is it or is it not a fact that Obajtka is under investigation for corruption?

It's a fact, as is made clear here polska.newsweek.pl/daniel-obajtek-szef-arimr-ma-zarzuty-o-korupcje,artykuly,374988,1.html (intro: Daniel Obajtek, the former mayor Pcim faces three charges. The first is related to its activities in local government. In 2010 he was going to receive 50 thousand. zł bribes in return for influence on the results of the tender for the construction of the sewage system. The other two are the result of his work in Elektroplaście several years ago. Obajtek had put the company at a loss of nearly 1.5 million zł and extort nearly 800 thousand. zł.) and here polska.newsweek.pl/daniel-obajtek-oskarzony-o-korupcje,artykuly,379328,1.html (intro: Accused of bribery and numerous scams Head of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture Daniel Obajtek lost on Tuesday clash with justice. The court in Sieradz rejected the request of the defense Obajtka to discontinue the proceedings in his case.)

Three separate charges of corruption? Just goes to show exactly what kind of company PiS keep. That follows on from the curious appointment of the Chief of Police being under investigation for corruption.

It seems that every day brings a new story of just how corrupt PiS are.

This time, it concerns the Agency for Reconstruction and Modernisation of Agriculture, which is responsible for paying out CAP funds to farmers.

In other words, you support appointing criminals to public jobs as long as it's not PO?

At least you've admitted that you want to see Poland in the hands of corrupt criminals.

Gregy, you've openly admitted that you're willing to tolerate people under suspicion of corruption heading up top jobs in Poland.

You might as well stop writing, because at the end of the day, it means you support corruption.

In other words, you're a corrupt partisan who cares nothing for the Polish public as long as your enemies are hurt....

Perhaps you're hoping for an appointment you're not qualified for yourself?

a corrupt partisan who cares nothing for the Polish public as long as your enemies are hurt.

You mean a supporter of PIS?

an appointment you're not qualified for yourself?

Isn't anybody who's a corrupt partisan who cares nothing for the Polish public as long as the enemies of Chairman Kaczynski are hurt is by definition perfectly qualified for any job in the eyes of PIS?

It's just staggering how many people have been appointed to jobs without even a competition. Almost all of these people fired are going to win huge payouts in the labour courts - meanwhile, the country is paralysed. PiS have even put our food supply under threat because farmers haven't received the money needed for this year!

PiS have even put our food supply under threat because farmers haven't received the money needed for this year!

PiS supporters don't care anything about Polish farmers (who have sometimes voted for PSL instead of them). PiS supporters care about money, money, money and power (to take more money).

All the talk about koryto is pure projection. They can't imagine anyone in the public sector not wanting to raid the public coffers for all they're worth (it's what they want to do after all while spinning glib lies about repolonization or patriotism).

It's almost like a Latin American junta come to power (and so far far worse than most had feared it would be). I think Poland is going to take some huge financial hits that take it back economically at least 10 years....

It transpires that out of 23 Generals in the General Command of the Armed Forces, five of them have asked to leave

Good, pity that only five left!

And here we have an example of a PiS supporter wishing that the armed forces become incompetent and useless.

Gregy, don't try and back out of it now. You've openly admitted that you support corruption by PiS.

First day of the Brave New World of Ziobro having absolute power over the prosecution system in Poland, and we already see the first action against the political opposition. They couldn't even wait until after the weekend.

Krzysztof Wyszkowski announced on Twitter that he gave notice to the Attorney General on suspicion of committing a crime : commiting treason on behalf of Germany by Donald Tusk.

natemat.pl/173375,prokuratura-wg-ziobry-ruszyla-wyszkowski-zawiadamia-o-zdradzie-stanu-donalda-tuska

The leader of Nowczesna, Ryszard Petru warned :

I have serious concerns that there will be show trials. A denunciation would be a sufficient source of information to recognize someone as a suspect.

As predicted, we're about to see a wave of show trials against members of the previous government. PiS have never forgotten what most of them learnt in the PRL about the justice system, except that this time, they're not going to give up power.

A comment from an article you linked went (roughly) L Kaczyński liquidated the heads of the armed forces near Smolensk and J Kaczyński wants to finish the job in Poland.

If I didn't know better, I might suspect that the grand master scheme of JK (and bootlicks like AM) is to return Poland to the Russian sphere of influence. Do I know better?

without even a competition

Indeed, that was one of the charges against the PO/PSL era Agricultural Agency -- bypassing tenders and PSL using funds meant for farmers to bankroll their election campaign. The agency's directors lived it up on taxpayer money and provided perks, bonuses, booze and entertainment galore for themselves.

I said it a while ago. There's no other explanation for the hostility shown to almost every Western institution while going strangely quiet in so far as Russia is concerned. Furthermore, the constant attacks in the media from Russia have almost ceased - which is odd.

Meanwhile Polonius shows the real agenda of PiS - to blame the last government for everything while doing everything 10 times worse themselves.

Have you noticed that some of the worse right-wing 'news' websites are now running stories claiming that Poland contributes more to the EU than it gets back?
delphiandomine  86 | 17823
4 Mar 2016   #1253
Of course, it's all part of the plan. They need to discredit the EU in Poland so that when the EU inevitably takes an axe to the funding that Poland is getting, they can point and say EVIL EU IS SCREWING US OVER!

Meanwhile Morawiecki is busy making plans to take half a trillion złoty from the EU.

not right wing news but all,,onet, and wp.pl as well..its partly true, but its not whole picture.its explained why this situation is taking place.

Poland paid its contribution in one lot while money from EU will come later this year in forms of subsidies ect.
so as its current situation stand,Poland has contributed more than it took from EU at the moment. i think that how it was explained.
OP Polonius3  980 | 12275
4 Mar 2016   #1255
Poland has contributed more

Subsidies are only a part of it. On balance, foreign interest groups have extracted more profits from Poland, usualy underpaying and/or mistreating their Polish employees and destroying indigenous Polish business to boot, than what Poland got from the EU. The subsidies enabled the EU/foreign interest establishment to set Poland up and exploit it far beyond the funds the country receives from Brussles.

Net Poland pays in less than it gets out. You can argue about non tangibles but those are the facts. Anyone elses opinion other than that is simply wrong.

Conspiracy theory much?
Kicking few old guard comrades from the top echelons in the army was long overdue. Polish army doesn't needs hundreds of general with soviet education in their 60'. Poles need foot soldiers and officers in their prime.

Those generals are just redundant and costly, not to mention that they are potentially a threat to the national security.

RE the EU you're right. I am speakign about the overall balance of cash transfer including Poland's paymenty tot eh EU, EU sibsidied for Poland, ot EU, profits extratced by foreign groups from Poland, Polish export revenues and import losses. That's what realy coutns. The EU and foreign business have set Poland up as an unprocessed goods exporter, cheap manpower and real estate country to exploit.
