The National Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday that searches are underway in various places across the country, at the request of prosecutors investigating the use of funds from the Justice Fund. Among others, the house of former Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro was searched . As MEP Patryk Jaki reported on the X website, in the same case the services entered the houses of MPs Michał Woś, Marcin Romanowski and Dariusz Matecki.


The fact that there would be such an investigation - regarding the gigantic public money distributed by Ziobro, also for the promotion of his party - was obvious. Especially since the first report of the Supreme Audit Office in 2021 - the conclusion was that the money was distributed "in an uneconomical and purposeless manner, which was intended to favor the emergence of corruption mechanisms." And it's hundreds of millions, PLN 400 million a year to be precise.

Of course, during the rule of United Right parties, neither the Supreme Audit Office's report nor its notifications to the prosecutor's office headed by Zbigniew Ziobro sparked any investigations. The matter was swept under the carpet. Even though the Chamber prepared material which showed that huge sums were awarded to organizations and ventures that were established several days before the competition was announced and that won, even though the conditions included a "previous experience" section. It also showed that the money was spent contrary to the experts' assessment, and no one held the beneficiaries accountable. And that organizations take money, do one action and disappear. And finally, that Zbigniew Ziobro has the right to award grants personally, without competition, without criteria.


Each day new scandals, scams, thievery of the once ruling rightists are surfacing. It seems they have beaten all indecent records in Poland, even topping corrupt communists.

Two MPs from Sovereign Poland will be charged with rigging competitions for million-dollar subsidies from the Justice Fund. This is about Marcin Romanowski and Dariusz Matecki. The prosecutor's office is preparing applications to the Sejm to waive their immunities, according to Onet.

Zbigniew Ziobro's trusted man, Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski, is the hero of the latest installment of the Justice Fund scandal, the "Ziobrists tapes" . As part of the ministry's leadership, he directly supervised the Justice Fund and was recorded by his colleague Tomasz Mraz, who headed the Fund.

The recordings show that Romanowski determined in advance who would win competitions for million-dollar grants from the Justice Fund, even before the competitions were announced. What's more, the recordings indicate that some competitions were announced for specific foundations related to the Ziobroists, right-wing media and organizations related to the Church. - Minister Romanowski received instructions from Minister Ziobro about which entities were to win, and with him he agreed on the list of these entities and information on when the competitions were to be announced, Mraz revealed.

Investigations that were inconvenient for PiS are back! Lovely!

Ten criminal proceedings concluded in the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw during the United Right government have now been resumed. These are the first results of the query of cases that prosecutors dismissed or refused to initiate investigations before the change of government.

One of the ten proceedings that prosecutors will re-examine concerns suspicions of fraud in the European Parliament to service MPs' offices - it concerns Ryszard Czarnecki and Kosma Złotowski . PiS con men are escaping to foreign countries to avoid court trial in Poland.

The prosecutor has issued a decision to issue an arrest warrant for Michał Kuczmierowski, former president of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves, the National Prosecutor's Office reported on Monday.
Evidence has been obtained that allowed charges to be brought against Kuczmierowski for "participating in an organised criminal group and exceeding their powers and failing to fulfil their duties in order to gain a material benefit", which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The services have evidence that the suspect fled the country."

The funny thing is there is no court order. The court ruled there was no issue. So the Prosecution office is acting like some banana republic office issues those warrants. The National Electoral Commission has decided to reject the financial report of PiS. The party's subsidy will be reduced by 10 million złoty . What's more, PiS may lose the subsidy for three years which will entail the loss of further millions.

First, the party must return the entire amount questioned by the National Electoral Commission, i.e. PLN 3.6 million, to the State Treasury.
Secondly. The subsidy for parties to cover election campaign expenses is reduced by three times the amount of PLN 3.6 million, i.e. by PLN 10.8 million.
Third, the annual party subsidy for PiS will be reduced. By how much? Also by three times the amount of PLN 3.6 million. In four years of this term of the Parliament, it will be PLN 43.2 million.
In total, PiS is going to lose 57.6 million zlotys.
