Yesterday evening they brought me 2,5 m3 of sawn wood to the fireplace. I didn't have to pay in rubles, only in Euro. 250 Euro is probably pretty good. Today it's on fire ( on trial).🔥

Reportedly, the ruble has fallen to its lowest level since March 2022, i.e. since the beginning of the war. Well, sanctions work. And it will be even worse when China will "take care" of the Ruthenians economically. And Poland .... no longer has to pay in rubles.

However, because of the sanctions, Russia cannot sell or buy much from the West. Udmurtia is a republic, which is highest level administrative division possible in Russia (there are only 21 republics). However, Udmurtia is 70% Russian by ethnicity. Coming back to paying for gas, Germany followed Poland's footsteps and is building several gas terminals at its coast, they even have pipes left over from Nord Stream.

Now it would be cheaper to pay for gas in rubles, since we still import it.

The European Union is still buying Russian LNG, as much as ever, or even more. Currently, 52% of Russian LNG is sold to the EU. Nobody asks about rubles anymore.
