to play in such conditions

That is why there are voices demanding the resignation of the WTA leader - he is accused of incompetence and negligence.
PS. Strange that PiS rightist infection is spreading onto people in other countries.

Looks like Legia hooligans are attacking the Aston Villa stadium because they're not allowed in.

Hopefully there will be plenty of arrests.

"A statement from Birmingham Police said: "We're currently unable to allow away fans into Villa Park following disorder outside the stadium which has seen missiles thrown at officers. Three officers have already been injured & a significant policing operation continues. Please avoid Witton Lane where possible."

63 arrests, three police officers injured (one set on fire) and the Legia Hooligans were also setting off flares (illegal at U.K. sports events) and attacking vehicles. Hopefully Legia will be banned by UEFA from taking part in international tournaments.

Legia Hooligans

They behaved like Roman legionaries.

Roman legionaries.

That's not a high bar.

Hopefully Legia will be banned from Europe.

@jon357
It is often that a host stadium sells too few seats for opposing fans to Enter to try and increase their chances of winning. I bet that's what happened here and why Legia fans did what they did. Never the less, I hope they get banned. Not only do I see Legia as rivals, but also a shame to Warsaw. Hope that Club finally disappears and "Palace of culture" with it

Tickets were restricted by the police well in advance on the basis of specific intelligence that the hools were planning trouble and Legia's owners refused to cooperate. Additionally, some hools brought flares which are illegal.

I hope they get banned.

The same. It seems their management are as bad as their ultras.

I see Legia as rivals

I prefer Warzawa Polonia myself.

Additionaly?..I would say traditionally

They refused to give out the tickets number specified by UEFA, they agreed with the club on lower number but without a word reduced that too (that according to the Polish journalists).

That being said that is obviously no excuse for what happened and the participants should be punished.

They refused to give out the tickets number specified by UEFA

They reduced the allocation on the very wise advice of the police. Legia refused to cooperate with UEFA, the host club and the police. Nor did they bother to pass on the information to their fans, many of whom travelled without tickets and with the sole intention of committing crimes.

Pretty well the same way the hools (and the club's shameful 'management') behaved at Alkmaar and other matches. All Polish clubs need to be banned from international tournaments until they deal with hooliganism. Just banning Legia alone isn't enough to stop the institutionalised violence.

that according to the Polish journalists

Better to take the official police statement more seriously than Polish 'journalists'.

Additionaly?..I would say traditionally

Not in the UK. They are illegal at sports events for very good reasons.

the participants should be punished.

They certainly will be, however the problem needs to be addressed within Poland before there's a major tragedy.

Buahaha. Love that one. Group responsibility?

Buahaha.

Tough.

Group responsibility?

Of course.

The problem is too big and too systemic to be dealt with by only banning Legia.

Is this a joke? Did you people see what happened in paris during the champions league final? Just wait till the Olympics that will be a riot (literally)
jon357 74 | 22,060

that will be a riot (literally)

Hopefully they've learnt their lesson from poor organisation before, however Olympics visitors are unlikely to riot and large groups of Polish 'ultras' can't afford tickets or the crazy prices for hotels during the Games anyway.

A bigger worry is terrorism, however the security is going to be crazy strong. Even then, there's always a risk.

Ewa Swoboda has a world championship medal. And she talks about dissatisfaction
Ewa Swoboda won the silver medal in the 60 m run during the 19th World Indoor Championships in Athletics, which takes place in Glasgow. This is the first disc for the Polish national team at this championship.

After yesterday's play-offs to Euro 2024 in Germany we know that Polish, Ukrainian and Georgian footballers will be playing in this year's European Championship.

We also know that Russian footballers will still be playing only with their dicks (or with Serbia, which is pretty much the same thing ;))

Hey, Russia - maybe, just maybe, it would be a good time to stop invasions in Europe and rejoin the great, happy Football Family. *high five*
