - they are wrong by definition

And you are wrong by their defińition. God is bigger than any one set of religious beliefs; even the RCC acknowledge that.

Read the Bible (God's word)

Most of the OT is just oral tradition from an Iron Age society.

Tried and executed for not being a personal genie on call

Quite. Some people see prayers for intercession as a sort of vending machine.

That only matters if you believe in a God.
I don't.

Quite. Some people see prayers for intercession as a sort of vending machine

True. And I find that sad and pathetic,

Tried and executed for not being a personal genie on call?

When a priest is molesting an 8-year-old boy, that boy is unable to call even his mom or dad.

God shouldn't have to be called with that big screen in front of him...

God should come down on the priest like a ton of bricks and turn him into a bloody pancake. Somehow, it's not happening or there would be forensics to that effect.

You do remember that God drowned millions without a hearing...Now his agent in the Vatican objects to the US deporting foreign scum after the hearings...

WTF?

People rebelled against God and we got a messed up world. But God sent his Son, Jesus, to forgive our sins and give us eternal life. We still have to continue living in a broken world where abuse and suffering exist. But it's just temporary if you accept Christ to be your savior.

Otherwise, you keep judging God you don't believe in. If so, what is your solution to a teacher molesting a child? Remember, you are on your own, you cannot call God for help as He doesn't exist in your opinion. Not sending kids to school maybe?

What would be your solution to a natural disaster like an earthquake where thousands of people die? Maybe kill these people before they experience the disaster?

As an atheist, you have absolutely no solution. Blaming someone who doesn't exist is short of insanity.

God, a child-molesting priest, and his victim exist independently of me so drag me into this mess.

I have a right to comment and ask question as a bystander. If you guys keep your mouth shut, I will, too...

Apparently our new Pope has a degree in Mathematics.

That means he doesn't just understand sin, he also understands cos, tangent and hypoteneuse...

Then the azzhole should know that every dollar we spend on migrant scum is a dollar we don't spend on the Americans who need help.

This is not true, because you are investing in new Americans just as you invested in an "azzhole" from Poland 40 years ago.

Pope Leo unhappy with US immigration policy and won't stay silent, brother says.

Memo to President Trump:

If this azzhole gives you any shlt about migrants, tell him that the DoJ will sue RCC for discriminating against women and for false claims about miracles. Use RICO if necessary.

What a great move from the Vatican!
Hopefully this will embolden love and compassion in the hearts of everyday Americans to embrace our Lord and spread love in America.

The forces of evil and those succumbed to hate will be vanquished and love between human beings will blossom and expand.

This is great! Now Americans will have the possibility to take a step away from both Democratic and Republican party and the MAGA cult fanatics without feeling like they would abandon America, but choose the only right direction for America!

Down with the hypocrisy and hypocritical «good doers» and down with the brutish tyrants that only truly see to themselves first.

There is hope and a good future for America ahead! :)

and spread love in America.

I am all for it as long as that spreading is voluntary and only among US-born Americans and excluding foreign bastards aka anchor babies.

Memo to the world: I apologize for half of another leftist idiot you will be stuck with for the next 20 years. It's up to Peru to apologize for the other half.

And every human should have the chance and hope to live a fulfilling life, not that only bound by profession. Low or high, nor by culture. West or east! :)

Wonderful little video showing Pope talking in English for a short while too with commentary

Good luck with that one in a nakedly capitalistic society.

Pope talking in English

It's his first language of course and it was nice to see him start the Mass in English the other day.

It's very easy to drown in materialism in a capitalistic society! I just hope people can find the way from it, without having to go through a revolution

True, however so many drown due to lack of material resources in such societies; thousands go bankrupt over there every year due to hospital 'bills'.

I just hope people can find the way from it, without having to go through a revolution

Hopefully all good people think that, however people who hoard society's resources for themselves tend to be pernicious, greedy and amoral. And sometimes sadly effective in the short/medium term.

And every human should have the chance and hope to live a fulfilling life

Two words that make me want to puke are forgiveness and redemption when applied to a guy who raped and strangled a 10-year-old girl. Just an example...

I would pay a lot to end his life or at least watch him take his last breath.

If God wants to forgive him, I am OK with that as long as it is not here.

BTW, I wonder how the RCC would react to a claim that Jesus had a family and lived happily until he died peacefully at 80.

Since I am normal, I would be relieved...I don't think Pope would be happy...

Interesting that he's the first Pope who (through the Cajun part of his family) has Black and Native American roots.

He seems a very interesting person, and as a Mathematician and polyglot, obviously has a razor sharp mind.

Whether you live for 10 years or 90, what difference does it make compared to eternity? True believers don't struggle with this daily dilemma as they see the infinity symbol (∞) and find peace in its promise.

@Tlum
That's very beautifully said.

We are stewards of this beautiful round planet orbiting our sun, part of one small arm of the Milky Way, one of billions of galaxies in a universe (or u oversee) far too vast for the human mind to comprehend. Even after our time on earth, the earth will go on, turning assuming the Anthropocene era doesn't destroy it through greed.

True believers don't struggle

It's fine to struggle, fine to have crises of faith. Just asking as we don't ever lose sight of:
the infinity symbol (∞) and find peace in its promise.

has Black and Native American roots.

The lowest two groups on the IQ scale.

No wonder he went for priesthood - a profession that is less demanding than driving trucks. You just mumble all day long and hope nobody asks what you just said.

That's what you do when your IQ is too low to be creative.

So what in the end?

The eschaton.

Too early for that, first woke must become official religion, democrats consolidate power in the hands of one lunatic leftist. Jon, the leader of Muslim extremists
confiscate all available examples of the Constitution and Bible, smoking weed, cocaine, by the fire of burning Constitution, and singing Kumbaya they sail to the depths of hell. So eschaton for them, but dawn of hope for the rest of us:::)))

People with razor-sharp minds make Teslas and become the richest in the world. In their spare time, they save the United States.

People with a low IQ go to Peru to feed goats and the illiterates.

Hey, Mr. English expert, you forgot a hyphen...

In other words, goat herders become popes and weirdos remain weirdos.

goat herders become pope

God forbid they'd get a shepherd, razor sharp mind or not.

What next? A fisherman?

There is a rule...The bigger the lie, the more smoke and chanting ... and fewer opportunities to ask questions...

Also...Never trust a man who speaks and sings at the same time... He is fvcking with your brain.
